What's good, Convinced and Converted! I have nine words for you, courtesy of Spencer, Tracy, Kong, and the late Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott:
    Let's go, Ghostbusters! Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!
As a teen growing up in the mid-1980s, I always believed that show business had more than enough room for two groups of Ghostbusters to co-exist. The Ghostbusters with the gorilla was around since 1975 when they had a live action show then a syndicated cartoon show a decade later, whereas the four Real Ghostbusters with the green slimy mascot ghost and proton packs became a household name, their movie became a box office hit in 1986 and debuted in their own Saturday morning cartoon show one year later. NEW MUSIC MIX,COVER,REMIX POPULAR SONG Filmation's Ghostbusters came first and that led Columbia Pictures to add the word Real to the name of their Ghostbusters in order to avoid copyright infringement.

The theme song to Filmation's Ghostbusters had a way of staying in my head and was--believe it or not--the primary reason I watched the show to begin with--hey, that was a cool song back then and, with me being a budding musician at the time, I just knew I had to do a cover of that somewhere down the road.
Recently, I took a long stroll on that road throughout this month, putting the final touches on the Ghostbusters theme song after putting it on the back burner as a WIP (work in progress) since 2004. NEW MUSIC MIX,COVER,REMIX POPULAR SONG So here it is, as a T.R.I.-out and the very first on a new playlist devoted to theme songs of TV series, cartoon series, anime series and movie theme songs. 😁👍😁 I've never seen this animated series, insofar that I'm only familiar with the Real Ghostbusters, the Columbia Pictures box office smash seen worldwide. Yet I took a similar route that A. Dolph's done and Googled Ghostbusters and learned that Filmation beat Columbia Pictures to the punch when securing rights to the name Ghostbusters, prompting the latter to add the word real to their Ghostbusters for the Saturday morning cartoon series.
I was amazed at how you composed Filmation's Ghostbusters theme song using Yamaha S-YXG 50. Halloween, October 31, was the perfect date to upload this since there aren't as many Halloween themed songs as they are Christmas carols obviously. Etsuko and I will most likely watch a few episodes of Filmation's Ghostbusters in addition to a few horror anime series on our next date. It sounds like it was a cool cartoon back in the 80s.
Nipponesemo Machismo has left the building!

😊🎵😊 I'm 2 minutes and a handful of seconds into watching this and I've been like WHOA! If you had been an adult back in 1986, had the musical talent you have now, and played this version of the theme song to Filmation's owners, Scheimer and Prescott, there would've been a 100 percent guarantee that a portion of this would've been used for the cartoon's theme song.
Like T.K., I never saw this show as a kid during the 1980s, considering BBC here in the UK never aired it even a few years after it debuted a year before The Real Ghostbusters, based on the movie that was in theaters globally. If Filmation's Ghostbusters was on VHS or DVD, I never found any, I had to discover it online decades later, most specifically here on CZcams. It was a fairly decent cartoon and resumed from where the original cast of the live action show left off.
Your cover of this Filmation produced cartoon is, in many respects, how the theme song should've sounded in 1986. The addition of Billy Mays near the end of the video was very interesting, though I'd hoped that you would consider using Anthony Sullivan instead since he's very popular here in the UK. 😊 Have a great weekend and let us know when the next Post Modern Thump drops. Thanks!
    Quite Rightly!

I used to watch both Ghostbusters TV shows as a teen back in 1986-1987, and I could never fathom how two animation companies, DIC and Filmation managed to avoid stepping on each other's toes from legal standpoint, until I read the Wikipedia articles on both shows.
You’ve come through once again and dropped the perfect video on and for Halloween. Seeing Jake, Tracy and Eddie brings back memories of watching them in their show as well as the rest of my favorite syndicated cartoons during the middle of the week when I couldn't wait until Saturday morning to see the Real Ghostbusters. 👍🎵👍

Hey, mate, this T.R.I.-out is sick! I remember watching both Ghostbusters cartoon shows, this one in particular, way back in the day when ABC AU broadcasted them a few years after they were cancelled in the States. At first, I thought that Men At Work, one of my parents' favorite 80s rock bands, co-produced the theme song to the Filmation Ghostbusters since the song had a similar style to the music played by the band at that time. It had a catchy bass line and a jazzy sounding saxophone. I liked that theme song every bit as much as I did the one for the Real Ghostbusters movie and cartoon show.
From what little I know of the late Billy Mays, he was an excellent salesman, able to charm any customer into buying something online or in person. His charisma was magnetic. The product that he was the most successful at selling was Oxy Clean, according to a documentary that I saw this past ANZAC Day. I still use Oxy Clean at my dojo from time to time. How did Billy Mays end up making a cameo appearance in this video, I have to wonder?
Oh, yeah, while this is still fresh in my mind, in regards to my recent comment on the Hoges video?... I see it's still hidden and I'm not going to lose anymore sleep over that. However, it would make for a decent topic to cover in your next community post, ether this month or next. I hope you're having a great weekend. TTYL

