- I love the Clamshell Quilt but want to make it quick and easy. So let's make it and quilt it all at the same time. I used 2 packs of 5" precuts plus some bk and white
Please use a computer to print out the PDF for the stabilizer for the 5" fabric squares sewveryeasy.com/products/clam...

I found your channel about a month ago. You are such an excellent teacher! I love how you break everything down and explain it so I don't feel overwhelmed! Thank you!
I've never cared for clamshell quilts. That is, until I saw this one in black and white! Can't wait to try it.
I love the way you explain the process…so clear and distinct, and slow. Keep up the great work. We learn so much and we love your videos. 🎉
Thats a great idea . I bet it you even look good with 10 inch squares too.
I really enjoy how you explain things, you don't drag it out and it clear what to do. Really enjoy your videos
You are amazing lady I have watched you for the last 4 years I really enjoy watching you
What a great way to do a clamshell AND it's quilt as you go to boot! Thanks for the tutorial, Laura! I have to admit I didn't know where you were going with this one but as usual your directions were clear as a bell in the end. Just love it!

I like this method! I made a clamshell quilt once, and the curved piecing really gave me a headache, and I swore never again. This looks so much easier, and I love applique.
You are an amazing lady. I have always loved this pattern but have not made it. You make this so easy to do. I have really enjoyed watching this video. I can hardly wait to make it. Thank you ever so much.
Love this version of a clam quilt. I would add red clams randomly for a spot of color. Love your videos!
Yes, or green with some gold, like a dragon skin🐉
Superb! Definitely my next project! Thank u for all your ideas and videos. ❤️ it! Mariet Faasen, South Africa 🇿🇦
Very innovative 💡! I wouldn't have minded a 4" strip of black at the bottom either. Love clamshells Tyfs 💗🎃
Genius. I love the clamshell, but not all the work, that’s exactly why I have not made a clamshell quilt. Not I will ponder making one.
Yours turned beautiful. Color combination and layout was perfectly placed👍
This would make such a lovely baby quilt in pastel colors. I think my new granddaughter has a present in her near future!
Thanks so much for the tutorial, Laura!
I love clam shells. What a great way of doing it. Really liked it in the black and white tones.
This turned out so cute! Great job designing an easier way to pull off this quilt! 🌷
What are the measurements of the backing and batting. I know it depends on # of clamshells, however how do you calculate.
OMG…i have a black layer cake that I have been saving for ever but now i know what to do with it….thanks for this tutorial…Love you Laura!!!!
Amazing! What a great alternative. Will be fun to make for a baby quilt. Thank you for the Tutorial.
J'ai adoré votre méthode qui est très agréable à faire. Merci pour ce tutoriel.
Finally a super easy way to make these, THANK YOU!
Thank you for your way of teaching! Very easy to understand! I never thought I would try the clam shell quilt but You changed my mind😊. ❤
Talent and great teaching. I love how you dress so professionally and talk slow enough so we can understand like I said great teaching. Beautiful nails. Nice job
Beautiful beautiful indeed
Laura, I love your style. You are so beautiful. I wish I had your beauty and style. Please do more videos. I'm a trucker but 4 years ago i was a dog groomer, grandma and a content quilter. My now ex-husband forced me into trucking. Boy was he surprised when I showed up with a moving truck. I watch other people quilt while I'm the bunk to satisfy my quilting jones. Love from the road.
I love this! I think I’m going to follow this to attempt my first quilt ! ❤thank you for the step by step!!
Wow, absolutely a genius way to put clam shells together. I wish they had a love or wow sign instead of just a thumbs up. That video would get a heart and a wow sign in my view. Thanks once again for a great learning video.
Good evening Laura Ann, this is definitely a quilt for a more sophisticated room, but it could be a man's quilt no problem i think, but i'm only on my 2nd quilt so what would i know. I do think though that matching pillow shams would be lovely, tie backs in the clam design , with the backing material as curtains (i'm a nightmare for like thinks matching in) this would just finish off an elegant room. Thank you flower for another lovely quilt trip into sharing the ease in which we can do patterns that we wouldn't normally want to try. Crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland
👏🏻🤩BRAVO Laura!!🎉🎊
Well done!!! I love the new technique
that you came up with!!! Way to go!!!💛

