- Despite simply using the textures from ROTF/DOTM Optimus as a base, this is still possibly one of the most complex mods I've ever had to make. Of course, said "base" textures weren't perfect either so I went as far as to modify those for this skin as well. The result brings a new-looking Optimus far more accurate to his final CG model than he's ever been.
Level mod by Sun Rays (from the Alternative Mod), may he rest in peace.

Apparently, Starscream and Blackout was supposed to be a boss or mini-boss, even the audio files, but it was scrapped because this mission is focus on Megatron or is about to be, like an alternate instead of greenland with big statue when you play as Optimus on Autobot Mission. Maybe friendly A.I doesn’t work that well or they’re being too lazy or something.

That's actually shown here, the dialogue is the scrapped version, it looks like they had a hard time getting two bosses to work at once hence why Starscream, Blackout and Megatron randomly stop fighting when they're together. Odd because the Starscream and Blackout boss was the same idea.
That's really interesting when you think about it. This game nearly did the forest battle before ROTF was released.

This. Is. Amazing. I didn't realize how little detail the original textures had until I saw this, I always felt something was wrong with them, xd.
Optimus' default textures are probably of the most simplistic there are, it's mostly composed of single colors, no shading, barely any scratches, etc. It heavily relies on the other materials that blend with the environment. Only a few characters have much more detailing in their paint-job like Classic Bumblebee, Megatron and Starscream.

I always thought the levels were wrong. Optimus would never hide risking all those Autobots lives. On the contrary, Megatron wouldn't care.
So Day of Machines should be Optimus fighting Megatron and The Ultimate Doom being Megatron fighting Prime.

Amazing work! May I ask, how did you exactly do/paint the whole thing? Interested in the process
I copy-pasted DoTM Optimus' texture parts to TFTG Optimus', and then I made some modifications to fix/enhance what DoTM Prime had painted incorrectly or fix something that didn't matched, like the head and flames.
How I was able to achieve this is because I have access to both character's 3D models, extracted them by myself in 2 completely different ways.
This mod is fucking amazing I felt like I was watching live action transformers
I just love how you did a mix of DOTM & ROTF optimus prime's textures. The original one was inaccurate to the film, and the textures did not look very pleasing, it looked more like some mcdonalds figure tbh lol.
I always preferred the low graphics optimus, he looked better than the high graphics one despite having less polygon count on the model and worse textures.
Also i have a question: will the texture even retexture the lowered graphics optimus?
No, the low res. models are very different from the high res. ones.
Megatron is the only one to dislike this.

We’ll thats just awesome! Really cool! I need to mod my game “once and for all” nice use of the alternative mod as well as the falling animations. Always better to see a powerful character like Prime knock over someone like Starscream who never does get knocked down

You should make a cgi accurate version of megatron
Can you do a video showcasing the Day of the Machines mod where you fight Megatron as Optimus but the fight across the city is a bit more complex?. Megatron's AI is more tough, he transforms into a jet sometimes, you also fight: Starscream, Blackout, Brawl, Shockwave and Bonecrusher with some drones. Also I remember that Optimus and Megatron had a lot more of hidden dialogues in each fight in that mod. I believe that it was made by user Lord Megatron

I love how I can just walk all over the enemy like blackout but starscream did not go near me but instead standing in front of me while I was jazz😂 edit:also turns out you don't need object's to stop ANY enemy which is the ones who will run into you brute force (because i played ps2 version of the game,i found out you don't need one when it comes to enemies who will try to ram you but don't take my words as i don't know the difference on the pc one yet...
Question, idk if you just redid textures but, if you did how do you extract the models? Also great work this is outstanding.

Within a file from Optimus called "OPTIMUSPRIMESHAREDATTRIBS" there's a setting named "RecoilDamageNeeded". The numbers it contaims defines how easily knockable a character is, I simply copied and pasted it from another character who was far more knockable like Bumblebee, Blackout, etc.

They should've done this in the game cuz the Ultimate doon should've been for Megatron and this level for Optimus at least we get something thts close to the forest battle in Transformers 2. Also Optimus look in this game look so bad they should've made him look how is was in the film.

The sword looks really inaccurate to its movie counterpart, but I guess it looks fine.
Concept designs often make their way as the game models before the final CGI models are completed.
Optimus had several changes including his sword, henceforth it looks inaccurate. And without any way to change models there's no way to improve them except the textures themselves.

All the used music is from the Transformers movie games; TFTG, RoTF, DotM, etc.

@@cobrakaiworld23 yes they should! Remaster it with the unused content in it such as hooverext for an example. I wish they would restore that map and put it in the game with its missions.
