- ok so I've been working on it since September 2021, and after so long it's FINALLY FINISHED!!!!
and yes it's a bit of a vent, but I don't mind if you try to find out "the story behind" the animation x3

i feel like this video is running away from humiliation, the person is scared to be confronted for their mistakes because they wished that they could undo things from the past (explaining the black figures confronting and looking at them), and that they just want to let go on all the bad thoughts/memories.
On 0:54 , we see that they cant hold their pain and stress, and that there is a hint of fear, and they dont want to look towards that “fear”, and the screen blacks out.
We see their friends talking together, and the person looked less stressed and lonely, because they knew their friends would be there for them. But on 1:18 , we see that they get afraid and anxious, as if they felt uncomfortable, for holding the pain and trauma. We see also that they overthink everything and have a strong emotion of fear.
“I dream of you” : They dream of their friends because they probably have no one else to dream of or something. They dont want to wake up, because they dont want to continue anymore, because trauma and pain follows them. They enjoy their moments with their friends, but they dont want to wake up, because its a dream, they want to enjoy the moments together.
But we see the friends again, and they look dissapointed and angry, while he looks annoyed at himself, because he always did the wrong thing. They dont want to continue anymore because they have no one else to look after for.
A strike of fear happens towards them, and they also heavily breathe, as if they were trying to control their emotions. But he slowly breathes again, the realization that they know they cant do NOTHING about it, and accept it, and wait.
This is a really well-made and detailed explanation, great job! Also this could lead to potential lore, who knows
To be honest, I kinda hesitated to comment, Sense I'm not a good talker, But.. This explanation basically sums up what's happening in my life right now. But I don't have friends to go back to... Ever since.. The betrayal, I'm not feeling the same. I don't want to go outside. Let alone talk to anyone. Cause I have a feeling that people hate me. The only people I could really talk to comfortably are people who I've known for many months, I don't even talk to them in person, I only talk online, But there's a few exceptions. They are my grandmother. She has taken care of me almost all my life. And my uncle, He's a really chill guy. You're probably wondering "What about my mother?" She did not even take care of me when I was younger. She left me alone to party. "What about my father?" I never seen him after 2 months of being born. This has caused me to fall into depression. Although I do try and hide it. As well I don't want to make my grandmother feel sad, or like she has failed in taking care of me.
Anyways. Sorry for venting.

@@SRS_92 It's a real pit, yeah? Hell, I've even reached out and met some new people who always reassure me that they enjoy spending time with me, but it's always impossible to believe. To be honest, I don't know the solution yet. But I've figured out that running from the few people you have is the wrong one. As long as you aren't alone, you'll always have a way.

i've always had a huge respect to animators. They will draw an unbelievable amount of sketches and drawings that play over a tenth of a second (and most of the time this is just a minimum).
snownic; animating a two and a half minute video as a side project on a basic software along with regular other uploads shows how dedicated you are to animation. showing these pieces for free is an awesome privilege that i'm glad to have.
this was an epic piece of art and an honourable mention for doing the whole song as well as including small but recognisable details such as spiky cat fur in one scene and the really cool transition at 1:08 to 1:12

As the one who (rarely) animates themselves, it's fucking hard
The thing I love about this animation is that I’m not just seeing the character’s pain, but I can imagine the person behind it animating every frame as they feel, and the feeling bleeds into the art and it’s beautiful. Just know that you aren’t a freak, and you are loved.

This is so true, I feel like this is kinda directed towards me as well. Without my loved ones and my friends, I'd be nothing. I can truly feel sympathy for this character, and I can see why he feels this way. It truly is amazing, and I just wish I could help him out

Reminds me of how I dream of my childhood friend group that slowly drifted apart when primary school ended. I haven't really had a friendship like that again. They all feel fake and pointless. I've resorted to just dreaming and using that as a coping mechanism, replicating the way things used to be. I miss them so much..
I really understand this, being that in my public school I was the outcast for being cheerful and my ADHD sometimes would take control as well. I was different so people would bully, condemn, and make fun of me. I'm now in a new school that's much better tho.

"I won't wake up this time" is something that resonant with me and has been for a long time now, I thought that I was just a monster, a freak. I've learned from then... Yet my mind keeps going back there. Keep making this content man, we all have been somewhere like this before... And I hope you made it out, for I am still there
this is basically how i am feeling right now. you captured what depression is and what suicidal thoughts are, you perfected it. but 2 years for this is a little to much but since its on flipaclip and since you were probably depressed when you were making this, it makes sense on why it took so long, but you made it perfect.
its absolutely amazing, i am at a loss for words. this is the textbook definition of art. its a masterpiece. as someone who tried animating a few times and gave up because it was too hard, seeing something like this is even more impressive due to simply realizing how much effort something like this takes. seeing this genuinely makes my day, thank you for making this.

My guess at "the story behind" is that you felt like an outcast at some point. When you finally found friends who were like you and loved you for who you were, it turned out they weren't the nicest people. These events lead to a stuck position, and trust issues. You don't click with people who are unlike you, but you also don't click with people who are like you. So what is there to do? Where do you go from here? And how do you live your truth without experiencing that kind of pain again?

Hermoso, simplemente hermoso, las animaciones como estás son todo lo bueno de este mundo y me generan ternura.
This animation was amazing and I can actually relate to it. Growing up and to this day, I got and still get bullied, but when I was a kid, it was far more frequent. Daily, even. It got to where I don’t know what friends I can trust from back then anymore since I moved away from them after getting thrown to the ground and the school did nothing about it but blame me. I know what it’s like to be treated like a freak and to have friends either turn on you or be used against you(some bullies had told my friend-who was emotionally sensitive and I cared about her a lot-to tell me to shut up to my face). I’m just scared of losing the real friends I finally have after years of trying to find them. I may not have as many friends as I did as a kid, but at least now, I can trust them completely and be there for them like they are for me. So I hope others find those kinds of friends for them, too
