This video is very helpful. I have a Whalefin pup that is about five inches tall and still emerging from the ground. It is still curled with red tips. I would normally want to leave it alone. However, the pup is about to crash into the mother plant which is leaning a bit to one side. Would you leave them alone and let them collide and then separate them when the pup is grown or separate them now in May during the growing season. Thank you for your advice!

Glad it was helpful! If the pup has roots big enough to support itself, I would remove it from the mother plant for sure. Keep me posted pls! 💚

So the pup will never get as big as the mother plant đŸ€”

It depends on the size of the motherplant, but if you have a small leaf, it's unlikely for the pups to grow massive in home conditions