What's good, Lydia? Thanks, as always, for watching this TRI-out of the Filmation's Ghostbusters theme song.
Almost everyone who commented so far has been asking about the role Billy May's played. Well, as a member of the deceased and angel in Heaven, Mr. May's just wanted Jake Kong, Jr. of the Ghostbusters to take a picture with them before he has to go back to Heaven. The former owners of Filmation, the late Lou Scheimer and Norm Prescott, needed to see how Jake, Eddie, and Tracy were doing. Like Casper, Billy Mays is a friendly ghost, so the Ghostbusters were obliged to honor his request.
As for that comment that CZcams apparently has a problem with letting you post over 2 weeks ago... I do have a few ideas for my next community post (or posts, rather), and you just gave one. I've been focusing on the new Post Modern Thumps, two of which I hope to upload around Veterans Day later this weekend. Hannibal Smith of The A-Team had a way of making a plan come together and trust me: you're gonna how I do that this month. Peace!

Hey, everyone! I remember watching the Real Ghostbusters cartoon show on Saturday mornings when I was around age 11, and I never missed a single episode of the first season, which was the absolute best of the 3. ABC obviously had a hit on their hands once the got the license from DIC to put the show on the air; but DIC squandered the quality of animation and well-written episodes immediately after the 3rd season started. Still, that cartoon, as well as its live action blockbuster movie was compensated for that.
I only saw a few episodes of Filmation's Ghostbusters around the same time the aforementioned Real Ghostbusters aired on ABC, and to prevent any further confusion between the two entirely different series using the same name, the former aired in syndication, whereas the latter obviously aired on Saturday mornings. I remember the theme song to Filmation's Ghostbusters and my sentiments were similar to those of Lydia, Alphonso and Alphard One in that I absolutely loved that song and watched the show just to hear it whenever possible.
Alphard One went a few extra miles when creating the T.R.i.-out of this theme song. This should have been used by the founders of Filmation when the cartoon was put into production at that time in 1985. Having the late Billy Mays make an appearance was completely unexpected, but it was cool nonetheless; I could've envisioned Mays, as a spirit, becoming an ally of Jake, Eddie and Tracy and accompanying them on their missions in many episodes. Let's go, Ghostbusters, alright.
Goota run. I hope everyone will have a great weekend. TTYL

Hi, Alphard One! I'm sorry for being a complete stranger. I haven't signed into my channel for some time. Notifications brought a few of your new videos uploaded recently that warranted my attention, so here I am.
I was born in the same year when both Ghostbusters cartoon series were aired on TV, so my own knowledge either of these is sketchy at best. I managed to become more familiar with the ethos of The Real Ghostbusters after I saw commercials and online ads which advertise the trailer of Ghostbusters Frozen Empire coming to theaters later this year (or next). I look forward to seeing that when it's finally released.
This version of Ghostbusters, created by Filmation, I know little to nothing of, but thankfully Wikipedia got everything sorted out. I love how your take on the cover to this cartoon's theme sounds. It's authentically 1980s, which is a decade that not only one I was born in but I've become very fascinated with as a pre-millenial. I hope all has been well with you, your channel and your subscribers. I'll touch base with you again when time permits it. Take care.

Yo!! Damn, bruh--I've been waiting since, like, 1987 to hear a new take on the Filmation's Ghostbusters theme song, and here it is, sure as the world! As I was reading the description for this, I had fond memories of this cartoon show myself. And I gotta admit, I did the same thing you did--that being, I watched Ghostbusters just to hear its theme song. Both the show's intro and the closing credits. I couldn't get enough of it. Trust and believe I won't get enough of this video either, even now that Halloween is over and done with. ✌️ 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey, thanks, Alphonso! Filmation's Ghostbusters wasn't a bad show at all, even when its potential popularity wasn't up to snuff with the better-known Real Ghostbusters, which was further enhanced by the success of the movie itself and the fact it became a brand name at that time.
Filmation's Ghostbusters had a great toy line and, of course, a theme song that was nearly impossible to forget. This will definitely not be the last theme song of a cartoon series I plan to make a TRI-out of; but Filmation's Ghostbusters will prove to be a very hard act to follow. Peace!

Good morning, sir! I've been a life -long fan of the Real Ghostbusters franchise and I still watch the very first movie, the one that started it all in 1986, on every Halloween night. Although I rarely saw this version of Ghostbusters, it had a downright groovy theme song. You captured the very essence of that song with your unique cover and had me humming the chorus of the song, specifically the part where the characters chant Let's go, Ghoostbusters!
The appearance of Billy Mays was totally unexpected, but it sort of made sense with him being deceased and an angel and for him to appear with the Ghostbusters. There was a lot humor throughout this video and had plenty of Easter eggs to keep it interesting in addition to the extraordinary music you created for it. Gotta go now. Thank you for sharing this and enjoy the remainder of this weekend. Take care.

