These three Do compliment each other completely.
Conan is the straight arrow. Gourley is the one that sometimes challenges the straight arrow. And Sona just doesn't care. Sona is Sona.

When i first started to listen to this podcast and being ignorant i didn't think Sona was needed. It wasn't until i heard an episode where she was away and it wasn't the same. I f-ing love her relationship with Conan and how much she laughs.

I remember Gourley talking about being a little bit of a third wheel to Conan and Sona's dynamic when they first started the podcast. Awesome that he can finally be not just the tweed jacket-wearing man over the past couple years!
People don't realise how hilarious Matt Gourley is, and has been for decades. In my opinion, he's the funniest person in podcasting not named Paul F. Tompkins.
I took a break from the pod last year, and coming back made me notice how insane Gourley's comedy chops have grown, anything Conan says now he's ready to bounce right off of on the spot
I only found Conan's podcast recently. Is Gourley a producer who ended up on air or was he brought in in another capacity?
@@donjones4719 Conan's talked in the past about Matt having had a lot of podcasting experience prior to this show, and I think that's why he was brought in.
Not sure if the original intention was for him to be an off-air producer or on-air, though.
Matt would definitely be in the podcasting Hall of Fame. He’s been doing improv and comedy podcasting for over 20 years. Look up some his stuff with Superego to get an idea of his quick wit.
They're both talking like they just woke up from a nap it's so relaxing

I've always loved how Sona and Conan feed off each other... He makes her laugh, he keeps going, she laughs even more. 😆 It's really great.
And Matt really is funny as hell. He may be quieter, but his timing is impeccable and he knows when to jump in there. He gets good back and forth with Conan a lot, which also gets Sona going. 😆
These three have great chemistry and we're lucky to have them. ✌️💙

Never would've expected Norah Jones to appear on the podcast. I used to go to the same cafe for over a decade and all that cafe ever played was Norah Jones songs. Now she's become a mainstay on my playlist anytime I just wanna chill with a cup of tea

What a lovely episode, been listening to this on repeat. the great Norah Jones seems so normal, great surprise.
It got a little lost but towards the end of the conversation Matt chimed in that Norah is an honorary Chill Chum and I for one completely endorse this. She's delightful. I only ever really knew her as the CDs you get at Starbucks but then she was hilarious in Ted and now here she has, having completely stolen my heart. She's fantastic.

@@thisisit2082 They did. And it's delightful. I've watched it many times. But I need more. Brooks is still a firecracker, but he's very old, and he may not be around for very long. It would be great to have one more hour with Conan. Plus they really love each other.
Oh, and Brooks ha a new project coming out, the "History of the World, Part II" TV series. So now would be the perfect moment for his appearance on the podcast (if it hasn't been recorded yet).

I've never really consciously put this together before, but I'm realizing that Late Night type segments are great to get you INTERESTED in someone you wouldn't expect, but podcasts let you KNOW a bunch about someone who interests you!

Matt's timing is top notch. 👌 Just absolutely top notch. And Sona and Conan's chemistry never fails to make me laugh. It's so uncoachably perfect. And Nora is just a multi faceted gem of a human. Truly a unique shine. Love this podcast and every of these people is stellar.

Many may not know this, Norah Jones is daughter of the great Indian sitar player Ravi Shankar.
Conan is flat out hilarious and is up there amongst the funniest people of all time. Sona is just so absolutely incredibly great, her laughing alone could make any person melt. And Matt is super witty and funny, anddddd he’s arguably had the funniest line out of this entire podcast (and that’s saying A LOT). Any guesses?
