  • This is a compilation of shots I took while shooting in NYC this winter with my new Sony A6700! I enjoyed testing out this new APSC Sony camera in a bunch of different settings. I put the shots together to tell a story about a Day in the Life of a New Yorker in the winter.
    All shots were filmed in 4k, using Sony SLog3, graded in Premiere Pro
    Gear:
    Sony A6700
    Tamron 17-70mm F2x.8
    Sony GM 24mm F1.4
    Song: Fifth Avenue by Phury

    Been really having trouble between the Fuji XS20 and a6700. This video is really helping, thank you.

      Glad it could help. What specifically are you having trouble with?

      @@patflanaganphotography So I can’t decide between which one to buy, I get a discount on both so they’re about the same price. I want the a6700 for the af and low light capabilities, but the built in simulations of the Fuji really make me want to choose them. Overall it’s a tough choice.

      i'm in the same dilemma, did you make a choice yet?

    • @Spigglicious
      @Spigglicious Před 3 měsíci

      @@duamilli not yet, I’m gonna wait till the beginning of May to choose. Honestly if it weren’t for the presets I’d just go a6700 all the way, but from what I’m seeing online $50 a pack for presets that come standard on Fuji’s is insane.

      I’m a Fuji user too (XE-4) so I love both systems! Can’t really go wrong. I do hardly ever use my Xe4 for video however. It’s mostly an everyday carry. Something I like to just have on hand anytime. My set up decision right now is Fuji for fun, travel, hanging with friends and family, and Sony for client work and/or video. Not sure if that would help you or not but that’s how I approach which camera I pick up!

    I appreciate the simple and effective editing of your shots, well done! Quick question, did you need to cleanup noise in post or was it good enough low light right out of camera for those nighttime clips?

    • @patflanaganphotography
      @patflanaganphotography  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thanks! Honestly no the noise was fine and didn’t require noise reduction

    Sony a6700 or a7cii which is better option for vlogging ?

    • @patflanaganphotography
      @patflanaganphotography  Před 2 měsíci

      Don’t have experience with the a7cii! But I would say the 6700 would be great for vlogging paired with a sigma 16 F1.4

  • @justineangelobaranda1379

    Did you experience any overheating issues with a6700 cam?? :)

    I'm looking forward to watching your videos on my Quest 2 VR headset. I know it won't be in 360°, but your video will be enlarged. You should film your videos for VR (360°) headsets.

      Beautifully shot. I'm feeling a little boxed in these days with my a6300 after using Blackmagic 6k's for work for two years, but not sure the a6700 is a worthy upgrade. It seems detail is lost in the highs still. Was this shot in 10bit by chance? Any pros or cons?
      Shooting in raw has really spoiled me in what's possible in post, but the data quantity are several TB's per shoot and I just can't afford that type of storage. Sony's footage was always much easier to stomach in that regard.
