#a6700 @SonyAlphaUniverse - Zábava
Sorry if I missed it but can you load luts into the a6700 like with fx3?
Can’t believe I forgot to add that, but yes you can add luts to the camera. One way is to view the lut in the gamma assist section and the other way actually adds the lut in camera so you won’t need to add it in post. There is also a “log filming” section that films in slog 3 and gives you the Sony rec 709 conversion in the viewer but you would need to still convert that in post.
@@KyleWattsTV oh, pretty cool! Thanks and good video
I want Sony to know I am buying this camera specifically because of this review. Sony cannot make a better advertisement than this.
Wow! Thank you! It’s a pretty incredible camera. Congrats!
@@KyleWattsTValso am going to buy this camera just because of your good explanation.
@@visionstudios6804 thanks! It’s a great camera!
I literally was thinking the same thing he put everything that I wanted to know about this camera I’m sold!!!
@@BooBooFlores1986 glad to have helped! It’s a pretty amazing camera
Finally a video that shows the pictures and results of shooting with the camera is not only talking about it
The most complete review with samples I've seen so far....Really good, thank you!!
Thanks Kyle you made a fantastic video, the best I have seen for the a6700 and I’ve watched so many. Clear and concise for the camera features but most importantly you show actual footage you get from the different lenses - that is what has been missing from the other videos. Now I have a better idea about which lenses are good because for a newb that is equally confusing. I’ve subscribed 👍
I had to comment, this review was so wall done and fantastic. The quality of the photos and videos is breathtaking.
🙏
Hi. Glad I found this video. It made me decide to finally get the a6700. Great review. Thank you! I subscribed. 😊
Great review and nice to see some real world shooting situations. Thanks!
🙏
Been waiting for your review on this!!! Thank you, I’m sold!
Took a while to get my hands on the camera and finish the video
First of your videos I've seen Kyle, and it's a banger! Found it because the a6700/Sigma 18-50/2.8 is what will (now) bring me into the system as a step-up from MFT. Thought about all-in with FF but this absolutely nails what I need and you explained why just brilliantly. Well done, sir. Subscribed.
Amazing review and explanation. Looking forward to buy this camera. There’s no better explanation than this one 🤟
Great video!! Thank you for all the in and outs of this beast camera!! 🔥
Such great content! Can't believe it only gets 2.3K views.
You explain things so well. Had the 6700 for a few months now and havn't shot enough with it. Your video reinspires me
Glad to hear!
Thank Kyle, really good video and idea about my next camera. Happy Thanksgiving!
Great video bro!!! Solid….solid!
Awesome video dude! What a cool trip to! 🤙🏻
Thanks bud! Mexico has such good colors!
Like your style, very informative video and great to see the camera in the way many owners would use it. 5 stars..regards
Your production quality is incredible!
🙏
Great Review Bro ! For sport photography Like Basketball is it good ?
Such a good review and efficient!!! I've been looking at this series for a while to have a second camera in my mix to go with my A74. I think your review pushed me to order... : )
This will pair very well with the a7iv. It’s basically the a7iv in crop or super 35 mode but with better autofocus
Thanks Kyle, you encouraged me to buy the a6700. Yes, I will love it.
It’s such a good camera! Congrats!
Great video I'm sold!!! sold my A6000 yesterday. This is a huge upgrade for me.
Awesome! Yea it’s a pretty big jump
Thank you Kyle for the informative and helpful review on Sony A6700. I'm interested to buy it, hopefully it handles studio fashion shoots well with its max 1/160 second flash sync speed! God bless and good luck!
Great video and great sample footage. If I can give one video editing tip, please place your titles a bit farther from the edges of the screen. When watching on a TV, I couldn’t read your little titles in the corner when you label which lens is used because it was cut off by the edge of the screen. I always give a good margin on titles because it can get cut off depending on the device. Cheers!
Good video, sir. I love your styles.
Thanks!
Great video! Did you edit the photos or are they JPGs straight out of the camera? Colors look amazing!
