Luther is definitely still Idris Elbas best work and it's not even that widely known even here in the UK. Absolutely criminally underrated actor.
Nah the wire clear
I remember him way back in Ultraviolet.
"....You're at that end, i'm at this end, i'm covered in fuel and you have a lighter...." he said that to let the police know that they were not standing near each other inside the truck, that it was gonna be ok to fire at the Truck to shoot the bad guy at the 'A' between the 'L' and the 'R' without harming Luther...Luther is Smart
This episode was the best in Luther series. The acting of Luther and baddie twins, the taking, the direction and the action sequences were very well done.
I just love the way Luther just casually opens the door to the van and just walks out as if it's just the end of another day's work. There is just something kind of badass about it.
What an EPIC takedown. Luther has always known such great ways to entrap the criminals he's after. Even if his talent seems otherworldly, his solutions are so goddamn smart. He saw the truck, he knew the snipers would be watching, he saw the letters, got himself in to the other side, and made his plan work.
1 month ago to me... good to know I am not the only one watching it 5 years later 😁
What a scene, what an episode, what a show
The scene works so well because it really reinforces how detached from reality the twins have become.
This a grand battle, the end boss of the campaign for him. Something so mundane as it taking place inside a truck doesn't even register for him, let alone the wording on it's sides. He's so immersed in his own world he doesn't even understand what Luther is saying, because what the truck isn't supposed to be part of the story, it breaks the immersion.
this might be the best scene in TV history
You haven't watched much TV then
@@egalitarianism9203 which are the best one then??
@@egalitarianism9203 exactly no reply
Well, the explosives should have detonated by the impact with the bullets though.
Anandh SM Walter whites death
The scottish actor, playing the psychopath twins (Steven Robertson) is a freakish talent.
they're not psychopaths, they're psychotic...i.e they've lost touch with reality.
omg yes
I know what constitutes a psychopath. If they think that they're playing a fantasy role playing game for real, ready to blow themselves up to gain points that's pretty demonstrative that they've lost touch with reality. The genetic predisposition for Psychosis is much more common, hence why both Twins have the same disorder.
I first saw him in the Doctor Who two-parter in Series 9
I thought the same thing or something similar when this first aired!
Series 2 started with Luther gambling his life in Russian Roulette and ends with him tricking the villain into thinking he’s gambling his life again, but instead is in complete control of his life in that moment. That’s why he’s not scared. He’s not playing the game and he’s already made the decision to live. Why series 2 as a whole is so good!
Reminds me how good this show is. I better watch the new episodes already.
Like a Boss
Steven Robertson is criminally (quite literally) underrated as an actor.
Between the "A" & the "R", brilliant script writing
That is my favorite scene. Should have started from when he first entered the trailer. Luther the man without fear.
Easily the best episode
Superb acting from the one and only Idris, and so gorgeous
One day I will have the whole Luther box set and my life will be complete lol
Me to lol
Luther... you neglected to tell Nicholas that his brother loves him :(
I never forgot this Scene!!😄👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This episode so creepy good ...
Absolutely vivid performance by DCI Luther
Luther the only super hero who doesn't need a costume to do his job
He has a costume... That damn jacket.
One of the best scenes of all time, like a 40 degree day!
I think this episode was my favorite, the twins were something else!
Haven’t seen anything like those twin
@@ammarmubashir6568 Man I'm telling ya! Enjoy your day Ammar.
Never forgot this brilliant series. Just bought the complete DVD set for a reasonable price to rebinge.
The boss just looks as Luther kicks the door open as if to say “that’s my boy” love it. Quality program
Luther must like that coat, he wore it in the next episode after dousing it with gasoline.
It's like Batman or Superman's cape. It goes well on him.
This episode stuck with me from the show. Self contained and perfectly paced
Brilliant finale.👏👏
Luther is one of the most fascinatingly flawed detectives EVER, anywhere.
The best episode with an epic ending in the entire Luther series.
All those weirdos who go up against Luther - no matter how sick they are - share one mistake: They always overlook that Luther is just a tad sicker.
probably the best scene in the series
Luther is amazing
So ill loved this joint
Why isn't there more clips from this series any where?!
Like for real it's underrated
Epic
Great writing that scene
Watched this in the hospital after being shot never heard of it before kept me entertained they didn't have much on tv spent a few months there
Is it just me or he would make an amazing Pennywise😂
He reminds me of Moriarty.
Come on December.
Loved Luther
0:58" : Nerdcore tabletop gaming, taken to the extreme!
That Boots Pharmacy just got real busy with insurance claims
I love this show but PBS doesn't show it anymore and I don't have any streaming channel.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤒
I think there must be something wrong with me. What aren't I watching this show already?
i watched the twins 20 times
lost in the mines me too
Did you watch it yet? It's one of my sister's favorite shows. Now, it's actually one of mine too.
‘All episodes of ‘Loofah’ being broadcast on bbc iplayer’ - according to the bbc continuity announcer
like a boss
Maybe the best ending ever.
One of the best ever scenes brilliantly played by both incredible actors-riveting drama at its very best...
Thus should of been the next doctor who 🥲
Fantastic ending to a RIDICULOUS story line.
I was so tense in this scene when it aired.😅
Who's this John Constantine looking dude?
Will we ever have another season !?
Also meant to say this was one of my more favourite acting scenes in Luther which showcased his incredible acting talent
There's a new season in production right now.
MRNAZIZOMBIE11 really !? Is this true :)?
MRNAZIZOMBIE11 such recent news to me ! Thanks so much for the link , I finally have something on the tele box to look forward to :)

Kipton Anthony ...Paul englishby.... Carnage
The best police drama on TV. Luther.
He asks Luther is he scared omg Luther is afraid of nobody.
absolute psycho , brilliant detective
Brilliant scene! My question though, is how does Luther know - from INSIDE the truck - that his enemy is exactly at the letter A, between the L and the R?
He's seen it from the outside and knows how far in it is roughly
"You heard the man"
Hello! what if one of the bullets ignite the dynamite?
HGST not how that works
I'd never heard of this show. I'm here because of another site discussion on bad "woke" entertainment. This is an example of how a show can be "diverse" without being "woke". "The Last Jedi" is awful...the Disney sequel trilogy is awful because who ever wrote it cared so much about being "woke" they forgot to tell a good story.
fascinating
Blown up, obviously
dad
I Love Idris Elba
This series died after Alice :(
I'll believe she's dead when I see the body.
Only been 2 episodes after she left so we'll see after the 5th series comes out this year
Willo she appeared in the sport relief special on the phone to John , she’s still alive
I miss Alice but she came back I was told in the 4th season
@SirTownsy Thanks I miss it so much it's my favorite show ever I hope PBS brings it back.
Are you kidding me ? Why steven always die ?
Luther's such a bad show but this scene rocks
I don’t see how people think it’s bad, I think it’s absolutely brilliant.
@@babiirae729 some people just can’t handle how dark it was
@@harryvideoz8863 No, it's because it's a silly show. Fun, though.
@@winstonmarlowe5254 how is it silly the villains are real people like this do exist we don’t live in wonderland I’m afraid kid
@@harryvideoz8863 If you think this show is at all realistic, you're, uh, not all there, as they say. Sorry bro :/
