I actually really appreciate how more games are getting historical and actually educational. That was one of the main hooks that originally got me into Assassin's Creed back in the early 2,000's. Like, watching a documentary or something is cool and all, but to actually get to walk around and explore these places is fascinating to me. I hope that this game will be similar in that regard. I actually didn't really know that the Mongol Empire had that dramatically taken over Japan to such a degree (or I just never really researched it), so I'm really looking forward to seeing how SP handles exploring Japan during this tumultuous period.
i love games based on history even if they are not fully accurate games like this red dead and ac are great would like to see more historical games.
Mongol Empire has never settled on Tsushima. Invaded? Yes. But they turned back quickly to their land without settling anyone on the island. After that, they tried to go home, almost all of their fleet drown because of sea storm. Some time later they invaded it the second time, but the outcome was the same.
Assassin's creed stopped being very historical....
Unfortunately it did. Or, it went so far back that it started relying on things like legends and whatnot. The landscape is always based on the actual place though, from what I've seen. Exploring the Coliseum and Sphinx, for example, are supposed to be fairly accurate representations.
I love those types of games, Uncharted Drake's Fortune really brought me into it. My favourite series, and so revolutionary. Also Assassin's Creed like u said (especially the 2nd one).
The art direction and the music in this game continues to impress me. And it's coming out sooner that i thought!

They confirmed a while ago you can choose Japanese voice with English subtitles if you want. There is a JP version of the trailer on PlayStation Japan's CZcams channel to see how it sounds. Personally i think i ll stick with english because the acting looks pretty well done
Yeah, and The Japanese audio doesn't match the face animation very well.
Yeah i saw it and the lip syncing was off for the Japanese dub, also Jin is being voiced by Zoro from one piece and i just can't help but imagine zoro when Jin is talking so i'll stick with English too lol.
Last time I read into this, there will be an option to set the language to Japanese w/subs. They even have some cut scenes on youtube in Japanese!
The cutscenes are real time, the reason why it looks better than gameplay is because cutscenes are less demanding, so they can push more polygons and textures
The thing with Jin is acualy he replease in history of japan the camicase, the divine wind, wich sloter most of the army of mongols. I realy hope that people will understand that and don't think that Jin is only a sloter machine, he is the divine "ghost".

True however not sure about TLoU2. That had tremendous potential but sadly failed due to forced story, narrative and characters.

The game allows u to choose between English and the authentic Japanese. That's what I heard. I'm definitely choosing Japanese it's way cooler.
I'm noticing how the wind is always noticeable in these trailers. Probably because both mongol invasions of Japan were halted by massive typhoons.

@@zerenadli I have no sympathy for those xturds because they've been dragged through the mud for the entire generation and they're still excited for the next failure. The Xbox brand took so many Ls it's not even funny anymore. I am a big Sony fan , I have no expectations from Microsoft and they still find new ways to disappoint me. I want them to be better and introduce some competition to the market but they just wont do it so fuck 'em. And fuck their fans for that matter.

Kingdom Come Deliverance still has the best combat system. 1vs1. But parry counter is a bit overpowered. Combos are useless later in game.
The English acting is phenomenal, plus they used the actors actual faces.
There should be second part of the game where Mongols try to invade the japan again. And Jin Sakai comes back again and Shogun honour him this time. There should be a story for attacking on mainland.
In Mahabharata kauravas were fighting with dishonour, and krishna and Pandavas given back the tit for tat.

English dubs can’t match the characters well in anime but their quality is so good in Pixar type movies for some reason I prefer English subs because it matches well Pokémon and dragon ball were good tho

Dude, do it. I'm an Xbox player and have been for the last 15 years but got a PS4 to play the exclusives of this generation and it's totally been worth it. God of War, Spider-Man and The Last of Us are the ones I've played, still have Horizon, Infamous Second Son, Death Stranding, Shadow of The Colossus, Uncharted and this to play.

This is for @jaby, every non Japanese watches anime in non Japanese language. I watched Dragonball z and Pokemon in Hindi when I was a kid. I watched it seriously in English during my clg days and slowly went to eng sub with japanese. It's a simple transition if u are willing to go for it. U can again come back to English and still enjoy it but the original words used are more accurate in English subbed than dubbed so I get a feel of Creator's word more. That's y I prefer subbed. I again say it, it's not that big a deal to watch sub.

I'll play this in English because the accents help but for an example I played Assassin's Creed Unity in French because all the French people had English accents and it was really weird.
Unlike other games they straight up used gameplay rather than CGI and looks so much better than those E3 trailers

Sucker punch said from day 1 they have worked hard to implement a japanese selection with subs and that's how it should be played for me anyway as a kid buying vhs from hmv kungfu films if didnt have chinese version I'd get them to order it in because dubbed always felt un authentic also rascist with silly voices even jackie chan has re-dubbed his own because didnt like the voices

There's a Japanese trailer on Playstation Japan but the audio doesn't match the animation very well. And it's a rare case where English Audio sounds way better.

so we have different games like call of duty, assassin creed and many more that is about a country. or an individual fighting another country and any time its about japanese someone has to bring up patriotism. This was made by an american game studio.
