I'm a pilot: I've publicly offered, in over a dozen FE online groups, to fly, and cover all costs for, a flight to edge of the Flat Earth. I set no parameters, no requirements, no assumptions, nada. Just a free flight to fame and stardom for any flat earther who wants to hop on board and film the infamous edge of the earth, ice wall, whatever is there, to destroy science once and for all. Within seconds or minutes of every single post in each group, I was kicked out and banned. That should tell you all you need to know about Flat Earth.

@@Semper_Fish Show me the prevailing document that dictates that I am not authorized to fly over Antarctica. And yes. Happy to cover the not massive costs. Plane rental from South America and fuel. I'll handle the flight planning, check out and all details. All they gotta do is show up and get on board. But no one will. Because I am one of many pilots who have offered the same. I'm also one of many pilots who has been over Antarctica, and I've also freely set foot on it. One day she was on the west coast and I had her face time me, it was light here and dark there, I asked how that worked with her flat earth model, and she said “That’s a good question, but it’s probably the government”
No matter what evidence I showed her about it being round she would believe none of it because she never seen it with her own eyes. Like pictures of boats disappearing from the bottom up, “that’s just a picture, anybody can edit a picture” etc

    • @thejedi5079

The boat dissappered bottom up because of the vanishing point.
Just like the sun will dissapper due to the vanishing point bottom up.
And the reason it dissappers bottom up is because the earth is matter unlike the sky.
But if you get a powerful telescope then you can pull it right back into view.
And the sun cannot be pulled back up because it is further away unless you go up in a aircraft,'you can pull the sun back into view because of the vanishing point.
Not because of the non curve.
And the telescope also has a vanishing point to it also !. Due to our eyesight not being able to see through the haze.
Boats don't go over a curve. They just get too small to see 🙈.
Also tell me why if the earth is going 1600mph and I jump in the air it does not zoom by me ??.
And don't say relativity because that would mean that you cannot have to take into account the Coriolanus affect for a bullet as that would be tied to relativity also ! Right ?.
And if you have to take into account the Coriolous affect for a bullet 'then that means you would for an airplane ✈️?.
      But they do not ?.
So why do globers like to have it both ways ??.
That's not science but Scientism and BS.
Also if a plane takes off and fly's with the spin it would stand still or fly backwards?
And if a plane fly's into the spin then why does it not get to it's destination faster ?
      So relatively is basically BS
Same as the clouds ! Why do clouds not move with relativity ?
Oh yeah that's right. They do on the cartoon CGI ball 😆😆😆.
Cmon man. Use common sense and stop believing in BS masonic lies.
Why do planes fly all over the world instead of just cutting across from Australia to Africa but land in Dubai ??.
Seems like a long way to go to refuel lol.
But on a gleeson map it's a straight line.
Look.. the globe has been destroyed by people who have had enough of the lies.
The only people who won't accept it is the people with invested interests or people who are supposed to be academic and yet they don't seem to understand basic physics ??.
      Funny that isn't it?
So before saying boats disappear bottom up because it's gone over the curve. Then go and look up vanishing point in the dictionary!.
The earth is in a pond like barrier.
It amazes me how intelligent people actually believe that people walk upside down and airplanes flip upside down with the passengers not noticing while on the plane ??.
Why do pilots not nose up every 10 mins also ?
      Please don't say relativity 😆😆😆.lol.
The Earth is in a crater and water is flat and always finds its level.
Also why can people see 1300 miles away with infrared filters on cameras? If the earth is a ball ?
Your life is a lie just like everyone else and mine until I woke up to the bullshit.
Even buzz Aldrin messed up and said that they never went to the moon.
      Too many lies.
Even verner Von Braun has left breadcrumbs on his grave stone psalm 19-1 to let you all know that you been lied to.
It's crazy this argument. I understand why it takes a while for it to sink in due to cognitive dissonance but really clever people are stupid and that really puzzles me
Magnetic 🧲🧲🧲 fields die when heat is applied to them.
Yet you believe that the core is magnetic and it is in molten lava ?? Lol 😆😆😆.

Flat earthers can easily be silenced by simply asking them to get a Ham radio license (FCC). Just learning about _antennas_ is enough to cause grief to a flat-earther. Ham radio tends to follow a line-of-sight trajectory. A ham antenna, then, regardless of length, tends to follow that trajectory, nice and flat. When the earth curves, the antenna can't follow that trajectory unless propagation occurs, and we don't usually see that.