Small adjustments made highlights/shadows. But nothing crazy with the editing
Great review🎉 would you mind telling me what exact jpeg settings did you use when taking about the color science? @12:21 for example
Thanks Kyle, great video. It really gave me the information I needed to decide if I wanted to purchase the A6700.
Great video! Any issues with overheating or other malfunctions?
I didn’t experience anything. Plus it was super hot there in Mexico and it didn’t have any overheating either
Great job on the video Kyle! Thanks for making it. The 15mm G lens lives on my a6700 (occasionally I will use a 35mm CCTV lens adapted from C-Mount) but I often want something with some zoom. It's down to this lens or the 16-55 G from Sony.
hey bro nice video. what's the font that you use in the thumbnail? just curious
Got both the Sony A7 iv and A6700, both amazing cameras 😊
If you had a good only one, which one would you get?
Great video. I have full frame F4 20-70 sony lens
What do you suggest
Alright this was the one! This was the video that sold me in the a6700 over an a7iv I’m in love
It’s pretty amazing! Plus lenses can be way less expensive from the full frame lenses
Great video and a great review. I have a question, can I use Sandisk extreme pro cards for fotography on this camera ? Thank you!
I haven’t personally tried but I would guess yes you can. The burst settings might require a higher card like a v60 but also not 100% on that
Just got back from Mexico and knew that had to be where you were from the video!
Did you go to the xcaret park?
@@KyleWattsTV Nope, we mostly stayed on the resort and had a wedding to go to. If we had a couple more days we probably would’ve done something like that
Beautiful intro!
Thanks! 🙏
Which sony model is best for wedding photography and videography ?
Hi, I would like to know about the compatibility of the Sony 6700 with the Sony LA-EA 5 adapter. Is autofocus supported on lenses using a screwdriver? For example, as on Sony A7R4.
Which lenses should I get first for daily photoshoots and videography?
Thank you!
Would it be possible for you to check out it's competitor, Fujifilm Xs20? I'm confused between these two and your reviews are just what i need!!
Autofocus on this is better but looks like colors on Fuji straight out of camera are better
Thanks for this video . Features almost perfect but size not so , like a bigger body .....
Amazing video! Where in Mexico is this? I’m interested in staying at this place lol
Playa Del Carmen at the Xcaret Occidental resort
wow. fantastic video. i take it you dont need a flash because it doesnt come with one? you can just adjust the aperture and ISO?
That’s what I do anyways. Plus in an editing station it’s really easy to lift the shadows and brighten photos if needed
Awesome review, what would you recommend as a starter lens for the a6700 primarily photos/videos for traveling (landscapes/portrait).
I would look at the sigma 18-50 f2.8 which I used in this video or the Tamron 17-70mm f2.8. I personally like the Tamron a bit more because it’s a stabilized lens and has a better range but it is a bit more expensive. If you can find some good deals on Sony full frame e mount lenses those will also work on the apsc camera.
@@KyleWattsTV Excellent, thanks so much.
Hello beautiful video really. I wanted to ask you if you used active stabilisation for shooting with sigma 18-55 or if you stabilised in post production?
I was using active stabilization.
Hi could you do a video with that lens and a6700 to compare handheld videos no ibis, ibis, ibis + steadyshot , gyro stabilize and ibis+ gyro?
Nice video! Were you guys using a gimbal for the 18 to 50?
Nope. All hand held
Thanks for the video. At 10:37, did you switch to active stabilization?
That part of the video is on the a6700 with the sigma 18-50 with active turned on.
This is spooky!
Just received my 6700 from SLR Hut. Really impressed!
And today I happened to buy the Sigma 18 - 50 f2.8 lens!!
So your review I saw tonight was perfect.
One thing I will miss is the Panorama photo feature on the 6000 and the 6400.
Can I still do this on the 6700?
Cheers and thank you ! (have subscribed).
