I feel like Tom could’ve been a therapist in another life. Always appreciate his logic and level headedness. Disagreeing with somebody is human nature. Doing it civilly is how we show growth
Thanks mate
Although disappointed we are unlikely to win the league this season, I am incredibly proud of where we are. I love our players, our manager and ownership. I feel sorry for those fans who can’t see our progress and the potential in our team. Another great show Tom 👊
No one can blame Ange for the reaction he had. The man realises the place from top to bottom is rotten and he wants to change it. He wants to be a winner, fair play to him. He’s got his work cut out for him.
When I need Arsenal therapy you are my go to guy Tom! 👦 ❤
I'm not upset really cos I still think we have had excellent season Tom!
I'm focusing more what we do in the summer ☀️ transfer window 🪟 & hopefully if we get the pieces we need we'll hav an even better season next year! ❤
Thanks again Tom for all the hard work & time you put in!
We do appreciate 🙏 it! ❤
To me, it was Newcastle away and villa away, where we blatantly robbed, cost us the title, Man Cashie always got helped from VAR, Man Cashie vs Pool, Doku challenge on McCalister
Watching Son not finish that chance reminded me of this entire month of watching Martinelli. You could see his reaction that he wanted to score.
A Spurs fan is the guy driving his Vauxhall 4 door down the motorway and gets cut off by an Aston Martin. He angrily catches up, pulls alongside and shoots the Aston driver the middle finger. His rage and jealousy last all day, it’s all he can think about. The guy in the Aston Martin barely noticed him, laughed a little and has forget about him a minute after the encounter. This loss to City is like “notice me”.
I am not low or depressed , we did ourselves loosing those 2 winnable games on the trot that seems ages ago now & The Aston Villa game sealed our fate , did not switch on until the last 10 minutes & saw the spurs & the Son breakaway must admit thought that’s in the net BUT he just did not look good , my feelings he did not want to score , still who can rely on spurs in general
Hey Tom, I'm a regular Spotify listener. I live in the US, and catching a live show means I'm awake at the wrong time. Loved the episode today. With all the talk of echo chambers and changing opinions, I wanted to share a quote that I wish I could attribute to someone, but I heard it on a radio show years ago, and it has stuck with me. "People change their opinions like they change their clothes, in private." That is to say, most people aren't willing to confront their cognitive dissonance in public, but your points and thoughtful reasoning might encourage them to change their minds in the future.
I love the show. Keep up the good work.
Thanks mate and you’re very true on that
Spurs fans cheering a Man City goal, typical of a club that will always be a pretender. Arsenal should dust themselves down and then go again next season. Look forward to exacting revenge on Spurs when they visit the Emirates. This match has told Ange all he needs to know about the mentality of Spurs and should leave the club for a team that wants to win.
They don’t deserve a serial winner like Ange either. He was absolutely pissed off in the post match
Well said Tom on Turkish he is a genuine bloke and even when he was skeptical he gave his ressons why and was always respectful he has always came across as an intelligent man. I really like him. And he said he doesnt care what people think of him for saying it. There are many fans who could take a leaf out of his book and get some humility it takes a man to admit he was wrong. I was wrong on Kai Havertz and i owe my son 20 quid because he said he will have 20 goal contrabutions this season. I was gutted we didnt go for Szaboslai how wrong i was.
Best way to control our destiny is beat our rivals had we won at City would have meant a 4 point swing and can forget about Spurs or West Ham beating City. Our young team will be that much better next season.
Lol he was brave at the live event,i remember that lol 😂😂 he must of felt all the eyes on him lol,was a great night, cant wait for the next one!!
Morning Tom! I just want to wish Happy Trails to you and my fellow Gooners on this Hump Day!!!
Tom Im super positive and the opposite of depressed this morning. I didn't watch the game neither did I pin any hope on them or Fulham. I had succumbed to second place two weeks ago and its been bliss. Any other hope would have been mental torture for me and I pressed skip like i skip the ads that start after your intro every day
Despite the likely outcome on Sunday, we have to recognise that being reliant on other teams, particularly Spuds, doing is a favour in the latter stages of fixtures isn't the way to win the PL.
Immensely proud of the way our club and this team has progressed in the last two years and as we get ready for next season, add to the squad and go at it again with same conviction.
