Never thought I’d get to see the 737s in SIA colors. Amazing video mate.
SIA had 737s in their early years. But yeah, it's still pretty cool to see them.
@@bonzobonanza yes
@@bonzobonanza my fav sia planes were the 340s. Specially the long ones
Looks very unusual
back to their root lol
If anyone's interested, this 737 retained it's original config. from Silk Air for 162 seats. Enjoyed the vid as always. 😉👍✌️
cute pets
Ahh these are not the ones with the new lie flat seats
@@nshon7 Those are I think only on the MAX variants, the NG models won’t have them unless Singapore Airlines refurbishes them.
Singapore airlines is one of the best airlines in the world tbh
@K Sjodin Partly true but, what does that have to do with anything?
@K Sjodin How about not forcing Western ideas on Eastern peoples? Democracy is not some magical solution for every political system. It's nothing unique.
@K Sjodin And so? People want good roads, education, healthcare, transportation, security, parks.....people in Singapore have all these and its one of the best places to live in the world......what good is your American “democracy” if it cannot even provide these basic essentials to its people?
Quantas 😐
@@sofiaelizondopacheco1135 This was two years ago 😐😐😐😐😐😐
I used to live in Penang 2015-20 and flew many round trips to Changi on these 738s when they belonged to SilkAir. They were quite a decent regional carrier, but being merged into SIA seems to have been a HUGE win for everyone.
I sorely miss the approach into Changi from the south side. Thanks for taking me on a stroll down memory lane.
Love watching these vids! Great job guys :D
Finally! I now have a real flight review on the Singapore Airlines 737, and it's definitely great seeing Singapore Airlines operating together with SilkAir as one airline!
I don't know why I like this format so much..I like your other format, too...thanks for the simplicity...love if travel and aviation..no politics either(nonstop dan)...no excessive complaining about safety violations(Cahill)..no sense of privilege (Chui)..i like them all but this is my fav
Love SQ and phuket! Cant wait to fly there again on the 737, we always used to fly silkair.
This is so interesting, singapore airlines has always been for me the airline you never expect to use a 737
You are my new fav trip report video series😃
Gotta admit, the Singapore Airlines livery looks really sharp on the 737!
Another great report!
Beautiful night lights from Phuket to Singapore!
Always thought if SQ would operate the 738 and what it will be like. Awesome report! SQ is really a great airline!
I flew this exact flight back in feb!! But I was in business on their new “throne” seats - such an amazing experience with Singapore airlines as always!
hope you enjoy your stay in Thailand David! great video as usual
Great review of SIA’s Boeing 737 David! I can’t wait to fly once they have installed IFEs on them.
they are available on their 737 MAX 8s which are in operation already :)
1:09 It’s been a few years since I’ve flown into & out of HKT, so long ago that the new terminal was nearly completed. The gates could be used, and were accessed from the old terminal, but the new main check-in concourse wasn’t open yet. It looks like a scaled down version of Suvarnabhumi’s concourse.
Loving the content. The only way I know of these airlines is through trip reports. So great to be able to enjoy watching them :)
What cheery title-music you have. Good to see that Singapore Airlines was back in profit last quarter. Thanks for the height-check.
love your vids love from Thailand!
Stunning
Great flight, good news is finally Singapore Airlines reintroduced the narrow body aircraft after long time, bad news the Silk Air is no longer anymore.
Singapore Airline B737 Max business class seat are flat bed style. Similar to those wide body aircraft. 10/10 !! Excellent !!
Just experience it, Same route, Singapore - Phuket
Rarely flown SIA to nearby countries other than using AirAsia, so Im glad for coming across this vid
Thank you for the video!
I love the night approach
Keep it up good content :)
Thanks for the video
Thanks, I’m flying this exact same route in 3 weeks
Thanks for riding our aircraft the pillot appreciate it!
Always nice capture
Great work
This is a very nice trip to Phuket to Singapore
Great!
well nice review about flight in B737-800 , I wait to a review vidéo about the new fleet A320Neo of Tunisair soon
Love the video
These regular uploads are seriously distracting me from my finals study but I’m all for it 🍿😂
I am the first one to like this video lol . Btw your videos are nice
enjoy your flight with singapore airlines👍🙏
That’s a good view of Marina Bay in Singapore.
Awesome 👌
Amazing 🇸🇬Singapore Airlines 737-800 plane, but I see this plane is no TV on the chair, but don’t worry is ok! @Simply Aviation, you do it very very well, great job keep it up!!!! I hope you next time can take Business Class… ✈️😀💜🧡💛💚❤️💙
Fantastic trip report David, didn’t you cover part of this flight in the brutally honest espied of the flight to EWR?😸
Ini memang hebat
Wow David keep it up
Garuda Indonesia’s 737 short flight is still provided by with personal IFE onboard. But this one is good too.
Singapore airlines has also equipped IFEs in their 737 fleet now
Next on China Eastern 737, I’m very excited 😃
Nice travel report.