    • @WJV9
      @WJV9 Před 9 měsíci +5

Of course the frequency of the transmission affects the trajectory. UHF and higher are usually line of sight unless there is some sort of reflection of signals off the ionization levels in the upper atmosphere. The AM radio transmissions are in the range of 535 to 1605 KHz and FM radio is from 88 to 108 MHz. The AM radio transmissions can be picked up at longer distances than FM assuming a similar antenna and sensitivity of the radio RF front end. The lower frequency of the AM band will allow longer transmissions than 'line of sight' due to reflection and also refraction of radio waves due to atmospheric conditions. I remember being able to pick up AM radio station XERF - Del Rio, Texas on Sat. night on my car radio in the 1950's when I lived in NW Missouri. Indeed I have had military people who were stationed in northern Alaska and Canada tell me about listening to XERF Del Rio, Texas on their radios and they were over 2,000 miles away from the radio station.

My own personal experience of understanding the earth is round - like, really getting it on a gut level instead of it just being acquired knowledge - was the first time I visited the Northern Hemisphere. I'm an Aussie, and I visited a bunch of friends across the northern US back in 2003. The moon became full while I happened to be in Ohio, and that night my friend and I were driving somewhere at night. I suddenly told her, "Stop! Pull over the car for a second!" She thought something was wrong, or I was going to throw up, but instead I just jumped out of the car and stared at the full moon.
    IT WAS UPSIDE-DOWN!!!
I am one of those people who sees a very clear human face in the full moon. It's just pareidolia of course, but it's CONSISTENT pareidolia. That face was rotated 180 degrees from what I was used to seeing. All of sudden, I really FELT the spheroid nature of the earth and understood on a visceral level that I had gotten into a plane and flown from one side of that spheroid to the other. I had a moment of intense vertigo and nearly fell over. Orion was also clearly visible that night, and it was "upside-down" from my perspective (technically the right way up, since we Aussies always see that constellation upside-down, but you get what I mean).
Whenever anyone tells me they believe the earth is flat, I tell them to do some international travel.

    • @williamsplays8528
      @williamsplays8528 Před rokem

@@hillside6401 Plane trigonometry is not used for celestial navigation you dumbass. I use a sextant all the time to account for IMU alignment issues in space craft. You simply just take a star marking at one point, move a little, and mark that same star. Depending on how far it moves is NOT where you are located, it is the error of where you are located. So lets say you fly around and your space craft is telling you that your roll cal angles are R:180 P:270 Y:110 and you perform a big burn. You think you will end up the burn's distance away facing the same direction. You don't, however, and because of this fact the flight director attitude indicator actually no longer knows where it is facing to the exact position (because the earth is round). So you mark the star, how far it has moved, and this corrects the roll cal angles. To you know where you are in physical space you have to orient the space craft to make sure the star hits the horizon and then mark. This will tell you where you have ended up. And to know where you are relative to the earth's surface you just mark a land mark, and every 20 seconds mark it again and repeat that 5 times. Depending on how far away the land mark is and how much the space craft moves we derive it's relative ground position. None of this requires trigonometry. It is all calculus. If you'd like to try that argument again I am waiting.
While plane trig could be used because we know the radius of the earth, it is too crude to actually be used with any level of accuracy we require flying space craft. But if you don't know how that works it is quite simple, take a sphere and draw a triangle NOT on it's surface, but rather through the crust and the center of the earth. We USED to do this for space craft and the only reason we could was because the stars are SO far away that the triangular plane comes outside of the earth (otherwise it doesn't work because it has no reference). We don't do this anymore because with distances as far as the moon you'd end up several THOUSANDS of miles off and completely miss the moon.
Again if you'd like to try this again I am all ears. I have been doing space craft navigation for over 5 years.
Just because we used to do something crude and inaccurate does not mean we still do. Do you think blood letting will cure you of all your diseases just because we did that in the past HMMM?

Would a god be stupid enough to convey his intentions in such a roundabout way that it would create endless dissensus (and even deaths) about his meaning? Or if he did, can we say he is benevolent? And if not, then the book is saying otherwise. Wait… it’s a metaphor?
