  • I like to take notes in the Microsoft Word desktop app, then upload it to OneDrive because creating the table of contents and an index doesn't work well in the web app.
    On the Microsoft Word (Office 365) web app, tools like blaze work great to enter snippets of pre-set text really fast. I am constantly using it for web stuff, but had nothing like that for the desktop.
    This video shows how to create a timestamp using the Microsoft Word AutoText feature. Adding a timestamp to each of my notes and updates helps me keep things organized and better able to connect dots based on when the note was created. Tech moves fast and using a timestamp (on just about everything) helps me clock it.