Wow bye bye Thailand
Hope you will come here again
I remember phuket airport back in 2019. i cant even recognise it now since theres no crowds!
Yoo I remember my flight landing on that exact runway!
Approach was familiar because I sat on the same side of your seat...!
WOW i did not know that Singapore airlines has 737s
Wow......SQ new 737.... Means new jobs for pilots and we as future pilots on 10 years
Nice vid and I wish I could go there agin because the last time I went there is December 2020
WOW! NEW BOEING 737
Actually, an 8-year old 737
Hi, I'm new here and also Indonesian as well. Just noticed at the end of the video when you said farewell in Indonesian, you better say "terima kasih dan semoga harimu menyenangkan". But I appreciate that you tried, you did a great job. Anyway, love your Channel. 🙏👍
Nice trip report , yeah some home the silk air atmosphere is still there
No ptv, the leg room is same than before
Personally I always avoid MI operated flight like the one to Bali , but HKT always served by MI and now SQ narrow body , so there is no choice
That rice box meal is smart move
State of the cabin is as always awesome on SQ! The presentation of the tray for an 1,5h flight is really smart and beautiful! /Regards from Cyprus:)
Great 👍 video
Hi,great video, have not seen B737 review of SQ. i assumed that the wifi is free for streaming only right?
Nice flight
Looks good even in economy. :)
nice👍
Never imagine SQ have to operating 737s.. and now it is good
I am a Thai follower Hope you come to visit Thailand again.💗💗
These B737s former Silkair fleet are also used for Singapore to Philippines flights except for Manila which needs the larger A350-900s A330-300 B777-300/er
I flew with Silk Air 12 years ago on the same route
I could very well be flying a similar route in September, as I'm considering a trip to Koh Samui. The flight back may very well involve a stopover in SIN from there using a Bangkok Airways A319 (a type I've never flown on to this point).
If you’ve never been to a similar airport before, Koh Samui will be quite unique… terminal is open air and right next to the runway. If you’re lucky you will see an A319 departing right next to you!
@@iaexo I actually briefly read about that. That will be pretty unique among airports I've flown to. Excited to experience that once everything's booked.
Wow
Nice video😎 just busy making same video but From Singapore to Phuket 😂 SQ-728 ✈️
Do you feel safe flying on a 737-800 despite what has happened ?
Me when I hear the absolute banger song at the beginning of every one of his videos 🕺
Nice
I live in Thailand!
I remember the brutally honest video of Cathay Pacific.
Awesome review as ever. I fly on SIA every time when seeing family in NZ from the UK. Is there going to be a premium economy review on SQ?? Thinking about whether to pay the extra for premium economy to NZ if it’s good/worth it…
If I am not mistaken I think they have already posted a brutally honest report flying aboard their A350 in premium economy!
I dont think Singapore Airlines would deploy the 737 on a route as long as that, not because of range, but it would prob be too unprofitable to operate considering the large ammount of fuel required along with the low volume of passengers that can he seated in the aircraft.
@@Neilarmeweak550 think he is talking about the larger aircraft
@@ryleferrer4876 He edited the comment
I did manage to see 737Max 8 flying on the Singapore beach
will be flying Melbourne to Phuket with SQ as soon as all the strictions are lifted. sad there is no IFE
This is the only one in which we had in our brutally honest
I didn't know that Singapore Airlines have 737NGs now. But I did figured out they had 737-200 at 1970s.
Your mission is to review every airline, mine is to watch every review :D
(and say "disinfectant")
Gg for the reports
Another awesome review! I know Singapore Airlines will have PTVs on their MAXs and will have their 738s refitted with them, but more and more airlines around the world are removing screens on short haul planes and allowing passengers to stream content via wifi instead. Just wanted to ask y'all's opinion on this? Are you for or against it on a short haul flight? Cuz honestly i don't know how i feel about it, I'm kinda leaning towards keeping screens, just wanted to get some different perspectives and opinions
I'm in favor of leaving the screens , it's nice to have imo
If they remove the screens, there is also no need for inflight entertainment boxes that reduce legroom, and especially on short haul planes they can make seats even slimmer (though I'm not a fan of that). On short haul there is also not really a need for a library of movies to watch, so if they can reduce costs by removing IFE, I can understand it.
I thought they'll just send the NGs off to Virgin Australia
Kinda depends what short haul we are talking about , does any European carrier really need PtVs on their 320s, no , however if your gonna spend 5 hours on the thing ( like us transcon or Hawaii or transatlantic , then yes they should keep them
@@Ben-go1iq While that's true, the fact that they put PTVs on the max is the main reason why people would want PTVs on the NG. Consistency is key.
Singapore Let’s Visit
they are already using the max 8 on this route 😃
Hope there will be a review of Malaysia Airlines 737. Thanks.
Do you think SIA will give the rest if their NGs to Virgin Australia?

Hi David, what's the brand of your suitcase, and how did you make it looking like that?
I use a Samsonite metal suitecase and I put lots of stickers on it :)
Would be Gr8 if emirates also launches narrow body planes