Thanks Tom for being there throughout the season and enriching our support with your insight with such a "balanced" (😂) view. 👍
The more i think about it the more attractive sesko seems (both physically and as a footballer). His conversion rate of xg into goals is insane, and he has shown he is clinical in his most recent purple patch for sure. And yeah there are similarities with Havertz's profile, in the sense that they're both technically gifted, with understated pace, and height, and great off the ball movement. Would say Havertz has a better first touch, and is more well rounded as a false nine, and as a guardian for donkeys. But then Sesko's finishing and composure in front of goal is something to reckon with. Just has absolute buckets of potential. But yeh pls arsenal we've needed another RW for years, gib RW 🙏
Another really good show. I changed my mind on our owners at one stage I really wanted kse out especially when Daniel Ek put out his statement, however kse have backed the manager to levels we have never seen before the only things I would like to see is a soccer group created and to tour different continents, but they have their own reasons to why they haven't yet and I have to trust those.
Good day Tom. I listen from St. Lucia so watching live is a bit much as it's 3am for me. I want to share my view with you. By the way my name is Jean (french) and no pronounced Gene. Anyway. Last season we didn't bottle it! We just didn't have the defensive depth and the loss of Tomi and Saliba in the same game was the end of our season. However if we did have Partey would would not have had that season either. This season we lost Partey and the potential of Timber. If Partey was fit we would have won this league. I know injuries are inevitable but they are the same for all team. So I am happy with the current team and believe this team can win the league. If Partey stays fit and Timber comes back, don't make any changes keep the back up players, and we will be good. The only player I would move is Eddie and it's not because I feel he isn't good enough but it's because his striker profile doesn't match out current style. I would love an opportunity to come on to a live stream with you.
4pm U.K. time mate we’ll be doing the phone in
Great show as always Tom. Never expected anything from Spurs yesterday but I’d rather focus on how well we’ve done. We took it to the last game of the season which is all I can ask for. Excited for the summer ahead.
Obviously anything is possible but I think it's almost a guarantee that Man U, Chelsea and Spuds can't be as poor as they were this season so I don't think it will require as many points to win next season as more points will be taken from both us and City by the big 6, Liverpool are a bit of a wild card tho
Hats off to Edu for making the awesome decision to nearly double the number of fixtures the ladies will play at The Emirates!! 11 matches on the carpet in 24/25. YES!!!!!
This was pretty much expected. So I was really surprised to see how well spurs started the game, pressing high, creating chances, but they just can't finish their chances. It all depends on the next summer transfer window. If edu & Arteta get the new signings spot on & they click straight away, I don't see why arsenal can't win the pl next season. City has some important players that are now ageing or injury prone players like walker, stones, kdb & their new signings haven't exactly lit up the league...
It's painful weren't winning the league after all the good run. Damn it! It's a lesson again that we need to build a much stronger team, avoid losing to team like Villa at home and stop depending on other teams' results
Dissapointed but very very proud of the boys, we have had a great season and improving every game
We're going to surpass our point total from last year and fall short by a point match city totals from last year and not enough .Marginal gains will become smaller and smaller as we get to the top. We had major injuries at the start of the season, partey, timber, Jesus forced the manager to change his approach to the season so we had to adjust to that plus getting Kai and Declan acclimated into the team yet we still kept pace we had a slight wobble towards December but we took 49/54 points and win Sunday that would be 52/57 points it's crazy but we're going up against the team that has best manager, most expensive team that's the level we have to achieve if pep wasn't there we would have a title
We will win the title.
the best transfer window for me will be to get Isak, Zubimendi/Fofana, Diomande/Hato and Nico. I think it is literally impossible for Newcastle to let go of both Isak and Bruno so I chose Isak over Bruno
City were quaking in their boots when Son got through. But yes, Son and the Tottenham boys gave the win to city
Makes no sense to me how Postecoglu could be so naive as to the nature of rivalry. He’s managed Celtic so the rivalry between our two clubs should seem like a teddy bears’ picnic in comparison. Although I realise the utter tragic weirdness of Tottenham fans would probably be somewhat of a novelty.
I think the fact that he's shocked & angry at spurs fans speaks absolute volumes about them honestly, he does understand rivalry very well & still can't believe how pathetic they're being.
When Jorginho gave Tottenham a free goal at home. That's the one am looking back on
We call city a juggernaught. But they HAD to be a juggernaut to get ahead of us this season. They HAD to go on their longest unbeaten run. What is it, 20 wins in 24 games, soon to be 21 in 25? Thats unreal. But our 20 wins in 22 whatever is has forced them to respond, so we're a juggernaut too
Major trophies and league are inevitable for us,we keep getting better and closer,if not next season then definitely the next one,and then a few after that! Keep the faith we're on the right path, you can save this,if i did a live id say clip it lol 😂
Spurs can't even help themselves much less Arsenal
The bayern atmosphere or the lack of with a full stadium was shocking.
