The weather is warming up a bit this week, and I'm motivated to get things done!! Today while the kids were at school I had time for some self-care, cleaning, and grocery shopping and decided to film a video.

Self-Care-
I try to exercise 3-4 times per week. I do a lot of strength training with weights (either gym or at home) and some cardio to get my heart rate up. I also like to walk or hike as often as I can and get outside in nature. I try to keep up with my two very active sons. I’ve been doing Caroline Circuits workouts at home. She’s great:

Cleaning-
I have a daily pick up/cleaning routine, but every week I like to deep clean an area of the house. I pick one area to focus on, either the bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, or kitchen. The other day we focused our efforts on cleaning out our entire attic and organizing the shed. As we get closer to spring we will do a deep clean of the garage. It feels so nice to deep clean and focus on the areas that don't get as much attention with superficial daily cleaning.
Grocery Shopping- I shop once a week. I do mostly Trader Joes, Aldi and some Costco for bulk items. It takes a good chunk of my day to go down to Trader Joes, so I try to plan ahead and also make a Target stop for any necessities that I can't get at the Walmart in our small town.
Skincare- I do a skincare routine morning and evening. I dry brush 3 times a week.

Rachel, I really appreciate you mentioning that you came out of seasonal depression....its nothing wrong to be open about all these things...everyone suffers from mood swings....youtubers like yourself can bring change in thoughts of conservative people regarding mental health!
It's been gloomy and cold for 5 months here :( my depression lasts from October usually until the end of February, I hate these months and the last few weeks are really irritating me with this weather 😢😢

The weather situation around the country is crazy. You got more snow where you are and here in NYC we got none which makes me happy. I realized while watching that you were the first one to introduce me to dry brushing before you were even married to Byron. How long is that, like 10 years? I definitely have to look for that oil at Trader Joe's because I always use an oil to keep my skin and feet smooth. Enjoyed spending the day with you.

Girl!!! I totally feel you on the “seasonal depression” We live in GA and our winters are usually nasty and dreary 😞 So ANY sunshine is always a gift! Thankfully our winters don’t last as long as some…very grateful to live in the south 🍑
Same! Lucky to have short winters because it really does take a toll on my mental health if it lasts too long.

You inspire me to exercise more often, I am currently homeschooling my girls so I often forget to care for myself.
Also, I’ve never tried my vital protein in tea I always just put it in my coffee. I will have to try that as well. Can you taste it at all?
Lastly, It’s funny you are deep cleaning your kitchen, I was just deep cleaning the bathrooms today and I thought ‘next up the kitchen’ then you posted this, I take it as a sign that I need to deep clean the kitchen 😅
Ps: not relevant but thought it was funny, my daughter saw your video as I was watching it and asked “mommy is that you?” I guess we kind of look alike. 😂
