for really classy projects I unleash comic sans....
I like to pair that with Papyrus.
Maybe I should do a video and take suggestions on the ten WORST font combinations, haha
ah, I see you're a man of culture as well.
@@tutvid there is no such a thing as 10 worst. there are infinite worst :)))
@@tutvid yeayeah please
I never went to college for anything related to graphic design. Learned it all on my own and I'm glad I did
That's great! I think it takes being on the outside to have that objective look at how schools are not great for many (probably most) of the design students that enroll.
What resources did you take? Quite curious
Same
I love the new way you aproach tutorials, shorter and concise, and you keep attention of people better this way. Keep up the good work! I really admire your work and follow your channel for a some times like 2 years. PS. Lobster 2.0 is one of my favourite fonts :)
Thank you so much, man!
Sir what's the font used in the thumbnail of this video?? Please mention... it would be very helpful
Ahhhhh Nathan man, where were you 7 years ago when I was just starting out? Thank you for imparting and sharing your knowledge with us all. Every tutorial is perfectly produced and simple to follow. You answer the questions just as I think to ask them. I forgot halfway through it was a design tutorial- this was just beautiful to watch! Period! Thank you so much! 8:15 = pure satisfaction!
Rockwell Family is one of my favorites. I usually pair it with itself but with a different weight and size.
I also use Aleo with Coolvetica
Well, it was an absolute amazing video.... Where other designers struggle to give 2-3 (unique) tips, I gotta whole bunch of 10 tips, are definitely gonna help me out in design making. Thank You so much @tutvid

Great video, and thanks for the great tips! My favorite text to work with are usually Helvetica, or sans serif. I also like very bold text like Impact as well.
Thanks for the comment! I used to love Impact, but lately it's just a little too condensed for me :D
Thank You for summarizing all these rules and tips. X-rule very useful - I haven't knew it.

Hi @Kirstyplz, how is your font game presently?
Thought I was the only one 💔
Thanks for great info on font pairing, Most interested part for me is rule 7 , Math to define font size
Strangely, I have a soft spot for *Georgia*
It's my favourite serif font. It's the numbers that drop below the baseline that really cemented it for me. A little quirkiness in a really clean, beautiful font.
Georgia is nice. I dig a little Georgia here and there when it works for me. Quirkiness is good!
That's because the strokes of the numbers that drop below the baseline and the strokes that go above the x height give the appearance of descenders and ascenders in lower case letters.
“Garamond” is the gold standard font for me. It’s clean and professional on screen, yet, still has character, and it’s soft on the eyes, a joy to read, when printed on paper.
I find nothing wrong with your comment. I agree!
Wow thank you very much! it help a lot on my project
Super amazing video sir...

That's really interesting how you used the Fibonacci sequence to figure out the sizing of text. I have never heard that before, but it looks great!
It's a nice little trick!
Praise Worship Yes, it is :)
Thanks for the videos! its really helpful. I would like to know if it's possible, which Mic you are using? is really a good crunchy voice! I would like to buy one to use it for my videos! Thanks, God bless you!
Lato and Arboria is my current go to. I cant explain it but these two just work together.

That's a great question. I'll play around with this and see if I can come up with something good.
i remember the days I used Bebas neue and Universalis, on everything xD

Congratulation on dropping the hottest video on Fonts ever. I think every designer who deals with fonts, from Web, Branding, Architecture etc. will be referencing this video for their whole career.!
"Textual Attraction"… I'm stealing that
what size is good for spacing between p.heading to s.heading or p.heading to body text ??
Dude you are awesome
Thanks a million! 👍
Thank you.
What would be the best combination for Space Grotesk ? I love to use Space Grotesk google font in financial project specially.
best tuts
Thanks, man! 👊
Golden numbers give me more of that wooah . nice content + ( nice intro ) , ""btw intro music please :p """
The video we wanted, and the video we deserved.
Haha, thanks, bro!
Would you use a Script Font casual on the first letter of the name and the rest of the name is in Sans-Serit Font bold?
Fav fonts will have to be 🤤🤤 Baskerville! Didot! Gill sans! Like yassssssss
I’m always torn between comic sans and papyrus. Both are just so good
My two favorite typefaces are Helvetica and Baskerville.
Can't go wrong with the classics!
Josefin is my favorite right now. For that thin classy look.
Oooh, yeah. Josefin is a good one.
Super!
Thanks!
These days my go-to is Optima :-)
All this time, I thought to put Times New Roman on everything solves my problem.
After this video, I do need Arial
Haha. I'm more of a Papyrus guy, myself 😂
I just LIKE the concluding statement: creative minds like to take the road less travelled👍
haha, very nice hand-writing!
Does that x1.618 really help? I mean if you just pick your own size in the end (multiple it more than once) It seems unnecessary.
Besides, a lot of fonts don't follow the same proportion, eg: some font at 30 pt are quite small while some others at the same size are quite big...
i think it's only for the ratio that will looks good on eye
My all-time favorite font is called Niteclub.
Pretty cool. I just looked it up. It's very art deco feeling. Nice!
Helo, in 5th rule what are fonts in the second example, they are both Sans Serif ?
First and merry christmas
My favorite font is Century Gothic
That's such a good one.
I really need the NAME OF THE SONG from the intro. PLS HELP!
That tune is called "Straight Out The Basement 3" and I got it from Epidemic Sound.
tutvid thank you very much:)
GT America is my fave font 😍
Never used this one. Just looked it up and it looks great!
Nice
First! I Did It )))
upd^ tip#7 works! Fibonacci numbers rules.
Thanks for the kind words!
My fvrt font is Helvetica and unisans
Always a good choice!