Arteta was warned not to play Kai in midfield. That was successful after the warm weather training. Certainly he changed everything in the game against Aston villa....then...
It didn’t, we should’ve been clear by half time regardless of where Havertz played.
Good morning, Tom!!
So, now we know what its like to be Sp*rs fans…. Glimmers of hope, ultimately ending in disappointment.
What a terribly miserable way to live. We are so blessed to be Gooners!!!
We should not be getting rid of anyone in the squad apart from El neny and Cedric
The team is a year older and wiser. Timber like a new signing. We are on track
100 million for Benjamin
Last night’s result hurt buy it’s life.we have to get up and move on and just be better next season.
My only criticism of Mikel would be not starting Havertz at the 9 vs Aston Villa
As I’ve said, regardless of that we should’ve been clear by half time
@@TheGoonerTalkTV don’t disagree and I give Mikel all the credit he deserves for how he’s built the club. Just disappointing for me looking back at that game now with how well Havertz was playing at 9
I heard a rumour that Part of cities punishment for the 115, they had to throw the spuds match to make the last day of the league more exciting. The spuds were that bad they still managed to lose.😂
As regards the atmosphere at home I think last year the team were far more on the front foot.Arteta realised the team needed to be less gung ho and so the team this year have been more cautious and the tactics of passing sideways and backwards to pull the opposition out of shape can be boring to watch hence the drop off in atmosphere.
And yet we’ve scored more goals
We go again next season
At half time i was thinking what might be, then "BOOM" Spurs veing Spursy. One game to go lets beat Everton. COYG
Hi Tom!
Are they gunning for 115 EPL titles in a row 🤷♂️😜😂🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Will we be able to stop them and if so, how soon ⁉️
COYG, not all is lost, there's always next year...COYG💪‼
And as we've seen cup football on the continent is sooo much different compared to your league form look at how Atalanta dismantled Liverpool at home but they've been subpar in their league. We have to develop two styles of play in Europe and the league or just approaching games differently
Atalanta have been far from sub par in their league I think they will get champions league. But I take your point on the differences between European and English football. Many leagues play twice in nine days during their league plus get a break. When we lost to villa we were coming off a fixture list of five league games and two champions league games in 21 days that's a massive difference.
@@garygriffin3647 they have actually been subpar to be honest they're getting champions League due to Italy European performances they've had 10 league losses this year the most in the top 5 of Italy they just got great run of form at the right time
Never realized till this season how much real estate we really hold over Tottenham fans heads
No one can blame Spurs. The task they faced was tough, city have been incredible this season. Yes they should have scored but people are making way too much of it.
Is it even a case of relying on rivals or just expected them to win a game especially one they usually win. That a rival benefits is incidental its more on them that they don't think their CL challenge is serious enough
You could see even the first goal how keeper alowed that ball to cross pass him no efort also the defender to put no preasure and herling harland score so easly score match fixing but arsenal did expect that i hope spurs dropt out top 4
Vicario is a good keeper. He doesnt come out for crosses - thats why spurs are so vunerable on set pieces. His save against Foden showed no effort? looooooool. stop making excuses
They sealed their spot for Europa League and much less money for their season collapse.
With the attitude spurs had yesterday cheering a goal against their own team in their own home ground !!! It’s no surprise their trophy cabinet is empty and always will Ange is right mentality needs to change
Tom what's your thoughts on the Kronkes now? .
Coyg Gunners4Life
The fact that city celebrated like they have won the title basically acting like West Ham will just roll over. Hopefully West Ham players seeing that will give them extra motivation for them to show city they are not to be disrespected and send moyes out on a high that will be spoken about for years to come if the were to nick a draw
Re the Emi comment, ive never seen Raya score a goal with his face 😮😂
Neway there's no champion league for TopShite? Haha. Coyg Gunners4Life
Hope Newcastle or Chelsea knock them into conference league, would serve them right if Ange walks in the summer. Losing 5 out of the last 6 games is incredible bottling even by their low standards.
X have updated the “for you” algorithm, let’s see if it’s improving
Oh really? Interesting
Arsenal needs extra tough centre back, midfield, right Wide, and centre forward.
Arsenal also need a left and right back also. I think Ben White is going to have off season surgery and we need depth behind Timber at left back.
West Ham should look at trying to win or draw on Sunday. I think if they would be legends if they stopped this mighty Man City team from winning the league on the final day of the season, just as everyone remembers the Arsenal win on the last day of the season in 1988-89. Not saying they would want to win/draw it to help Arsenal, just to get some history for themselves for stopping Man City winning a record breaking 4th title in a row.
