i got shivers when you broke down the harmonies at 3:30!! its so satisfying to hear them broken apart like that, then together. id b really interested if u did another reaction to the version of this song they did for the opening sequence -- its more orchestral/"epic" and arranged slightly differently, so maybe theres still some meat on the bone for this track

I've never heard of JID before this song, but after watching him sing at MTV live, and his rap has the same cadence as it does in the recorded sound and his voice is exactly the same I have developed some huge amount of respect for him.
He's one of the best rappers out right now

I will say not all rap is like that thankfully, the new single "L'odeur de l'essence" by Orelsan is the first example that comes to my mind of some interesting melodies going on. Idk how good your french is but the beats are fun and work across language barriers!

Considering Imagine Dragons also did what's arguably one of the most iconic League of Legends songs ("Warriors"), it fits OH SO WELL that they made the series' opening.

Surprising video in all honesty. I often see channels like this where they will break down songs but never have I seen it explained in a such a way where you not only analyzed the music itself but its ties and possible metaphors. As someone who loves writing it was a really refreshing take to hear about the meanings behind not only the words but the soundscape itself.

This song is so specific to the character of Jinx/Powder, after watching the series, the music video hits different.

It’s really interesting that you pointed out the two harmonies over the “tell you you’re the greatest…” segment, because the series features two very specific ghosts continually haunting one of the main characters. I imagine a good deal of communication went on between the people working on the show and the band in order to get the final product we’re seeing here.

Great breakdown that pointed out details I would never have been able to pick out like that. I love the section where you did your own vocals to demonstrate what the song was doing and how the different parts came together.

If you want more of great rap that has smart rhymes and great flow, I'd suggest checking out Calliope Mori. I'd begin with Red, just cause it's my favorite, but if you want to see fast rap, you should check out her Roki cover. It's usually a duet, but she sings everything herself

I needed this for a while but now I REALLY need Alex to react to Get Jinxed, since that was really the first step toward what would become Arcane.
Alex reacting to league of legends was not withing my expectations. You should react to other league music videos! The Curse of the Sad Mummy is my personal favourite but there are so so many good ones!
the whole soundtrack was amazing, i hope you'll check out the rest sometime!! what could have been by sting and ray chen was incredible, and i also really loved dynasties and dystopia by denzel curry, gizzle, and bren joy! but while i'm listing those two for real the entire soundtrack really amazed me. love your videos though, always so much fun and so insightful to see you break down music like this!

I had to watch the video three or four times to fully catch what JID was saying he rattles it off so fast! Each time catching more and more. It went from sounding to me like gibberish, to being some of my favorite lines in the song! Such a fantastic song from start to end, and every time I get into it so much that it ending is almost a shock.
I love so much your display of musical language and how sounds translate into ideas. This might be way off your taste and overall field but I'd LOVE to watch you react to Shpongle - I Am You. Probably one of the most complex and layered eletronic tracks I've ever listened to.