The reason a lot of cameras stopped making the panoramic feature is because you can easily stitch multiple photos now in programs like Lightroom
what laptop do you recommend I buy with a budget UNDER 2,500 for this camera? for example, is the MacBook *AIR* M2 okay?
For me the reason for purchasing the 6700 when I already had a 6400 and 6600 was based on the superior focus system and low light improvement. I used it to take hundreds of photos of a local ballet when the focus performance was exemplary even when I was 50 feet distance from the subject.
The new Sony autofocus is so good! I’m really hoping that they add it to all the new Sony cameras. I haven’t used it yet but there’s also a setting in there that’s called face recognition where once it’s activated with your picture it will remember that person and keep them as priority even when in a group of other people
I'm tempted to upgrade from a zv-e10, would you recommend pulling the trigger or should I wait for like the a6800 or something
The a6700 sounds fantastic
That couple be 2-3 years out before we see the a6800. The a6700 is a really good upgrade from the zve10.
Try to make more videos like you made with zv-e10 photography pov.
He is for sure going to be trying to do those. He just got a new Action 4 to help with that 😉
Looks like a big upgrade from the ZVE10 and a6400
Huge upgrade!
awesome looking pictures! did you use any preset on them? if so, care to share? thanks in advance 😊
No presets, just some basic adjustments
Great video. Did you use a gimbal or tripod with a sigma lens to shoot the video? If not, do you rely on the ibis camera and how does it perform when shooting handheld? (Is it possible to rely on it)? Or should I buy a Tamron 17-70 lens that has an optical stabilizer?
No tripod, all handheld in active stabilization. The active is the same as what’s on the a7siii and the fx3. It’s pretty good. The only thing better is the new dynamic stabilization that the zve1 and a9iii has
The Tamron 17-70 and 18-300 optical stabilization is really good . Used on Sonys without IBIS. It is chunkier than the Sigma, but also has a much better range.
I see the sigma as a great option for a casual lens, or portrait lens. But the Tamron 17-70 is a better option if size does not matter.
Also the Sigma zoom rotates opposite than any other zoom, you have to get used to.
I have both zooms. For travel if I had to choose one, definitely the Tamron. I like the Sigma a lot, but the extra range of the Tamron, especially at a wide end and the great stabilization make it a better choice.
I have a Sony HDR x900 video camera, it now has problems with audio, no longer useable for videos on my channel. . And also a Nikon D5100. Both old. And down to one Nikon battery , my spare died and the promaster I bought after that is no good either. So I have been looking for a long time on reviews for various Sony's. Your video is the best I have seen so far to explain what the 6700 can do! Some of what you stated is way over my head. I'm 66.. But you explained well enough that this is the camera for me and my budget! Thank you, Ron.
please tell me 1 best camera for video and vlogging.. sony - under 2200 dollar
Best quality, probably the a6700. Best for budget, the Sony ZV-E10
@@KyleWattsTV thank you , but i want full frame for vlog
Kyle this is one of the best video I have seen on 6700 paired with various lenses.
As a hobbyist, I capture and edit my family vacation videos. But I have been working with mainly smartphone and GoPro cameras. Do you feel its worth getting dedicated camera like 6700 instead of relying on smartphone camera?
Your advice is hugely appreciated!!
I tend to use both when I’m on vacation myself. I use the mirrorless cameras for when I want more professional looking video but use the iPhone when it’s just something I want to capture quickly, and I’m not worried about the quality
@@KyleWattsTV thank you so much for the info. I think I will go for the Sony 6700 paired with the sigma lens 👍
Exactly what I was looking for - what were you filming with at 10:37? I'm looking at this camera for hybrid stuff! Vlogging, YT, webinars, and some travel photography - I think this is it?
It’s a great hybrid camera! On that shot it was the 18-50 lens in standard stabilization.
@@KyleWattsTV appreciate you bro!! amazing video!
Thinking about getting the Sony 16-55mm 2.8 lens for the A6700. I know it's expensive and I could probably do great with the Sigma 18-50mm. Any thoughts on going with Sony lenses for the A6700 and APS-C cameras in general?