Think Ange knows son sabotaged top 4 chances by deliberately missing the chance to score.
I think we’re so hated because clubs and fans got used to us being rubbish and in banter era. Now we’re good again, it’s frustrating fans as a lot of their teams are spending lots and failing year after year. They can’t stand we’re not the banter club anymore
No we hate the arrogance of some of your fan channels and the shownoating over the top celebrations in December with Arteta running around like a clown.
@@TendaiMatambanadzo how are they arrogant?
@@TendaiMatambanadzo every manager runs and celebrates stop being
Pathetic
@coolsam5000 arrogance is in the eye of the beholder.! You obviously do not see it 🙄. Others do and hence enjoy it when they are brought down a peg or too.
We would love just love it if City complete the job and leave in second place.....again.
@@TendaiMatambanadzo everyone enjoys it because there clubs aren’t doing shit
Spurs fans are big club by name but small club in mentality..
BELIVE ME westham will beat Mancity.
ROMERO Should be investigated for match fixing. As they both walked to the tunnel at halftime he whispered something into Haaland's ears ( Go watch it again and don't say it's common with players because this was a must win for spurs). He played soft when he was supposed to tackle Foden leading up to the first goal and intentionally failed to stop the cross from KDB to Haaland to score.
Why is Isak not realistic?
Sesko over groykes? Dont be fouled by the numbers
FA cup is not a major trophy, I would trade 5 FA cups for a premier league.
How old are you mate. Just out of pure curiosity?
@@TheGoonerTalkTV 24 and I don’t have a single bad thing to say about Arteta he is the best thing that has happened to this club but I think finish second two season in a row is a greater achievement than an FA cup.
@@jaygav8290that is absolute tosh there are fans and players who dream of playing or attending a final at Wembley it's the most iconic stadium in football and the fa cup is the most prestigious domestic cup to win in football. Sorry I couldn't disagree more.
@@garygriffin3647 It’s not the 1970s anyone I can guarantee these 20 year olds dream of playing in the champions league not winning a FA cup
How can anyone have a go at Turkish for falling back in love with Arsenal?
We’ve gone from the absolute dregs with Mustafi, Kolasinac and others.. Barely scraping Europa League qualification, to Saliba, Rice, Jesus, Havertz etc and challenging for titles
If ANYONE didn’t fall out of love with Arsenal even in the slightest, during that BS period, they’re lying.
I love the club, but that era was a seriously testing time
There’s a chance he missed to avoid abuse.
Mikel Arteta and Arsenal must win the EPL next season or I can see players looking somewhere else to win trophies
Elsewhere? Where exactly I can't see city come knocking for any of them. So they are all in the next best place to be.
The mentality that our fans are displaying by blaming Tottenham for us potentially missing out on the title is disgraceful & Tottenham like. Tottenham were not wearing Arsenal shirts when we dropped points in the matches that we did. Son was TRYING to score & anybody that doesn’t think he was are letting their Arsenal hat blind them. You do not shoot on target if you are not trying to score. Views from today’s show have been very disappointing. A very good Aston Villa team literally fielded a second team against Manchester City & did not get as much scrutiny from our fans. It’s been a great season but against the juggernaut that Manchester City are, it just was not good enough. That’s on us & not on any other team.
West ham will hold city to a draw on Sunday....Trust me
Tom is like the opposite of Curtis Shaw. Enjoy the rational takes instead of the "Arteta out" crap all the time
Tottenham cheats. What a bunch of professional losers.
Loser mentality from every angle you look.
Why they are destined to be in Arsenals shadow.
Arsenal fans have had a great season. Most of the time it's been exciting, and the footie is the best anywhere. The others are mad with jealousy.
Winning silverwear is not the be and end all of everything.
West Ham get £5 million in add ons if declan rice wins the league...
No they don’t. The £5m has nothing to do with league wins it’s all UCL qualification
Poor performance
What a horrible insight into the head of a Spurs fan no wonder they are always angry what a joke of a team they are.
Spurs don’t win anything I wasn’t upset I knew they wouldn’t win 🤣
Tottenham fans are spineless
I am so concerned why would Arsenal fans depend on other teams….They should have won the villa Games. I keep saying this and I will say it ARSENAL FOOTBALL CLUB will not win the league ever again until they actually change the ownership and Spend big on top class players. How will you win the league by wanting to sign players like Sesko🤷🏽
Weirdest comment on CZcams.
I think you've mistaken our club for Tottenham Hotspurs!
Man city won't win West Ham
