    Great vid, I’m a circulator in Ca. But I was a tech for 20 years. Never used that primary/working table but I love the utility. Nice clean standardized setup thanks for posting.

    Great videos K.Keller :D I am finding them very useful for orthopedics. I am a fairly new CST at the Houston Medical Center with 1 and half year out of school. I have only worked in General, G.U., GYN, Robotics, and some plastics every now and then. I have always wanted to do Ortho and have recently been able to double some cases TKA and THA. I still get a bit confuse switching from different Instrumentation, but am finding your videos very helpful :D Just wanted to say thanks for helping me out with these videos. Thanks and great job !! @Alin Hunt, you should be thankful he took the time.

    Thank you for this opportunity to watch how to set up TKJ. This is my first TKJ in my 30 years in service in this hospital. Your set up is very helpful.

    Cool video (I'm ONLY a patient), don't know how I got here, just watching TKR stuff I guess....glad I came across this AFTER my TKR surgeries though, quite scary seeing all the instruments. Very interesting though!

  • @micahgarrett9700
    @micahgarrett9700 Před 2 lety +1

    As a student I could honestly say this would be a nightmare to set up. Ortho is a whole different ballgame. And techs that say it's like carpentry are absolutely absurd. This looks like a very difficult specialty to learn

    • @opens11
      @opens11 Před rokem

      I hate Ortho, but the thing to remember is; there's a lot of stuff,but you'll only use less than a third of it. Lol. I still hate it though

      Wait until you set up a spine case with 36 sets in 2 tables. That is fun.

      Lol I made that comment two years ago when i was a student. And yes I have set up spine cases with that many trays now.

      These set ups are what the physicians request be available for the cases.
      All bases covered...
      the group group here is not big on going with only what has been templated.

    Hi there. I have a question regards preparing the tibia baseplate. Question is regards keel punch for tibia preparation. You have 2 sizes 1-3 and 4-8 keel punch. If - for example you gonna drop the 4-8 keel punch can you use 1-3 punch for the 4 tibia baseplate preparation? If not why? If this going to be different rotation or change in degree when you place the tibia implantsin place?

    • @wioletas.2246
      @wioletas.2246 Před 2 lety

      I meant just If you can use 1-3 keel punch tower and 1-3 punch for size 4 tibia trial just to mark the tibia stem positioning during preparation? Situation is - you have drop on the floor 4-8 keel punch tower 🤔 cannot find the answer anywhere 😑 could you help please 🙏🙏🙏 or anyone who will be reading this

      Went up and down her set of 6 stairs twice yesterday.
      No worries.. I
      Can’t speak for the facility your going to have your procedure done but most teams are very good at what they do.

    Why aren't you gloved up when touching the instruments and hardware?

    • @melindamurillo4680
      @melindamurillo4680 Před 6 lety

      Kelly Clark it is not a sterile set up. This is something he laid out that is non sterile so the instrumentation and back table can be touched and he could go over everything

    • @DebraWelch
