2:35 is my favorite. That piece is amazing
I first came across your work about 5 years ago, so right around the time this video came out and I always, always, check back in to see how you are doing and growing, as an artist. Your work never leaves my mind. Thank you for being such an inspiration, Mr. Holloway.
I'm glad to see your video, I like your works and your thoughts, I do relate some of your stories in this video. I'm selfstudy art lover myself and start doing after so many years, because I know this is my passion and gives me the feeling of freedom. Thank you for sharing this. Aref from Amsterdam
Thanks, for sharing your work, studio and words. Wonderfully exciting! I really like the portraits of your mom!
Great Video, I am an artist from Scotland currently doing my Masters degree. Its really interesting to hear how other artists are bridging the gap between studies, residency's and progressing in to their careers. Keep it up! Inspirational stuff :) Sam

Beautiful!
Talented artist and very well spoken young man. Talented beyond your years, keep up the good work Riley!
Alan Capps "well spoken", "articulate" you may want to read up on how this translates when you're talking about people of color. or maybe you already know?
Alan Capps - Why "wouldn't" Mr. Riley be "well spoken?" I think you mean well, Mr. Capps, and proud of this wonderful artist, but are you surprised that he is well spoken or something?
@@tjduprey my comment has nothing to do with his ethnicity. Not all artist are articulate and well spoken. You dont know me and you owe me an apology for assuming that my comment had racist overtones. Why did you assume this, because I am Caucasian?
@@janetbarber6781 You are kidding right? Read my response to TJ.
@@AlanCappsArt No, Alan, I'm not kidding. You completely ignored what TJ Duprey respectfully suggested. Also note in your attempt to explain yourself that you have articulated that 'many artists are not always so well spoken.' Well, Alan, that could be true of anyone in ANY profession. *You still don't even understand our concern, and neither one of us have a problem with you being white, Alan, but it is very likely the reason you don't understand the dilemma here. I do feel you didn't "intend" to insult or offend. You were simply complimenting
Love your style of art. Best wishes for a successful career!
You are so gentle and nice. I like your artwork. With the letters is cool. Work on.
Great work, my man. Congrats!
This. Is. AMAZING!
Amazing work!
Man that is awesome that the Fairmont has an artist in resident, too cool. Dallas is my home town graduated from Thomas Jefferson (located on Walnut Hill) many moons ago. Back in the day when the school had a smoking area, LoL. Should have gone to Booker T. Washington (Arts Magnet High School), oh well. Riley you have a lot of talent and one day your work will be hanging in the DMA among other Museums around the world. Continue working like each painting to the next is a master piece. You have that "IT" quality that's rare. I hope all the best for you and your career as an artist. Here are a few artist I think you might like (you may be familiar w/ some of them?). Jose Parla (shows @ Mary Boone), HVW8 3 artist that do live painting, awesome blend of style, BLU (environmental animation artist) amazing and original on CZcams checkout "Big Bang Boom", and Doze Green. Just a few artist that I'm into that I came across on CZcams. Oh yeah almost forgot David Ellis and Barn Stormers when you have a min checkout "Letter to the President" a cool stop action animation w/ a hiphop jazz track. Peace and all the Best 2U
Fab work😍

Great guy
This guy seems pretty cool. I might have to move to Dallas now. That sounds like an awesome idea for that hotel to do. I wonder if there is anything like that here in Portland. :) I would love that opp.
Amazing work Riley.
Ze Ze Ze lol Portland and Oregon isn’t gray and dullish
Ze Ze Ze kinda. I mean yes it rains a lot but not all the time. There is tons of color and light
Well done.
very cool work
nice work
talented
Inspired
Dope
Cool 🥰
Cool my friend
cool art / cool guy...I enjoyed this video.
Pj Lewis Thanks!
One of my personal pet peeves is words on paintings. As artists I believe with speak through images only, if you want to use words be a poet or express words through poetry. Such beautiful portraits and figures ruined by words. Again this is just my opinion and it's sad that I have to say that so sensitive people who like this style don't take it personally.
Aye Dallas local 🤙
Nice
ok Riley we see you
What The name of the music please!
Great work !
It is in the credits. Smooth Theme by: Teru, When The Sky Turns Blue By: BOCrew
i'm an artist my self im trying to work as an artist
Ah, supportive parents. Nice.
I see a little Basquiat here, but certainly a singular voice.
Where do you see basquiat?
I think people think since there is writing on it (or poetry) people just want to throw Basquait's name in there. Writing = Basquait. But his work is about as similar to Basquait's as it would be to Jackson Pollock's lol
Looks a little bit inspired by Jean-Michel Basquiat. Nice works, tho. Sorry for my bad english.
petar markov Just a bit lol Basquiat was great, but not what I'm aiming for when I paint. Thanks Petar!
petar markov your English is great
I'm glad your not one of those cool cat that want's there art representing the struggle of the black man and the oppression of the white man. I'm not racist but I'm sick and tried of hearing about slavery. Can we talk about why babies laugh at paper or who bit who's finger.
I get what you're saying but for some people the idea that their last name comes from their ancestors master, or that their family is so far behind cause they had to work for no pay making white people rich 140 years ago really hurts. For those people things like that are much more important than why babies laugh. Especially with race issues being so prevalent even today. There's still a lot to be said about it through art.
Lotta Basquiat going on. Needs to purge influence and find his own voice.
I see talent trying too hard.
you dont know Basquiat. this guys work is his own. its amazing.
basquiat without the drugs
plus it is ok to explore things through immitation
Basquiat could draw. when people dont know about something the should not talk.
when you state something as fact its not an opinion. if you're going to say he couldn't draw then do your research before you say something like it. alot of graffiti artist can draw btw.
