My grandfather was a Lutheran pastor, and spent several decades in the ministry. This was sung at the closing of his memorial service as we, the family, and some 30 members of the clergy processed out. At least a few of those clergy had been baptized, confirmed, and encouraged to go to seminary, and later mentored by him. this song always makes me tear up now.
We have sung The Kontakion by Robert Lang at our All Saints Service since 2012, and it is one of my favorite pieces of all time. We do it with bells and piano, and this year a small children's choir.
This is the Kontakian for the dead. It is used in an Eastern Orthodox funeral servant. This is not an arrangement I have heard before. It was sung at Prince Phillip's funeral.

Would you mind using the full title and giving the composer credit in the notes? "The Kontakion," by Rupert Lang.
Done. Thanks!