That lens is great! It is more expensive but having the 16mm is nice. Another good option is the sigma 16mm f1.4 which is a really fun lens and really good in low light and pairing that with the sigma 18-50
@@KyleWattsTV Thanks for the reply! What kind of music do you work on? Just read your bio. I also do work in music and audio engineering, etc. Did a bunch on LATIN music and now I'm the Worship Experience Director at Christ Journey Church in Coral Gables, FL.
@@JorgeSilvestrini mostly rock/heavy music stuff.
@@KyleWattsTV that’s good! Will look some of your music up.
A6700 and Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 is my go-to combo during the trip. Lighweight, high quality image and vdo, good auto focus. What else I could ask for?
ordrered same setup yesterday )
Great set up!
I'm debating on same setup😊
@@davidpoo66its great combo for crop probably
@@Pharesm I dont do vlog at all. Only do some b-roll on some location. I agree with 75mm is a bit too short for some occasion. I have another 56mm f1.4 for portraits and night photo. Looking to add Viltrox 27mm f1.2 later when they release it for Sony E-mount.
we just purchased this camera. It feels a lot better then our a6400 for video and having IBIS. Being new to editing we found out during setup if you film in 4.2.2 10bit we cant edit on divinci unless you buy the pro version for 450CAD. For everyday use would you recommend shooting in 8bit in S cinetone vs s log 3 and having to add luts to everything? we primarily will be using in the snow
S cinetone or even standard if you don’t want to add luts but if filming in snow conditions, slog3 does help a lot to deal with the highlights. Also I didn’t know that the free version of divinci doesn’t allow 10 bit. What computer are you using?
@@KyleWattsTV we edit on a high end pc computer. If you load 10 bit into divinci non pro version it will only play as an audio file. You have to get the paid 450$ version
@@Just3adventures I was gonna say try Final Cut if you had a Mac, cause it works on there but if your on a pc you can’t use Final Cut.
@@KyleWattsTV thanks for the help Kyle! What v90 card would you recommend ? And would you get a 256 or 2 x 128?
@@Just3adventures I personally use Lexar v90 128gb. You could go 256gb but I like to use 128 incase the card somehow ever goes corrupted, just less to lose.
Hi everyone, im a new sony user from canon, Got my 6700. Ques; anybody knows why sony doesnt have the continuous auto focus when the photo timer is on? the AF-C wont work which i rely on 90% of the time as a solo content creator taking my own moving street photos using my tripod. Its only set on AF-A & results to me being blurred as the subject and the background is sharp when i do walking shots. Is this really sony's feature? How to fix this? Thanks a lot
Hi are you satisfied with the sharpness of the sigma 18-50 on your 6700? Thanks! I might buy this combination
It’s a very sharp lens center to edge. I was actually pretty surprised how good the lens was.
For the vlogging scene did you use the Sony 10-18 lens or the sigma 18-50...I want to get a lens for vlogging and photography what is your opinion on both of these lenses...would I be able to do both with the sigma 18-50 or would I need the 10-18 too? Im just getting into apse cameras and I am thinking of getting this camera, Thank you for your help :) !!!
The 18-50 is what I was using but with a fully out reached arm. It is usable for vlogging but the 10-18 is perfect for vlogging. I have the Sony 10-18 f4 but there are new versions of that lens as well as the tamron 11-20 f2.8 which is pretty nice.
@@KyleWattsTV Thank you for your input :) I look forward to getting a tamron 11-20 f2.8 and their 17-70 f2.8 lens
@@F.elip3 the 17-70 is a really good lens too. Just filmed a photography pov video in NYC with the a6700 and the tamron 17-70 hopefully I’ll have it edited soon
Hi i don't know much about camera and lens but which lens do you prefer for CZcams vlogs?
Is this camera is good vlogging ?
