- We had a go at fitting the new Swytch e-bike system that succesfully crowdfunded recently. It claims to be super-easy to fit, so how easy is it?

thank you so much, my contessa active 20 drop downs were to narrow for the motor axle. we debated the swytch kit advise to file down the flats on the motor axle, but it is hollow, but when I saw you file the drop downs it was YES.....this has been an odyssey wiating 8 mnths from the crowd funding to getting it. Everything else went well just the wheel. thanks for the video
Finally got mine and this “universal kit” doesn’t fit my ordinary bike. Their axle is too large for my fork. Maybe they should have explained the constraints of their axle as apparently it doesn’t fit quick-release bikes. Very disappointed!

That crank sensor would be better fitted to the spare chainring bolts when running 1x on a 2x crank.

The only issue I've had with the Swytch higher power system for off road on my 29er cannondale they only supply a 28"wheel which according to Swytch is the same size however the tyre on mine came off the rim at 30mph down downhill throwing me. Their only answer was the brakes must have rubbed the tyre to cause the problem even though I'd told them twice that it has disc brakes.
I had to use sugru too for the pas sensor.
It definitely doesn't to the quoted mileage unless I Pell like hell and use the pas at level 1 with the lowest level of assistance basically just like having no assistance just the extra weight.
There's a lot of systems out there now this I've found the customer service backup lacking. I've had to shell out a boat load of cash extra because of the wrong info given and having to do to the small claims court. Just to get the money back putting their mistakes right and buying a new helmet because the one I was wearing at the time cracked. Personally if I'd known the problems with this system is have steered clear and gone to sometime like Andy Kirby.

Can't get our swytch to work. Lights are on and sensor flickers but front wheel doesn't move when rotating the back wheel.
Great video you have problem fitting brake motor cut off hall sensor did you find that you didn’t need it. I fitted the kit and didn’t fit this cut off and now 3 month later he is having problems with his motor starting up after he as switch off the power

Why the distraction music
Not impressed You need to watch a few other videos or go back to your day job. Panda bikes no longer sells the mid-drive. Your Swytch kit you would have been quicker fitting a throttle than PAS.
