Thanks for joining for something a little different for this one, folks! Hope you enjoyed the scenery and the slightly mellower vibe. I know it came at the expense of VO quality (recorded it on-site in California) as well as some of my usual detail, but honestly? A month after release, I feel like that's okay. 😄 Stay Mobile!

I'm glad you mentioned the modem issue, first reviewer to point it out. Myself and many others on Reddit are having serious issues with our Pixel 6's not holding a LTE connection and constantly dropping to 3G, or no signal at all! I'm hoping an update will sort it but I've my doubts.

Love that you are honest about the Pixel. I also find it a bit of letdown - I can tell you it gets overly hot when playing PUBG :-( I actually don't think it's a good phone, cause I don't like the UI-skin/pure Android either. And the camera is disapointing too.

After software update haven't experienced any bugs and the battery life gets better every day. Best adaptive battery I've ever seen on a phone and the speech to text is an absolute game changer. • @MrModikoe
      @MrModikoe Před 2 lety

well iPhone doesn't quite have competition that's why so many of it's flaws are overlooked. Now in the Android community, the Pixel cannot afford to have such flaws(some are just silly in my opinion), cause it's gonna get eaten alive. So it's not about trying to hide away from it's flaws but about whether Googles listens and fix all of them in the next generation..

We talking about phones not just the OS of the phone.
iPhones have many phones that can compete with it, and they are making some solid phones but they lack many things and these tech reviewers don't make it seem like a big deal but when it comes to the Android counterpart the latter make it seem like it's the end of the world.

I went on a trip over the weekend and absolutely loved the camera. Granted, I didn't shoot any video, and was a bit disappointed by the noise introduced when pushing the 4x camera to 20x at night. And to be fair, the adaptive battery charger is turned on by default, which limits how fast the battery charges to help prolong the life of the battery. I got a full day's charge even with more than typical use on the trip (and the bouncing between 5G and LTE), so slow charging the battery over night with the peace of mind that the battery is going to receive less wear and tear is fine in my book. And if you would rather have your battery charge faster, I would assume turning off the adaptive charging in the battery settings would speed that up.

I like my new Pixel Pro - as a heavy-duty photographer, it's doing well, despite its underwhelming zoom. Still, the pros outweigh the cons, and it's doing more that my trusty old Canon could in some things, which impressed. But be warned - my pixel pro has flung itself to the floor a few times, to my surprise. It's uncased, and I've noticed that the tiniest of vibrations - typing on a keyboard, walking about the office - will send it stealthily, slowwwwwly but surely creeping across a desk surface until, lemming-like, it hurls itself over the edge of the desk, despite being placed down a good 6 inches away from the edge. That's happened 3 or 4 times now, without damage, thankfully, but just by luck. Beware of that literal feature creep...

Just got my 6 Pro on Monday and I've barely been able to really push the cameras but from what I've shot and experimented with on Filmic Pro and ProShot I'm happy to know that Google has lended support for all three lenses in third party apps. We get 4k24-60fps on all lenses using Filmic Pro as well! The charging speed is definitely sloooooow and the battery life has had enough time to adapt to my usage but without any major camera updates I have very high hopes for this gorgeous device. 5g is a letdown though. To this date the OnePlus 7 Pro has been the only phone I've had that can play 2160@60fps without buffering except for the initial switch. Loving the 6 Pro though. On 7:32 those are Harris Hawks. They actually hunt in groups in the wild, which is very unusual for birds of prey.

I'm in love with your style... It's refreshing to watch your videos that are crisp, to the point , polite , nonbiased with a great deal of Zeal, with so much of negativity around Pixel devices, it was like a breadth of fresh air to watch ur review. Thank you for pointing out the relevant. Hope google does a better job with its next device and perfects the game.

The 6 pro is basically a great phone with bad battery quality, bad fingerprint, an easy to break screen and slow charging. I would like if it pixel worked with Asus or Sony instead of Samsung, those companies have a solid understanding of basic Android with the hardware an pixel as always has the best software. I'll see how the updates go, but pixel has so many more options that they should start looking at.

Nice review! Looks like you had great time. As far as the Pro, looks to be too big for my tastes. If i were to actually hold one in my hands I *might* change my mind. But I'm sticking with my Pixel 5 because I just GOT it in May.

Probably Mr Fisher is the only techtuber that I've come to known who makes watching the in-vid sponsor vid segments so enjoyable
And do I need say this vid is probably the one of the best 10 mins of my life? One of his best, simply.

Loving the Pixel so far, but I can't just make it my daily driver yet, that belongs to the iPhone 13 Pro Max for it's amazing battery life. But this is sooo close, bravo Google. Its almost perfect. They nailed it with the design and Android 12 is so good.

I like the design of the back, it really looks like a cyclops android ala Bender. Although my love is rather, despite not have so many advancements, with the Samsung Flip, currently I have a S20 FE.

Man I hope one day I get the ability to edit and film as often as you do, but with a full time job it's difficult to produce videos in a timely manner.
I look up to you so much as far as your video style goes, you as well as Jaime and Jon Rittenger inspired me to launch my own review channel.
I hope one day to do a collaboration video with any one of the three of you, thanks for all the great videos and for the inspiration Mr.Fisher ❤️

my current setup is a regular iPhone 11 and a 2020 MacBook Air. I'm super happy with the setup.. I can do almost everything at a professional level for under $2k.. not to shabby. the Pixel 6 is a dope phone but I'll pass on a gen 1 SoC.

I wouldn't call $900 a value. Both the S21 Ultra and iPhone 13 Pro Max may have a higher MSRP, but they can be had for cheaper if you find the right deal. Otherwise, both those phones are better in just about every way.

I like the road trip impressions with the others of the "tec reviewers family" more than the device itself. Looked like yummy foods and a calm your group 😇
Sadge: The needed downgrade to HD is sad. Mediathek, that is not par to some other flagships in the android space nor to the iPhones. I hope they deliver in the next gen 4k 60

Great and Informative video. I have a Samsung Fold 3 as my primary phone and was debating between this phone or the Surface Duo 2 as my back-up phone(for different reasons) and ulitmately went with this for the camera, big screen, 120hz refresh rate screen, wireless charging and good speakers. Also I couldn't find a Surface Duo 2 256GB at the price I thought was fair or if if it was, in a good condition (I may still get this or the Duo 1 in the future as I love the idea of 2 screens). Anyways I am waiting for it to be delivered to be and look forward to using it(also my first time using a Pixel). 📱📱❤️❤️❤️❤️

Great review, Entertainment as usual, but isn't there a misstage in the statement you took for the camera settings? You said features are only available in HD but the switching point in availability is 4k 30fps/60fps. You can use features like 4x Zoom @4k but only 30fps. Please leave a feedback.
