    There are less painful and less invasive ways to treat periodontal disease. Ozone is used first in full mouth disinfection to destroy bad bacteria, fungus and viruses that live in the mouth, followed by laser periodontal therapy. Nutritional support, an oral irrigator and chewable probiotics are all important factors for optimum healing.

    Can this be done on a tooth that has a gold crown that's had a root canal? My dentist says it has bone loss under the crown and may need to be extracted. I heard laser treatment may help regenerate bone.

    Great video doctor... You didn't mention the pain level on this treatment is the the equivalent pain level of a root planing and scaling?

    Hello Dr.Moldovan and thank you for making these educational videos. My question is, could this laser procedure save an infected molar that’s been recommended for extraction due to some bone loss? The infection is about 8 months old. Thank you in advance. -Alex

    What type of probiotics do you recommend after SRP with laser therapy? My office is implementing this procedure, and we did not learn anything about probiotics to help with healing and reducing the harmful bacteria load.

      Shelby Zmijewski Atridox vs Arestin. Atridox is so much cheaper per site because arestin is a bit over priced

      @Drsandamoldovan  Před 3 lety

      Usually one treatment. But it is important to follow up always a good oral hygiene regimen: brush, water jet, and probiotic daily

    • @Drsandamoldovan
      @Drsandamoldovan  Před 3 lety

      Scraping is an old technique which can be damaging to the roots. A piezo scaler an Airflow is much more effective to clean the tartar And is also providing anti inflammatory treatment
