So much anxiety especially at night! Muscle and back pain.. these past couple years have been a trip. I’ve started an herbal cleans along with D3 5000 ui & outdoor workouts in the sun.. Vitamin D testing should be standard procedure that western doctors should be checking on. It would save a lot of people from having to deal with problems associated with them. My naturopathic doctor advised me to get tested and turned out I was Vit D deficient. Taking shots every 3 weeks to get the levels up to normal levels but also taking 5000IU d3 drops daily! I would recommend you guys to take liquid form as it’s easily absorbable and bypasses the digestive processes. Good luck to all!

    The Scandinavian countries started taking this seriously about ten years ago as the long dark winters meant that their populations had low levels. They now regularly fortify foods. It's interesting to see that they have done the best of all the European countries in the covid pandemic.

      @ingunnhelen9931 Před 8 měsíci +2

      Seriously? I wonder what Scandinavian country you are referring to? Cause this is not true for Norway. Not by a long shot. Our normal range is below what they see as deficient in Usa. And I have been battling with my health for 20 years, not one doctor has mentioned anything about vitamin d. Ever. They don't even test for it without you asking. And it turns out my values was at 11,2 ng/ml. The daily recommendation in my country is way too low! Just get some cod liver oil (10 mcg), and you are good. I had to become my own doctor in order to figure this out. Now I'm making sure my friends and family get themselves tested as well.

    I’ve been feeling so weak, tired and sleepy for months but thought it was normal. I had no energy and I did not want to do anything but stay in bed. I would feel so sad and confused and would hide that feeling by always sleeping since I would feel so tired. I thought it was normal since I would work a lot. I would sleep 10+ hours but I would still be really tired. Then I went to get my blood tested and was told I had vitamin D deficiency. The doctor prescribed me Vitamin D and now I feel so much better. I have so much energy. I don’t feel sad or tired and I am so glad I got my blood tested.

    Get high dose vitamin D from a NATURAL NOT SYNTHETIC (mad made) source. Vit D prescribed from your doctor is synthetic (D2). This will work at first but may lead to migraines and other problems. The brand Nordic Naturals is good and has natural non synthetic supplements for Vit D. Also, a tablet won’t work well, the gel capsules are best absorbed.

    A couple years ago, i tested at 12 for vitamin d. NP discussed protocol of prescription vd2 once a week until vit d level 25 then take one once a month. I felt like a new person around week 3 of taking the D. Once my level hit 25, Dr. Took over and refused to prescribe any more vit D. My bloodwork showed normal calcium level but when i looked at her diagnosis after phone consultation she diagnosed me with hypercalcemia. Now I'm back to constant bone pain and all of the symptoms mentioned here plus my BMI is 31. Some days i cant walk without a cane. The over the counter vitamin d supplements don't seem to help. I just wonder how much better my quality of life would be if The Doc had stayed out of it and let the Nurse Practitioner keep treating me. 😐

    I had blood work done Friday. It came back and my levels were at 16.4, which is pretty low. I've been having what's called "brain zaps". It's like an electric shock-like sensation in the brain (completely benign but bothersome). I thought I was having a stroke or seizure but it's due to anxiety and stress as well as stopping anti-depressants. I don't take anti-depressants so the only other cause is anxiety and stress. So I started taking the vitamin D my doctor gave me and I take my next dose this coming Monday morning. I also need B vitamins because my RBC and WBC levels are low which is concerning. So we'll see how I feel in a few weeks.

      @@medilabhealth1265 Well, since I posted this, I was able to call my doctors office and describe my symptoms and they're were able to get me in to see my doctor almost immediately the next day and I had to discuss with her some things that were happening at home. She did mention that it could be due to chronic stress, likely because I wasn't sleeping and eating right and also having to listen to my roommates argue almost everyday for whatever reasons. My doctor eventually got me set up with a therapist and a nutritionist because I wanted to try therapy and because of my eating habits. And ever since that visit with my doctor, I have only had a few zaps but it wasn't nearly as frequent as it was when it started about a month prior to posting my original comment and then they just stopped. I've been sleeping better but I'm still working on it. My eating hasn't really changed due to my living situation and social anxiety about my roommates. I enjoy the peace of my room but it's uncomfortable living with them. They're unpredictable so it makes me that much more uncomfortable. I'm at the point where I bought myself a double burner cooktop to make my food in my room to avoid any type of contact with my roommates but recently I've applied for a new job that pays better than my current one. I'm just hoping that it all works out in my favor and I can find my own place and live in peace. 😌

      1. Do exercises early morning. If you have pains and aches, get advice from a instructor or physiotherapist about the exercises you can practise. Morning exercises can help for the better functioning of of many organ systems of the body.
      2. Drink fresh milk daily. Fresh milk is a good source of calcium and other micro elements which can also give a fresh start to your day.

      Take vitamin d suppelements with vitamin K,zink and magnesium. That will help fast absorption. Meet a doctor to decide dosage.

    I was today at the psychiatrist and i told him that i have the same symptoms and if it related to my vitamin D deficiency( i have 16 vitamin D deficiency) , unfortunately he said no thats nonsense, vitamin d deficiency has nothing to do with that.
    At this point i was devastated because i wished it does relate to it.
    He did prescribe me calming pills( a non unti-depression) and meant, i should try to get what is missing in my life slowly.
    my first general doctor told me the same like my psychiatrist :/
    I am Sorry to share this with you, i know many will not be happy to hear this like me but i still hope that vitamin d supplements will get me strong like before without having fear, anxiety, palpitations and sleep problems.

      Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to an increased risk of heart palpitations in some individuals. Studies suggest that low levels of vitamin D may contribute to imbalances in the autonomic nervous system, leading to palpitations. Addressing vitamin D deficiency through supplementation or increased sun exposure, along with appropriate medical evaluation, may help alleviate heart palpitations in some cases. However, heart palpitations can have various causes, so it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional for a comprehensive evaluation and appropriate management.
