100% Homemade Sandblaster From Coke Bottle

- In this video on how to make a do-it-yourself sandblasting machine, we made a sandblasting machine using a coke bottle and a simple air gun. We made a simple and effective box out of wood so that the sand does not escape. We produced the compressed air using an old refrigerator compressor and a propane tank.

Great idea..! Thanks for sharing, BUT… I feel duty bound to make a comment on the blast media. I know everyone calls it ‘sand blasting’ but natural sand has been outlawed as an industrial blast media in most countries for over 60 years and in the UK since 1948. The problem is that even very small amounts of inhaled fractured sand (sand dust) will lodge in the lungs and cause silicosis - there is no medical fix and it only has one outcome..!!! Other blast media can be used; aluminium oxide, glass bolls (yes bolls), baking soda and many others. If you really want to use sand, then protect yourself and others well - wear a heavy duty mask, do it outside and stand up-wind. All the best..!

@@HashimiX Hi, you are of course allowed to use any blast media you like at home including sand - if that is your wish… My information comes from the UK HSE (United Kingdom Health and Safety Executive) and is listed under ‘COSHH* Essentials CN7: Abrasive Blasting (*Care of Substances Hazardous to Health) - Although the regulations pertain to industry in particular they are nonetheless useful in guiding general behaviour. The purpose of my post was to make people aware that although all blast media dust is hazardous - sand dust is particularly pernicious in that if breathed in, it stays in the lungs and cannot be coughed up - it causes silicosis (a painful an nasty chronic condition) which will eventually kill you. I am a 64-year old professional mechanical design engineer with more than 30-years in manufacturing and industrial processing. The information presented in my original post was given in good faith. Gran vídeo, pero lo más extraordinario me parece más buen es la improvisación del compresor. Eso sí me impresionó mas que la pistola, aunque también tiene mucho mérito. Felicitaciones. Feliz año.

Идея хорошая, но требует доработки. Когда-то делал подобное, но кто будет делать, говорю сразу, что компрессор с производительностью 350 л/мин не вытягивает. Хотя у меня и качает до 11 кгс/см2. Всё из-за большого сопла.
А с чего этот фитинг куда он вкручивает бутылку и диаметр какой?
И какая доработка нужна,в чем она заключается?

Всё круто, но название конечно огонь, ИЗ БУТЫЛКИ, а все остальное валяется на дороге, идёшь , пинаешь, выбираешь, а вот бутылку достать, это конечно.....🤔🤗😋😁😀

Сопло диаметром в километр. И под абразив отверстие огромное. А самое главное для этого аппарата нужен охренеть мощный компрессор, с охрененным запасом сжатого воздуха. Сам пескоструем на основе такого же пистолета пользуюсь.
На долго ли сопла хватит¿

It is also good idea to make a hole that fits a vacum machine hose and with that way you can collect the sand and reuse it. 😉

Great idea. Using the proper blast media helps produce better results. It’s not run of the mill sand.
На али экспресс уже есть готовые пистолеты. И цена низкая. Останется только ящик собрать. Минимум времени)

... пустую бутылку из под колы нашел на улице, к ней прикупил компрессор, трубки, фитинги, соорудил бокс с пескосборником ну и всякое по мелочам. и тыдынь! пескоструйный аппарат из бутылки колы
И кто бы в феврале мог подумать что в июне ОСБ уже будет не доступно по цене многим самодельщикам !

The problem in this case is the blast pipe - it has to be a hard material to withstand wear over a longer period, like tungsten carbide or some ceramic. Soft metal will last half an hour until it's gone.
Cheap sand blasting devices sometimes use soft metal, they are crap.

@@tobi1321 Guess why I know that - I had a cheap one with such a cheap soft steel blast pipe ;-)
Tungsten carbide is better, but it also don't last forever, sand is a nasty stuff eroding it inside
true. even tungsten and ceramic erodes after few hours. this aluminium pipe will die in half an hour
does not take 30 minutes... easy solution is replace the pipe after it wears out. problem solved. hardened steel will last a long time

Better idea. Use one of those funnels that has skrew caps on both ends. It would make for easier refill of the sand

How long does it take for the refrigerator compressor to charge the propane gas bottle as a pressure accumulator to such an extent that the sandblaster can be used again?

В чём гениальность? Дурь полнейшая,через пол часа трубку пистолета "сожрёт"абразивом. Готовый пескоструй с керамической насадкой сейчас стоит от 1000 рублей.

я тоже прошел свой путь в пескоструйке, пару лет назад купил пистолет русский мастер с рециркуляцией абразива, вот это тема цена 900 рублей, +в комплекте шаблоны из резины и разные наконечники

6 bars is fine. It is more about how many liters per minute that the compressor produces

Really good . Should last for a good 10 to 15 minutes if you are lucky. Depending on the pressure used

A idéia foi boa, porém da pra melhorar mais, eu particularmente colocaria um compressor mais potente "quanto mais ar, mais o jateamento ficar melhor".
вчера заказал, сегодня уже пришёл пескоструйный пистолет за 1000 рублей. кстати он с мешочком для песка, т. е работает практически без расхода песка и пыли минимум.

Пожалуй стекло нужно нормальное, пластик будет весь поцарапан в скором времени. 👍

J'ai essayé et Ça fonctionne très bien, sauf qu'après un certain temps d'utilisation la bouteille fend. Je recommande une bouteille en aluminium pour transporter de l'eau qu'on peu acheter à bas prix

Комуто нравится , но идея старая , я более 20 лет проработал на очистке и окраске металлоконструкций. Это дорогое удовольствие но парой не обходима. Идея старенькая мы использовали кварцевый песое для наносения рисунка через трафорет на стеело. Мгого ошибок и разочерований. Но я доволен люди ищут свои пути. Дерзайте. Но велосипед уже изобретен. Удачи