Hi, sir! On Halloween night, I watched all of the Ghostbusters movies, including the one called Ghostbusters Afterlife on Netflix. It wasn't until I did a CZcams search for the Real Ghostbusters Halloween special, which is animated and based on the Saturday morning cartoon show (my mama loved that show as a kid), that I learned that there were actually two Ghostbusters cartoons. I listened to the theme song to this Ghostbusters show, then I listened to yours, and you hit it out of the park! It had me replaying this so many times that I must have forgotten to answer the door a few times when trick or treaters came to visit. LOL That rarely happens, but that night, as a heard your cover, was an exception. Anyhow, I hope you are having a great weekend and that you had a Happy Halloween this past Tuesday. Take care.

Hey, Alphard One! You really nailed this tune on top of the head with the old nostalgic hammer, guy! I remember Paris's dad coming over to my home to watch this on cable TV after school. Probably the best theme song of a syndicated cartoon that I ever heard back then, and it kind of helped rekindle my interest in soft rock. 😊

Hi, everyone! Excellent cover of a theme to a cartoon I haven't seen before until I looked for it here on YT. ❤ So, there were two completely unrelated Ghostbusters cartoon shows airing on TV at nearly the same times? My Papa was a sophomore in high school when both of them were produced, and I'm familiar more familiar with only The Real Ghostbusters cartoon show that aired on ABC on Saturday morning 3 decades ago. I've seen that on DVD, as well as the recent semi reboot known as Ghostbusters Afterlife.
Watching this piqued my interest in seeing more classic Filmation shows the company made during the 1970s and early 1980s. And I immediately became crazy over this variation remake of the Ghostbusters theme song (not the one based on the movie franchise, though it's a great song and a 1986 Top 10 single). Alphard One and Alphonso truly pulled out all the stops with making this. ❤ They even uploaded it on Halloween which was cool.
I went to visit my Papa at the Superrmax on Halloween and played this for him. He said it sounded much better than the original done by Filmation for the cartoon show. I had to cut my visitation with him short in order for me to go trick or treating with the kids in the neighborhood where my mom and I currently live. I cosplayed as two different characters for this occasion. If any of you would love to know what they were, like and reply to this comment. You can even take a guess if you like. 😊 TTYL

Hey, Paris, I know of one of those characters you dressed up as when you came to the Superrmax to see your dad on Halloween last Tuesday.. Gotta admit that the small handful of inmates who caught a small glance at what you wore had trouble turning away. I ain't saying what you were wearing. I'll let you fill them in. During my sophomore year in high school, I recall your dad dressing up as one of the Real Ghostbusters complete with proto pack and blaring the theme song of the movie in his car, whereas I was Jake Kong of Filmation's Ghostbusters. We both were pretty much dressed to the nines that Halloween night. Those were the days.

Paris wth your good looks, wide bum and ample curves, similar in size to my big sister's (minus the long hair, of course), you must have dressed up as CZcamsr and BBW model Gypssai. Correct?
My adopted son apparently needed no costume on Halloween because somehow he is often mistaken for a certain Canadian superstar rapper that we Phans of Alphard One, Convinced and Converted, have all come to abhor and try to refrain from dropping his name whenever possible. I have his hairstyle that he had in his prime during the early 2010s. It tends to be a hectic Halloween here in Bishop Auckland.

Hi, Paris! I missed out on dressing up as one of my favorite anime characters this past Halloween due to my current enrollment into college, although I did manage to get plenty of candy that evening. I remember receiving a few pairs of edible underwear one Halloween from a client in 2019 while I was an escort, and at that time I was cosplaying as a character from Neon Genesis Evangelion called Asuka Langely in Lolita attire. This past Halloween, some of my fellow college students assumed that I was portraying an anime character because I had blue hair then. Of all the current anime charactersI can rhink of, II guess you cosplayed as Yor Forger from Spy X Spy Family. Or did you stick with that one character called Ochako Uraraka? 😊

Good morning, people, Alphard One! When I first saw the notification that one of the new videos was uploaded on Halloween Oct 31st, 3 weeks ago, I thought that you were going to churn out a cover of the theme song of the other Ghostbusters, that is the ones who came out with a blockbuster movie franchise and a cool theme song to boot. I was about to conclude that the title of the video was somewhat misleading because the name Filmation was added. But no sooner than I saw and heard the first 2 minutes of this, than a wave of nostalgia hit. I knew that two different companies had its own Ghostbusters shows and I had my share of watching both of them during the years 1986 and 1987, but I almost forgotten just how great the theme song to this cartoon sounded. While the number of covers of theme songs from TV shows, movies and such are small enough to be counted on one hand right now, I believe they are just as good as the covers of hip hop songs you've uploaded. This cover video of a classic cartoon series theme song is testament to that. Take care.
