- Hey everyone, here is the start of my brand new series, and a style of video I have never made before, the idea here is that I will be going over the experience of completing various long deathless (YOLO) challenges, going over what the challenge is, explaining it in detail and my journey of trying to complete it in an interesting and educating kind of way, I hope you enjoy this new style and stay tuned for future videos.
In this video we talk about the acceptance cart from The End is Nigh, a challenge I completed back in 2018, so it's very old but I had fun going back and taking a look at what I did in the past.
the start of something brilliant
As someone who knows nothing about The End is Nigh, this video was very well done. Super concise, told me everything I needed to know, while also having fun visuals to keep me engaged. It's a very good debut to this series because it tells me that I don't need to know anything about the games in the challenge to enjoy the rest of the series. Looking forward to the next one!
Really entertainment and interesting
Awesome video! Excited to see more
Loving the new video style! Looking forward to the more challenging challenges
So glad you’re back!
i would definitely like to see more of these, as someone who hasnt played this game the explanation made it a lot more clear where a large chunk of the difficulty comes from so it made the video where u got it a lot more engaging to watch !! hopefully if there are other videos they are just as good :3
excited for the next ones (especially celeste, good luck on fwg)
I didn't think the short length was a problem. Definitely looking forward to more of these
hey i think this style of video is perfect, i love the editing! The explanations are really nice and I think this video definitely can reach out to people who don't even play games and still make sense. GJ
banger
Very nice video! I remember "100% ing"this game (minus the really hard achievements) a while back and it was a blast.
Really like this format of describing the challenges. It fits your editing style well.
Excited for this, i fw the commentary
Neat list of games, PUBG Pacifist sounds like a real goofball
its actually so stupid but funny
the most epic series on youtube going forward
Wonder if there's gonna be a part 2. Really enjoyed this one! But I understand if you don't want to. I personally have a huge problem with not finishing stuff
hopefully in the future yes!
Masterimaxify ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lake 👍
Video was quite good, a bit unfortunate that the start of the series was something with not as much history perhaps dampening how good it could be. But the format has potential so keep up with it and I think bangers can come out of some of the harder challenges you have faced 😄
YOLO
idk if you did the editing in this or someone else but it looks absolutely fantastic. good job man. Also i have no idea how but i died to that final area i think 50 times? wasn't in the best mental state there lol
wtf that is so many times lol, and yeah i made the whole video myself
Great content, but you need to improve that isaac achivement list.
LOL eventually okay
Hey where can I get the yolo quest roulette?
Yolo quest
You doing Celeste 202 is just farewell right?
yes but ill cover the whole game in the video when i make it
try terraria no hits
i didnt like terraria that much when i tried it
@@mastermaxify have you tried modded there are some cool mods like calamity and thorium
Also use the wiki and the guide for help
@@NotAGlitchAbuser thats kinda like the issue i had with terraria, its def a very well put together game i see the appeal, its just one of those games where you kinda have to research everything on the wiki and guides and i dont enjoy playing like that very much
I think the interesting thing to ask here is what you really want from these videos
Do you want to purely document your experience and every notable event?
Do you want to give a summary of what happened?
Or do you want to tell an engaging story for the viewers?
The style of the video you make will depend on the answer and currently, this to me seems like the first option of documentation.
As I personally enjoy more densely packed content, this video felt rather slow. For example, how important is it to explain the different types of carts if you only do one of them? You could say something like "End is Nigh has carts that act as challenges. This challenge is to beat the Acceptance cart, which is made out of 4 other carts you can play individually plus another one you can only see at the end. That means you need to beat 32 screens all while not dying - the cruel trait of this cart"
After this you can talk about each cart, but instead of treating each one like a section, you could instead go "Denial is the first cart and it isn't that hard, as it only took me 10 minutes. Anger is the second..." and so on, putting them not on an, imo, pretty pointless tier list, but on a graph that goes from 0 to 60 minutes - something that shows both your opinion on difficulty and objective statistic.
In total, this would probably make this section go from 4 minutes to 1-2, but whether this is good depends on, again, the style. For a story video, where your goal should be to emphasize the tragedy of losses and joy of wins, this would likely be a lot better as you would get to the emotionally engaging section faster. For documentation, your current style is better, but you have to ask who will watch this - people who care about TEIN and which cart is the hardest or people who don't know anything and just clicked because "the video be fun sometimes"?
Also, considering your experience with compilations, I think you should lean into that style of humor, since that's one of your stronger skills (though I do like 4:22 which needs to be a break inbetween explanation). You already do it, I'm just saying to either add more or not forget their importance.
Oh, and don't worry about short videos. I get that as creators we want to make these long hardfought stories of crushing lows and ecstatic highs, but you have to know what you are working with - the material you have here, the journey of beating acceptance, is a very small and largely unimportant story, so there's less need to explain how everything works.
Overall, hope this helps, I do think this style of content could work out pretty well. This video isn't particularly good, though, I'm certain you can do much better with a more interesting challenge.
look i appreciate the thoughts that you have offered, but im pretty decided at this point on what im aiming for, being entirely satisfied with my own creation, this video turned out far better than i had imagined, i dont really understand many of the points you mention at all, you complain about the video being too long when its less than 10 minutes? im confused, i think from the general reception, this format has worked excellently and hit the exact target audience i was going for, so i dunno, i dont see much to change
@@mastermaxify because for me the most impactful part of the video was the story, so, the end of the video, a large part of the explanation is largely unnecessary and ends up feeling like filler. I'm not telling you to change the format, as I said, this video explains a lot of details about the journey and this is fine, just not the type of content I personally seek out. You don't have to specifically adhere to my wishes, that's really dumb to do and it's best for you to do what you think is best. Because I thought you were experimenting with the style, I wanted to point out how the same story could be edited in a very different way.
Actually, here, an example - take the content creators Wirtual and SummoningSalt, who both cover progression of world records. Your content is similar to SummoningSalt, where it covers a lot of details that are important if you want to know everything about the story. Wirtual, on the other hand, is what I suggested - covering only the notable events and twists and emphasizing the story. Both are good, popular content creators, but I vastly prefer Wirtual because I him find to be a lot more engaging.
i ain't reading all that
i'm happy for u tho
or sorry that happened
