Your the first photographer to take time to show and explain how panos are done, great tutorial thanx Gary!!
Great! Straight to the point. No useless talking.
Excellent! Why? Because no one explains and gives it as clear and professional as you do Gary, a proper teacher! Anyone starting out and wanting to make a pano this is a must watch.
Mali Davies Photography - Very kind of you to say Mali, cheers 👍🏻
Oh hi Mali, nice to see you here~
Noealz - Rain Photographer 😊👍 hello there Seoul mate 😂
Hi guys am I aloud to point a couple things out from the start setting up the camera. Newbies may need to know
Thanks for this Gary..had to chuckle at the English proclivity to call the ground outside 'the floor' though.
Gary S - lol I noticed that in the edit 😁😁
Awesome video!!! You are the 1st person who has explain this so clearly! Thank you!!!
That's about the best pano tutorial I have watched, there's always a nugget or two from you Gary, great work!
I have seen many photography tutorials but you are awesome. Very simple, point to point. Just perfect. Love it. Thanks a lot!
Good stuff Garry. Every time I watch one of your vids I pick up a useful tip on something I thought I already knew everything about.
wildfisher Every day is a school day for us all 👍🏻👍🏻
As someone fairly new to this type of photography, this was one excellent vlog ,I have looked for a simple basic clear explanation and you came up with what I needed, very well done ,many more like this please.
Great Video Gary, one thing I always do when setting the exposure is run through the sweep with the histogram to make sure nothing clips at any point through the sweep.
Chris Cockroft Yep, great idea 👍🏻
@@GaryGough or just expose for the brightest part of the image
@@MikePageKaltenberg that's what I do too. with the DR on most cameras now, you can pull up shadow/underexposed enough for the variation from one side to the other to not be shocking...
This is, by far, THE BEST tutorial about Panoramic photography! Thank you!
Dominik Deręgowski very kind, thank you
A sound and uncomplicated teaching tutorial, well done Gary.
Gary watching this from your back catalogue during these difficult self isolation stay at home times this one is great can’t wait for when it’s all over to try this out!
Of all the tutorial videos out there teaching landscape images, I gravitate back to your channel because of your well laid out format and easy to follow along and understand. Well done!! Oh, and thank you for you're time.
Consider yourself added to my Christmas card list. Cheers for saying 👍👍
Absolutely wonderful tutorial Gary. It's really great how you take us from In-Camera to Adobe with every step on the way. Thanks a million..!
You're welcome, thank you
Another well presented video, anyone following this tutorial guide are sure to produce great panoramas.
It is as clear as it can be at explaining how a panorama is done. I thought about the waves and you mentioned it clearly afterwards what to do in order to avoid it. Thanks Gary an excellent tutorial for any panorama shooting. Cheers.
Gino Rigucci - Thank you 👍🏻
Wow this is the best tutorial I have ever seen on this technique. Thank you Gary. I will watch more of your videos.
Sonia D , thank you
Thanks Gary the best pano tutorial ive seen.
Thanks Gary, will be trying this out in the Lakes this weekend, your such a clear and to the point teacher, top job.
Thank you Gary a very good explanation of how to get the best panorama image
Excellent content and images, Gary. Thanks for putting this out for us,
Great explanation Gary. Another bonus is that you dont need a wide lens if you master this technique, plus you retain so much more information.
Jeff Files so true Jeff 👍🏻
I have never done a pano and to be honest I dont do much landscape photography, but the way you have explained things in terms that everyone can understand was very good and very enjoyable, I just maybe tempted now to do a pano, thank you so much for the tuition and your time, well done.......
Des Gardner - Cheers 👍🏻
One of the best explained videos on youtube. Thank you Gary!
Very kind of you to say, thank you
Thanks Gary, clear and concise, very helpful information. I'm not sure I would have thought of the vertical orientation advantages on my first excursion out, probably only after coming home and thinking "Boy I wish there was more info top and bottom!" Cheers!
Gary, great and simple instruction on shooting pano's wouldn't expect anything less. This has to be the best and most straightforward explanation on how to get a good pano shot that I have seen .. Nice photo's one of the boat house makes the shot I took 2 years ago look rubbish
Im a professional Photographer and love the simplicity of your videos. You can never learn enough in this business
Cheers Jamie 👍
Well-taught, Sensei!
Thank-You,
Mike

