Rogue Trader is crafter with so much love, I'm 88 hours in and only on chapter 2, I'm trying to open up all the systems and make my ship a death rig.

The boss of chapter 1 is insanely difficult but not impossible. My only real complaint so far. That and the game has crashed to PS5 dashboard a few times.
I was worried for a minute that Rogue Traders wouldn't have booba armor but no need to fret.

I am playing the caiphas cain route. I help people only because I want them to be in between me and the enemy.
I've heard this game is pretty good and in line with the quality of previous Owlcat releases.
It'll probably only get better from now, as their games seem to launch with some issues that they eventually fix/improve.
TL;DR: This is a good 40k game, if you enjoy CRPG's with turn based combat against big groups of enemies. 🤓

A perfect time as I'm reading through the Siege of Terra books toward "The End and the Death".
This, combined with all the Christmas foods are providing for some *_mad_* 40K dreams.

A Rogue Trader is the sovereign of the void, a regal monolith striding across the chessboard of the heavens. Theirs is a lineage or a destiny carved from the obsidian of deep space. In their hands, they wield not just the helm of their ship but the wheel of fate itself. Within the hollow halls of their starbound galleon, they command not just souls made of flesh and blood, but also the celestial spirits of adventure and the ravenous ghosts of ambition.
On worlds where alien emperors reign unchallenged, a Rogue Trader is the shadow before the storm, the harbinger of a new dawn bedecked in war and wonder. With cannon and creed, they lay claim to these realms, scribing their names across the heavens in the indomitable language of conquest.
They sail on the lonesome cosmic seas, where planets lie like unclaimed jewels, and nebulae drape over the black like the gossamer veils of celestial brides. A Rogue Trader gazes upon these wonders with the eyes of a ravening conqueror, a beneficent ruler, and a curious scholar, all at once. The Rogue Trader game is ridiculously complicated. I have to be a Mathematician to understand/remember how the abilities/talents work!

Slightly off topic--but it does have rogue traders in the story and has lots of exploration--what's everyone's opinion of Graham McNeill's "Priests of Mars" trilogy?

What a a lovely game, and better of all if you play yours cards well you can have a really happy ending. For a WH40k standard that for me was awesome. Cassia best waifu.

I've played about 40 hours at this point and it really gets 40k right
I didn't finish the game yet, but i'd say it's an 8.5/10 CRPG, but a 10/10 40k game. Ship combat could be more fun, the trading system could be more complex and it could have better graphics, but the story, the builds and the regular combat are pretty good. It looks like it also has a good amount of replayability, with all the builds, origins and alignments. You and your companions feel like a lore-accurate amount of poweful, wich makes sense, considering you are a rogue trader and you travel around with psykers, sororitas, space marines and etc.