If you’re just starting out I would check out the Sony ZvE-10 and Sonys 10-18mm / Sony 10-20mm or Tamron 11-20 which are perfect vlog lenses.
If you have the budget the a6700 is a big upgrade from that camera, just double the cost
I have the ZVE10, wondering if the sigma 24-70mm f2.8 would work ok with that camera? Thanks for your Greta videos
Yes, it’s a great lens on the zve10. The only thing is it’s a bit front heavy since the lens weighs like 2 pounds.
@@KyleWattsTV thank you!
@jhonnystyles I did a video with the sigma 24-70 and the a6400

Hi Kyle! Did it overheat while you were using it?
Not once. Plus it was very hot when we were there
I have a question for you Kyle, I'm looking for a camera, this will be my first proper camera and I will be teaching myself how to use it. My wife and I recently have twins and the main purpose of the camera will be to capture special moments in picture and video. I don't mind spending a little bit more now but the camera will have to last a few years. What would you suggest?
This would be a great camera for that. It does have some features you probably wouldn’t need but a less expensive version of this camera is the Sony zv-E10 and that is also a solid camera for photo/video
After testing both, which do you prefer a6700 or ZV-E1?
That’s a hard choice. The zve1 is definitely more of a video camera with a lot of the same features, but I cropped 4k 120fps and better in lowlight for sure, but as an all around the a6700 is solid for photo and video. I would probably compare it more to the a7iv.
Is there a better camera than the Fujifilm X-S20 for photography for the same price range? Anyone?
Hi everyone, I just received the a6700 but I can't charge it.... I tried the 1000 smartphone charger but it shows no signs of life.... Can anyone help me?
Dose the a6700 and the Sigma 18-50 work together with the AI autofocus. Like Eye AF.
It dosnt work with my a6500. Disappointing
Got me wanting a 6700 instead of my ZVE10
It’s a pretty big upgrade!
Whats your opinion on the users arent as fortunate and have overheating issues?😮😮😮😮
Can i still record slow motion in 8bit with my regular sd card? If I’m understanding correctly i would need a v90/v60 if i want to record slowmotion in 10bit?
I believe that’s correct. Although I’m not sure if it will do 4k 120 with a standard sd card
Does the Sigma 18-50 have electronic zoom or is it just manual zoom? Thanks.
It’s a manual zoom lens
@@KyleWattsTVThanks for the fast response. Much appreciated. I have the a6500 so not sure I should upgrade to a a6700 or concentrate on better lenses (presently mainly use Sony F1.8, 24mm and use clear image zoom for close-ups.
The only issue I have with this video is that I just bought an A7C and you make me feel bad, even though I carefully thought about all this. 😂
I don't shoot any video at all, thats why I went full frame. Maybe that also had something to do with my a6000 having shitty shaky footage (and not interest in post processing)
When applying LUTs directly in camera, it is not S-LOG though right? But its still normal 10 bit footage?
Edit: there is no way those photos are sooc? - cause you were showcasing the color science
Question for u pal.. Sigma 18-50, Tamron 17-70, Sony 16-55 if you could pick only one?
Tamron 17-70. Better range and have image stabilization. It is bigger and more expensive but worth it.
Good one, Kyle! I just bought an a6700 with an 18-135mm kit lens. I grabbed that lens mainly because of the bundled discount with the camera and the versatility it offers. However, I'm a bit skeptical about its variable f/3.5-5.6 aperture in low light and harsh conditions.
Although, I'm considering getting a separate lens specifically for filming and I'm torn between the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 and the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. Any thoughts?
The sigma 1.4 lenses are pretty awesome. Very sharp and very good in low light. I had the trio at one point. The 18-50 is nice in the focal range but the 2.8 is still pretty useable in low light. Just not as good obviously
I can speak personally about the Sigma 30mm f1.4. That lens is a beast and will get fantastic footage and photos almost no matter the conditions. Id highly recommend it as well as the sigma 16mm f1.4.
Hey dude can you tell me if I could edit a6700 footage on MacBook Air M1??