Ivo Castro Jr Thank you 👍🏻
That was great Gary - very methodical and really interesting. I've not often done panoramas, I don't know why as you've explained it really clearly there so I'll be giving it a go.
Cheers Gary
Probably the most informative panorama tutorial I've seen. Simple instructions that even this amateur can understand 👍
Billy Coupar very kind thank you
Thks Gary - Great Video - very clear & concise..
Great video Gary. This is going to be helpful when I go out in October to shoot fall landscapes.Great timing
Susan Firth thank you Susan 👍🏻
Great again Gary.
You are top of the bunch Without a doubt. Best wishes
Denis Grehan thank you Denis 👍🏻
Thanks Gary that was very straight forward and easy to follow. The importance of having a level tripod is crucial and I will have to see what I can add to my kit to enable that.
Thanks, Gary, for yet another fantastic tutorial.
Nodal slider & base levelling heads seem to be helpful too Gary.
When editing, as you shown..i also use 'guides' to place onto horizon fir final levelling on-screen.
Excellent Video
Thanks Gary. Another good video.
Was unsure that I could do this with long exposure but will try.
Brilliant Gary, thanks for that demonstration
Jim Cooke cheers Jim 👍🏻
This is great. A video made by someone professional who knows all the basics of photography, reminding me of the (late) great Geoffrey Sheard, my photography tutor from my Art College days. An excellent video. Thank you so much!
Another great video. Thank you very much.
Nice tip of the hat to Adam :)
Thank you for the great tutorial. I learned that my first attempt was done totally wrong hence not being able to get my images to merge correctly. Mr. Gough you're a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate that you share your professional tips with us amatures so we can better photography skills.
You are so welcome!
Great job and thanks for sharing so much information in so little time. Inspiration to all of the photography community.
Rafick Naseeven very kind, thank you
Thank you for a great clear tutorial can't wait to try your method.
Stephen McLean cheers
Fantastic demonstration Gary. Specially the prep work is very useful and critical.👍
Great video and what a teacher. Thank you for the clarity in which you explain things.
Thank you for sharing Gary, always work the way you say..
Fantastic video Gary, came across you via your Murray Wilkie interview, and as a newb photographer this is gold dust...... well explained, detailed enough not to over complicate things and lose me half way through. Wonderfully thought out and presented just what the dr ordered. Feeling inspired between you and Murray. CZcams can bring education, recreation and information in an understandable format....
Absolutely excellent video. I'm going to go try this now. Thanks so much.
Explained perfectly and some great tips. Thank you for sharing Gary 😊
Colin Stalker cheers Colin
Explained brilliantly! Thankyou
I echo those who say "Excellent" It was thorough, interesting and educational. Luckily, I knew most of this but that just helped me to realize how good it was. If you are doing more such vids, there will soon be one of which I am ignorant, yet I shall have confidence because I know how good this one was. Much appreciated Mr G and do please do more; thank you.
Very detailed and informative!
Thank you!
The Best video, on how to take a pano I’ve ever seen, instant sub
Thanks for the sub!
Love this. Thank you for posting. At some stage, 'Part B' being the process flow from the end of this video through to the end of a final print would be great - far too few photographers have their work printed anymore in my opinion
Northryder - a picture isn’t a picture until it’s printed 😁
Superb, clear and simple to follow explanation of how to take & post-process a pano. Best I've seen. Well done Gary 👏👏
Cheers Steve
Thanks for a great video !

Very nice. Good luck with it
Thanks Gary for the clear and concise explanation on how to take a pano. Wish I had watched this before trying to take one recently. Must get out and put into practice. Also glad i'm planning to head out to a few of the locations you showed examples of in the vlog
Cheers Mark

I love your video. Thank you so much.
Perfect tutorial Gary, i now know where i go wrong, i use landscape, and hand held, so i have a big crop on occasion, thanks very much
Glad to help Cheers Paul 👍👍

Cheers Ali 👍 Hope you can join me today @ 18:00 (UK) for a live show on my YT channel? Cheers
Great video Gary, I've learnt loads from it! Simple and easy instructions to follow that will help us all. Can we have more of these type of videos please!
Chris Smith Thank you Chris. Loads more on the way 👍🏻
Once again I have learnt a lot from your Vlog! Thanks again!
...and once again, thank you for your continued support xx
Great tutorial!!!
Great job Gary. Another reason to shoot in portrait is to maximize your pixels. If your image size is 4000 x 6000 in landscape why not go "vertical" and get as many pixels as possible.
(Another) Excellent tutorial Gary especially as I'm an ACR and Photoshop user rather than Lightroom. Smiled when I saw the red battery warning :) .
Chris Hewitt lol cheers Chris.
I'm gonna try this. Thanks for this tutorial
Great tutorial, thank you.
Another really well presented tutorial. Thanks.
What a brilliant video for beginners. Well done !
stevenlennie thank you
Your guide was very helpful thank you very much.
Fantastic tutorial Gary, thank you 🙏
Great video tutorial Gary, really slick, professionally presented with lots of useful hints and tips. I really enjoyed it and will try to remember everything I've learned next time out. Del
Derek Willson Cheers Del 👍🏻👍🏻
