Tore, great vid as usual, if you ever do a Bakkelop again, could you take some shots under the bonnet so we can see the engines and interiors? Not much, just a brief few minutes? AS I am sure there are some weird layouts

God damn this is an amazing video!!! Just wish Hillclimb Racing was taken as seriously on the Nordic countries as it is on mainland Europe...
I thinkj you will find it is, for the guys competing, these are often multi purpose cars rather than the specialist stuff used in Europe, most of these are used in rallycross, rallying and other things.
It's droped a bit in interest over the years a lot due to not that great hills being used like Vikersund so only one race weekend this year but should be more next year again as it was 20-30 more cars this weekend compared to last year.
@@TorAndreBrresen Damn shame, love a bit of this, no Varna? Loved watching clips of that event, is this one on a bobsled run somewhere? Seem to recall one a few years back on a ski jump?
@@chunder27 No Varna unfortunately. Yeah this is by the olympic bob sleigh track from 94, same place as Henning Solberg and Kris Meeke drove down on Top Gear. The Ski jump hill is just 10min from here in Lillehammer

what kind of engine does most of the e30 run in the video ? volvo engine ? all cant be s14 engines ?
I belive the rally cars has the BMW engine but what the rally cross cars has is another story.There you can modify much more then on a rally car.
@@DrMcKay66 A lot of them run the Volvo Evo motor, 3 odd litres. But some of these BMW run a BMW unit too
Most of the BMW's use the 2.4L engine from BMW, the yellow Mercedes uses a Volvo engine and the blue 240 with the huge wing has a turbo engine with ALS. No S14 engines used as far as i know
@@chunder27 Them 3.0l volvo engines is only fitted on rallycross cars i belive.Rally engines in Group-H aint allowed more then 2,5l and 8 valves both in Sweden and Norway.It was that way when i looked up the rally rules for 2019.
There usually the normal engine or a 1.6 or some sort of Ford engine