Should be good. All of the new Mac M chips are more than capable of editing 10 bit and 120fps
Did you try with tamron 17-70mm??
Ot on this trip, but it is one of my favorite apsc lenses for sure
Other reviewers of the Tamron 17-70 have had good results on the Sony a6700 (check out Arthur).
id dumpy my A9 for this.
Ive heard the 6700 doesnt play nicely with tamron lenses, is that true?
I haven’t heard that and it did fine with mine.
I have a a6400
I'm planning on upgrading to a full frame
Any recommendations?
Is video your main use or photography?
@@KyleWattsTV mainly street photography
@@inihao I use and would recommend the a7iv if you want to go full frame.
14:27 can My pc handle 10 bit?
Rtx 4060 8 gb / i5 12400f / 32 gb ddr5 6000 mhz .
it mostly depends on codec used when recording 10 bit footage. Like on my x-h2s, pro res is easily editable. h265 (i forget what the sony equivalent is) and it slows to a crawl. i edit h265 on my macbook since it slices through h265
in a 6700 I noticed that there is no shutter speed of 1/25, 1/50. Is this how it should be or is there a bug in the camera? PAL mode
What mode is the camera in? Video, photo,s&q?
@@KyleWattsTV I checked in any mode. I can put up with it, but to shoot a video in 25 frames, I would need a shutter speed of 1/25 or 1/50
Hi, I hasten to inform you that after tinkering with the camera, these excerpts 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 appeared after all. I didn't understand why they appeared.
I can't decide if I should get this or wait for iPhone 16 pro?
The iPhones are getting pretty good but they always still look like phone cameras to me.
@@KyleWattsTV yes alright. My only concern is whether I’ll get enough use of it to justify the purchase… how much value do they use over time?
@@victorbmadslund it’s definitely a balance between using phones and mirrorless cameras. For me I use my Sony cameras like 90% of the time but I use them for making videos for this channel. Most of the Sony cameras keep their value for awhile. I just recently sold my a6400 for like $800 and that camera was 5 years old

how does that autofocus work if you're a talking head then bring somethig right up to the camera to autofocus for a few seconds then remove it so it's back to you? what setting do you have it?
As long as you are blocking your face it will be a fast change back and forth. I dont believe this camera went with the product showcase that a couple of the other Sony cameras had.
@@KyleWattsTV by product showcase that was another autofocus sony setting?
@@KyleWattsTV if you're on an autofocus setting then tap the screen to change the AF, does that tap override and will follow what you tapped? will it follow the object you tapped? will it stay focused on the spot on the screen? or are both of those true depending on what you set up?
@@GadgetsGearCoffee it’s a setting where if an object gets raised up while your face is in the shot it will disable the face tracking and focus to the object. It worked ok but wasn’t perfect. It was on the Sony the Sony ZV-E10, ZV-1F, ZV-1 ii, and the ZV-E1.
I'm on the fence between this camera and the Sony a7cii.
So am I. I'm still deciding. It simply boils down to whether you want/need full frame resolution to make larger prints, and whether you want/need the additional video modes that the A6700 has that the A7C II doesn't have, such as 4K 60fps without a crop, and even 4K 120fps with very slight crop. I'm still torn, because I already have an A6000 APS-C camera, and I know that I'm not satisfied with the 24 megapixel sensor size for prints, but I also don't want to carry around a noticeably larger and heavier camera body, like the A7IV. For me, I suppose the A7C II will be my next camera, as I really want the full frame advantages, and I don't really care about more than 4K 24fps or 4K 30fps for video. I also only have 1 relatively expensive APS-C lens, my Sony 18-105 F4 G lens, which I could use on the A7C II as far as I know for video, too.
are the photos processed?
Yes basic adjustments in Light Room
is body of this camera weather sealed?
According to Sony, it is weather sealed from rain and dust
@@KyleWattsTV thanks, can you also tell me is it possible to set minimum shutter speed in apprature priority mode?
