This video has been made purely out of love for the Eurovision Song Contest, without any commercial purposes. (It has been monetised by the original rights owners.)
Music & Lyrics written by: Alexander Rybak
Original: • Alexander Rybak - Fair...
Here's another viewer request that's been overdue way too long! I had already started recording this song last year, prior to it being requested, actually - but then, Spirit in the Sky came along, and made sure it would take a while until I'd do another song from Norway.
But of course, the delay was mostly about me trying to get that fiddle riff right... or at least acceptable... ^^ Those double-stops still got a little screechy here and there.
Also, funnily enough, the content-ID system matched this song with a Finnish cover version from "The Smurfs"? But both versions are owned by Sony, since they took over EMI, where Fairytale was originally published first.
Alexander Rybak has actually covered quite a few Eurovision songs himself, as well as having played together with Norwegian Black Metal band Keep of Kalessin:
"Amar pelos dois", English version: • Alexander Rybak - ESC ...
"The Divine Land": • Keep of Kalessin & Ale... - Hudba
Stay tuned for more songs with me messing around on the fiddle...! ;)
Getting better and better! Good work
Perfect! I wish you continued your success in your career!!
Thank you very much! ;)

КЛАСС!!!
Спасибо! 😉
I love what the animatiac did after the the show ended
Yeah, that happens on all my videos... 😅
why so little likes ?
I‘d love to know why 😁, but I‘m already happy to see that this is one of my more popular covers! 😉
Goofy goes hard
Whatever that is supposed to mean… 😂
Is Ringo singing this?
Well, I do both sing and play the drums on each of my covers ^^ (as well as all the other instruments, for that matter). So maybe that kind of counts?
The vocalist sounds like Goofy from Mickey Mouse
You’re the second person here to say that 😂. Goofy is indeed a reference my vocal coach likes to employ for certain exercises - to make the tone darker / rounder. I however usually have the opposite natural tendency, i.e., making the sound too bright / nasal. So if it sounds more like Goofy here, I guess that’s a positive… 😁
