  • Is this Homedics Humidifier from Costco worth it? In this video we unbox & review the humidifier to help you decide if this is the right purchase for you.
My wife wanted this Homedics Humidifier for the longest time, but I was never sold on it. She finally got her wish when she got it as a Christmas gift from our family who purchased it at Costco. This is our first humidifier we've ever owned. Watch our video to see our reaction after using it for 2 weeks!

I had a semi bad nosebleed last week. I never have nosebleeds.
Anyway my doctor recommended a cool mist humidifier. I got it,used it one night, and by the next morning my nosebleed was 99% gone.
I have the Crane Drop and I'll never be without it. 💗

Thank you for your video. You did a great job of explaining exactly what a humidifier is for, as well as explaining the features of your humidifier. I found a model almost exactly like that (but with rounded top twin tanks) by a dumpster recently. It was left out in the rain. Therefore I heat dried it, waited at least 24 hours, and then plugged it into a GFCI outlet. I’m testing it out right now. It seems to work, though the “CLEAN” light is on. Fortunately there’s another video that gives instructions on how to clean it. I have not figured out how to get it to display the humidity percentage yet. No matter. I’ll see if I can find a manual for it online. I have not decided whether or not to keep it or to donate it to Goodwill as I live in a place that needs a lot of DE-humidification (I have three dehumidifiers in my condo). But who knows, I might need it if I get a cold again.

Does the bacteria killing lamp only work if. It’s set to hot? The instructions are vague in this

Hi CostcoZaddy, great review. Does the vapor feed from both tanks simultaneously?

I believe it uses one tank first, and then moves on to the other tank.

What does the CO mean? I think it is an option in the timer setting. Continuous? Cool mist?

Tap water or distilled water? Also, do you keep the blue capsules in the tank at all times?

We use tap water! Yeah, the blue capsules are kept in the tank.

I loved mine but it died after only three years. I kept it clean, followed all the manufacturer's instructions, but first the control panel started getting wonky and I had to give up on it when it began growling and shutting itself off. 😮

No mist comes out whenever I set the humidity levels to 35%-55%. It only blows when it’s on CO. My room is superduper dry, so I was wondering if there was another button I needed to press to activate the mist.
