How do u like it? I just bought a set of nines and will be getting this subwoofer tomorrow as well. It was on sale on Amazon for 399.00 so I snapped it up!! Will be using it with my pc along with a set.of kanto tuk's. I use a 43 inch LG C2 oled as my monitor, so games and movies!
Do they actually hit below 29 hz with authority? I have a pair of r120's they roll off hard after 29 hz
I've never measured it but I'm still pretty pleased with them. If you're looking for sound with that signature "punch" get one that is not ported, but sealed.
I got 2 of them, love them but the only problem i'm having and can not figure it out is why in some parts of the movie the bass is toooo much, i dont know what do i have to adjust. Gain is half (12 o'clock) and on my AV is -11db
I would suspect that has more to do with the audio file encoded with what you're watching versus the subwoofer itself.
@@MovieUniversity i was just watching blade runner 2049 and in some scenes the bass is like bummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm lol it gets annoying.
@@abesandoval1024 haha. i think it's a combination of things.
1) i haven't watched 2049 in a few years but that movie is bass heavy from my memory so it is indeed "supposed" to sound like that
2) zooming out a bit, the audio guys intentionally mix movies for theatrical releases because that's what the directors want. The dynamic range (or the loudest to quietest range the sounds makes) is not adjusted for home sound systems thus you're hearing a mix that's designed to be heard in a massive auditorium with big speakers and sound insulation.
In my opinion Nolan movies are the worst.
Why using two sub woofers ?
Do we really need 2 sub woofers if the room is just 20ft wide and broad and 25ft high ?
I am going to get these 2 tomrw. Super excited.
So just plug & play to the avr right ? Or anything specific things needed to taken care of interms of audysey?

@@soamjena using multiple subs givs you even bass in multiple listening position. I had one 10 inch klipch, later orderd 2 of 12s and big diff like day & night for me in my HT

It's the Best Deal now at $599 on Amazon. But if you spending $1,200 the REL Predator 15" or Definitive Technology DN15 with 3XR or 3 Woofers & HSU 15" the King, All are $1200 and high end shake the neighbor's house not just your house at real high quality 20HZ. It's like you want the Car's Jr $8 Burger or the $20 Steakhouse Burger..... For a house party or playing Rap & Rock music just get the Klipsch SPL 15. So SPL is the Higher End Klipsch and it's still a Budget Subwoofer for being 15". I know they have a 14" and 16" as the Expensive Klipsch but you can't compare to HSU and REL.

Define high end. Because there are differences of opinion on what constitutes high end.

@@esjihn Not sure if you got them, but Lego Batman and The Greatest Show have excellent bass in them. Forget that their family or kids movies, they'll give your subs a workout.
@@MovieUniversity blade runner 2049, matrix, and tenet are some of my top choices for bass testing. Also just grabbed john wick collection and will test tonight. Feels like imax in here. 2 r121sws are soooo good. Much better than the 2 psw10s

I picked this sub up a few months ago, open box for $280. Very good sub. Now I want another but I’ll wait till Christmas in July to hopefully get another for $300

Have you tried installing sound insulation? I found that it greatly enhances audio experiences.
@@MovieUniversity I have not tried sound insulation. I do not have a dedicated theater room. My living room is my viewing area. Best I can do is subwoofer crawl and audyssey.
I didn't mean anything fancy. Things like a rug on a hard floor and some sound panels on the walls in the room you're watching in.
