  • The EcoFlow Delta 1300 is a brand new electric solar generator with a 1300 watt/hour capacity battery and a max output of 1800 watts. This power supply sounds awesome on paper, but can it do everything it promises? Let’s find out together! In this video, I plug a bunch of inefficient appliances into the Delta to see how it performs. Please note, all nine experiments were conducted on a single charge. Enjoy!

      BoutenkoFilms -I’m leaning towards this inverter but I got one question that I need help with. It looks like the outlet plugs on the face are only two prong outlets without the the round third ground prong usually at the bottom of an outlet. Is that correct? . . . . I see what looks like the third hole for the top 3 outlets but I’m not sure if it even has that. Please advise Sir, . . .

    We have used the czcams.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

    Sergei, great video. I don't have the product, so I'm only commenting on your delivery.
    How refreshing to hear a young guy talk...actually talk...without starting every sentence with "OK, SO...". Seem like a simple thing, but no one does it any more!
    You don't hear any really excellent communicators start out like that, and it's great to hear you communicate without launching into the talking style of nearly every youtube video ("like, ok, so...").
    You have a new subscriber. Very well done my friend!
    (Oh yeah, the product is absolutely amazing.)

    With others, since I live in FL, the most important thing is "Will it make a refrigerator work and for how long?" In a hurricane, we don't need coffee, hair dryers, drills, etc. We need the basics.

    • @rasaiefar
      @rasaiefar Před 4 lety +2

      it depends on your fridge size, normal medium size fridge use about 600-700 watt/hour , in start of fridge you should add additional 100-200 watt for starting appliance. it means for normal fridge with 600 watts/hr usage, it works around 2 hours only. but if you use those type of camper/car fridges (about 30-40 liter only) then it can run near 2 days .
      for Microwave you will have 600-1000 watt for running, definitely you wont run microwave for hours and hours, maybe 5-10 minute each time. this battery gives you approximately 100-120 minutes of run time. then you should check how often you can use it ;)

    Being an "EMERGENCY GENERATOR" (NOT made to run your whole RV) will it handle the important things (1 at a time and all at once) such as fridge, freezer, a/c, and microwave?? And in the morning when you are in your kitchen can you run the coffee pot, blender, toaster and microwave all at the SAME time (which is the way most people do in their homes)?? What about the power monster of all things, the portable heater (which uses more power than the hair drier) (and what can be plugged in along with the heater)?? Remember this is an emergency generator. And don't forget about using it in the house VS RV. What are the necessities and what are the max amount of things that can run at the SAME TIME????? GREAT VIDEO!!! Keep up the good work. GOD Bless.

    The idea behind these is sound, and the light weight of the newer batteries makes portability possible.
    The three main uses of them however come with nearly unrestricted weight once in place.
    Emergencies at home are usually covered with a stationary installation.
    Rv applications are once again in a stationary environment once in place too, as is the third use of remote power by construction people where the installation can be permanent in work vehicles.
    With that in mind I can easily put together a functionally identical system at a fraction of the cost using an AGM battery and my own inverter.
    Something to think about before getting one's wallet out.

      I've been looking into this and haven't found anybody that is successfully using a UPS portable power station as sump pump backup.
      I have a 1/3hp pump that specs at 9.7amp at 115v (9.7Ax115V= 1115.5 watts) Easy Peasy
      AND the initial motor draw(spike) is 25.4 amps@120 volts= 3048watts which is within the EF Delta's 3300 max!!
      HOWEVER, IF THE EFDELTA DOESN'T HAVE ENOUH DRAW OVER A 12 HOUR PERIOD (i.e. the pump only runs for a few seconds each hour due to little or no excess ground water), THE DELTA SHUTS ITSELF OFF!
      I'm no expert, but wouldn't trust this type of unit for home sump pump backup. Look into 1622PS Pump Sentry, $$$+a battery, but easier to install. I haven't stopped searching though!!!

      fridges are pretty low power consumption and hes been testing stuff at 1800 watts so a fridge would be fine and would last for hours, last time i remember checking my fridge/freezer was 60 watts

      I love my Eco Flow Delta! It struggles with my Brother HL 6200 printer. I have to push the button several times to keep it on. It has a huge start up need. Is it due to the capacitors? The printer does dim my room lights in my house when I start it. Any ideas?

    The basic unit as presented is 899 bucks as of Jan 8th 2019 and not in production. Don't know what kind of battery is in it but it must be expensive, The eco is a nice piece if you need something portable out in the woods or something like that. You can get a small hd tote with a deep cycle battery and an inverter and produce the identical ting without the fancy display. ,Using top of the line stuff cost should tun about.less than five hundred dollars. But for those who aren't handy this might be a good choice.

    This might sound a little crazy but my main use (or plan at least) is for a portable ice maker, while RV camping. If you have one, or access to one, I'd love to see how it does. They usually run about 100w during a 7~ minute cycle and then the compressor kicks on for a second and it jumps up to something crazy like 1000w! Since the load is relatively low for 95% of the time, I'm thinking it can run all day if 100w or so of solar is added.

      Steve, I just got back from dry-camping, and ran my 100w portable ice maker using a Xantrex 600w pure sine inverter running off a 138Ah lithium battery. I had previously tried a Morning Star Pure300, and it could not get past the start-up. So, the Delta should have no problem.
      I have never put a Kill-a-watt on it, so I can't guess how long it would run.

    • @Curb71
      @Curb71 Před 4 lety

      @@greensavant2573 How long did it run off that fully charged battery? I've use the ice maker at home plugged into a Kill-a-watt just to see the wattage and it seems the spike it so kick it doesn't even register. It would go from around 90w-100w and then spike up to 110w-120w which based on my and your inverter testing, is false. I don't doubt the Delta can do it, I'm just curious for how long. Maybe plugged into some solar or my RV's 12v DV port as well might allow the thing to run almost forever.

      @@Curb71 Sorry, just noticed this.
      I only ran it long enough to make 3 cycles of cubes for each of a few drinks. Don't know how long it would run non-stop. But, another 138Ah lithium battery runs my 3.1cuft Norcold compressor fridge "forever". It is fed by a 90w panel through a Genasum MPPT charge controller, and after hours of driving (and then plugging in at the campground), the next day by Noon the battery is topped off. Last Saturday was off-grid, and the battery was still >13V after 30+ hours.
      Yes, the ice makers compressor spike is too fast for the Kill-a-Watt, and for my Fluke clamp-on meter as well. It is definitely well over 300W, as the Morning Star Sure Sine does have surge built in.
      What is up with "AP" on the Delta Comments page? He seems obsessed with being able to charge the Delta from a dirty power non-inverter generator. Doesn't he realize that Harbor Freight has their 2000w Predator inverter generator on sale regularly for $449 or less?
