Joe was right about the sits!! My best friend and I sat front row of the upper level. And they were the most PERFECT SEATS!!!! We saw everything!!
This concert was one of the best and most favorite, from some of the concerts I've ever been to! Except for Classic Journey!

MTV devoted an entire Sunday to Def Leppard in Oct. of 1988, right when the Hysteria tour was ending; I was 16 at the time, and one memory that stands out that I wish I could delete is how absolutely horrible they sounded live in these clips from the Omni in Atlanta. Joe's voice after 16 months on the road was in tatters, and the backing vocals, substandard to begin with...were the worst I've ever heard. Today, I"m still a fan, and I will say this: Joe Elliott is a better singer, both by quitting smoking nearly 15 years ago, and learning how to use his chest voice more instead of just a screeching throat voice; As much as I miss Steve Clark's wonderful guitar playing and writing, he couldn't sing a note, and he would purposely avoid the microphone set up for him. Vivian Campbell, a brilliant guitar player in his own right can really sing, both in Leppard, with Dio and his own band. Savage got better, as did Phil...and so did technology. I've heard them in soundcheck when they were in Vegas in March of 2013, and the four of them harmonized quite well, but on songs like Excitable and Don't shoot shotgun, they, as do virtually every live band today, get some " on the fly " assistance. But Def Leppard are a real example of a band that is much, much better live today than when this video was shot.

John Flanagan don’t forget that what you hear in these clips is the raw soundboard feed of the band, this is what is coming directly through to the mixing desk before any guitar effects or echo etc are added. So this is not what the band sounded like to the audience once it goes through the front of house system. Have a listen to the Mountainview 88 show on here, that’s another raw soundboard feed.

1.18secs........you can spin him around at 100mph and watch him shoot off??........so he can lose his other arm!,

His kit is different. It's more like the adrenalise tour kit.