Oohhh I have three packs of five inch charms and this is the pattern for them!!❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻Thank you !!!
This really makes me want to make this pattern. It has always been a favorite but intimidating. You took the scary parts out. Thank you.
Love, love, love this quilt and the technique! Genius
Enjoyed this quick variation on the construction of a clamshell quilt! Very ingenious!
Great quilt, thanks Laura, your tutorials are always "sew very easy" you are a treasure!
Very pretty . I am watching you from sri 🇱🇰 .
Such a easir looking style of piecing this.
Laura you are sew cleaver! To work this all out to such a degree that the finished quilt looks impossible to do, and to be quilted as you go.
I love how approachable this makes sewing clamshells.
I would never have tried clamshell until this tutorial. Good job!
Holy crap Laura! This is incredible. I too have wanted to make a clam shell quilt but haven’t for the same reasons as you stated. But this method you created is a game changer. Thank you so much for figuring out a way to make this doable.
Amazing tutorial. Your step by step without zooming thru, makes this quilt seem easy to make. I’m sure even new quilters can follow this tutorial. Thank you so much 🇬🇧🥰
I love this. I’ve watched this several times. The fabric is lovely. Thanks
Such a great tutorial! The black and white combo is really pretty! Thanks for sharing!

You rock! Thank you for this awesome tutorial. You always give me confidence to do the hard stuff, yet you make it so easy.
Such a clever idea for the clam shell!! I love the look too but not crazy about sewing all those curved seams. Thank you for sharing this, Laura!

What a lovely quilt! Thanks for sharing
Excellent idea.
Love the quick pattern. I can’t wait to try it. I have loads of scrap 5 inch squares. Thanks for the wonderful idea. I just finished making 4 of your table runners! Love that easy pattern too!
I would have never guessed you could quilt as you go with a clamshell. I love this video,
Fabulous idea! I will certainly be using this pattern. Thank you Laura! 💐
I've never done any quilting before, but always liked the idea of picking it up as a hobby (something to replace my timesink that is playing video games). I've lost a bunch of weight in the last couple years, and I've got a bunch of old, over-sized t-shirts that I figure I could put to use. This pattern seems really appropriate for smaller pieces of scrap fabric. I look forward to givin' it a try in the near future.
I love it. But then I love everything you do! Thank you for sharing your talent & wonderful!❤
Thank you for this easier way of doing clam shapes quilt. Love it will definitely make one.
Oh that’s looks like it was a lot of work thank you for showing me the easy way to make such a lovely quilt 💜
Very pretty
That's brilliant. I love the clamshell and the quilt is all done in one go brilliant. Thank you for sharing that process 😊 💐
Супер! Спасибо! Очень удобно и технологично!!!
Lovely pattern! Beautiful done! I love the black and white prints!!!
Me too, connie!🙋♀️
What a cool idea! Thankyou for simplifying this design! I look forward to trying it my self!
Oh, i do love clamshells. I thought my way of doing those was easy, and it was, but yours looks easier. Can't wait to try.😃
Thanks, Laura. ❤
Love this quilt. It will be my next one. Your tutorial was excellent and thorough. Thank you for the tenacity in teaching. ❤
Omg!!! Thank you for making it this easy!! You are the best!!❤️
I loved this episode and I needed an idea to use my beach fabric. This will be perfect and always remind me of the beach where I was raised!!! Thank you so much. I love your show.
Wow love this method. Another quilt added to my growing list. Thank you.
Love this method! Love the quilt too!
Thank you. I love this technique. Great looking quilt 💗
Beautiful! I always enjoy your videos and always learn so much. Thank you so much for the videos !
Great idea! I have been using the stabilizer method on my applique quilts for a while now and it works well. I sew all the way around then cut a small x in the back of the stabilizer and turn the piece right side out through that opening. Can't wait to try this with a couple of charm packs I purchased during my summer travels. Thank you.
Love this technique Laura! Thank you for sharing!!
Unbelievable! You made it do easy!
Wow! I now wouldn’t mind doing a clam shell quilt. Thanks.
Wow! I love this quilting technique! Very smart. Thank you for the awesome tutorial!

I am making this clamshell quilt in blue fabrics it will be the center section of a larger quilt I did all the placing and ironing in place on the batting yesterday. I love it so far. Thanks so much for the easy and complete instructions. You are always so thorough!
Amazing work. Will try it soon.
