I watched your video on Edinburgh and enjoyed it immensely. Nice to hear the Canadian accents :) There are too many nice places to visit in the world and I have visited many in my 50 years. I love Turkey as well Sam and Costa Rica, Iceland and Sweden are also on my list. I decided to emigrate from England to Canada 10 years ago and that allowed me to visit lots of places in North America and Central America. Travel while you are still young and able. That is my advice to anyone. Don't put it off!!! Oh, I am travelling to Northern England, back to my roots in Durham and Newcastle this summer with my Canadian girlfriend and we are staying over in Edinburgh with it being so close and a beautiful city. A new experience for her. Can't wait. Good luck to you both in your future travels xox
I just found you guys a couple of days ago while looking up travel videos for an upcoming trip. Can't stop watching anymore. You're definetely the nicest travel vloggers out there! You should come to little Luxembourg for a day while travelling around Germany or France! :)
Because We Camp thank you! Sometimes it is shocking how bad a reputation street food has and for no good reason. At least what you see the cooking process and decide whether or not you would like to eat there versus a restaurant where everything is done behind a closed kitchen.
Samuel & Audrey Exactly! We visited home in October and we were really surprised at how many people kept asking us if we got sick from eating street food (and of course, also what our biggest mishap was...). Not sure where people get the idea that eating at a restaurant catering to foreigners is a better idea than finding a stall on the street packed with locals... not to mention the fun cultural experience of eating at one. On another note, did either of you have a TEFL cert before going to Korea? We're toying with the idea of teaching for a while to prolong our travels. Emil K. told us that he was able to teach in Taiwan w/o a cert, but I was curious about Korea as well. Thanks!
Because We Camp Great points! In addition, you save a lot of money over time if you eat street versus meals at touristy restaurants. Indeed, It sure is fun and it is definitely an immersive cultural experience. If you just want to teach at a private academy (hagwons) just a degree in anything is fine; however, a TEFL will give you a better chance of landing a job and will often bump you up on the pay scale. It's definitely worth considering doing if you plan to teach for a year or more.

Les mando un saludo muy afectuoso desde San Luis, Argentina y les deseo lo mejor a Uds y sus familias. Si vuelven a Argentina y quieren conocer mi provincia serán muy bienvenidos!! Bendiciones!!

Do you guys get sponsored for doing travel and videos? If you do, how do you recruit and receive sponsors? What so I need to do if I want to teach ESL at another country? Do I need to apply citizenship for teaching ESL? Do I need to pay taxes at other country's for all income? Is it easy to get around with public transportation with a language barrier?
Thank you! Those are some great questions: 1) We just started shortly after meeting each other. We didn't know what we were doing to be honest. 2) Most of the time we self-fund our travels but occasionally we get sponsored. We are contacted for those. 3) It depends on which country but usually a degree and tefl 4) No, you'll just receive a one year work visa which can be renewed 5) Yes, but your employer will have that come out of your paycheck every month 6) Metro systems tend to be easier but not always with local buses so it is good to have Google Maps open to track where you are going

@@samuelandaudrey on top of not being able to find wifi in China, there's also the great firewall of China, which prevents people from accessing certain websites.

I'd love to see you guys traveling around Japan and trying out the local foods and interests. I'm going back next March myself and can't wait.

***** a good way to find places in the countries you are visiting is by looking them up online on sites like Agoda and Booking dot com and Trip Advisor. If you find a place you like sometimes you can contact them directly as opposed to booking through one of those sites for an even better price. Another option is to just show up. I've never had any issues in any of those three countries just arriving and checking out a few places on foot before deciding where to stay.
I was also wondering about how such young people like yourselves can afford to travel so much. But actually, the only one that I found strange was when you said you went to South Africa then two years later went to Cape Town. No one does that, except maybe Anthony Bourdain. South Africa is far from Canada and airline tickets are too expensive to be doing so many trips there, especially with all the other places you guys travel to. For most that's a once in a lifetime trip. So the South Africa one was the only one I found strange. But anyways, you guys should visit the Caribbean if you haven't already.
Thanks! That is a really good question. To be honest we're not in any way rich. We work online and spend all of it on travel. We've become frugal and can kind of hack the system of a newly visited country by trying best to cut costs and live more locally as opposed to like tourists. In terms of South Africa our return trip was a work project so it was sponsored by the company we were making content for.
hi you guys I AM thankful for your info: in your vids, my daughter Sophia, grandson Georgio who is 2 1/2 and I want to spend the wintr in Thailand , we live in England and the winters are so depressing, I AM from new Jersey and lived in Calif, for 10 years befour moving to the U.K.where I had my girls and we redid a deralect cottage and built on a extention. We have done a bit of travling acrossed America, Mexico, Marocco, Europe, I back packed all over Europe, Marocco, Tuekey, when Sophia was 2 years old so we will be cool with Georgio, What I would like to know is what Island and mainland area is the quiet, nature, less torists, more locals, no or less partying , I have nothing against partying I have done plenty in my days going up and down the east and west coast to all the spring & summer Festables that we always got in free. oh those were the days lol any way we are on a budget, and have 2 months I also want to pop over to Veitnam to . Can you please give us an idea where is the most siutable area for us cheers I LOVE your street food vids in Thailand yum yum their food looks soooo good. also can you say how to make money on you tube. I have a channel to that would be helpful to know for I AM retired now but young and strong Thanks Melissa, Sophia & Georgio PRO-PEACE
I have a question that I've been wanting to ask for a really long time: Is it possible to be an English teacher in Korea without a typical "foreign" face. I am Asian (Chinese) American and have lived in the US since elementary school, so I'm fluent in English. Will I have any disadvantages? If there are, what are they ( in terms of being hired ) ?
Your main gear to capture your videos is Sony A77. I also used that but felt its video quality was so bad. Any plan to upgrade to a better one? Any plan to come to Korea agan?
Hey I have a question! Why does Audrey (love that name) talk with her teeth clinched? My neighbor got lockjaw from a rusty nail and he talks like that, only worse. Samuel's a guy I'd like to take to Yangshuo next time I go.
Thank you! Ah, we actually visited just once but we released our first food video before running the rest of the series. We loved Taiwan. The best night markets so far on our trip and I would say the best value for what you spend in terms of money for quality of food. I think Taipei is a foodie city we'd rank with the likes of Lima. People willing to line up for food and gourmet quality without having to spend a fortune.
If you think Taiwan offers great value, you will love Brasil with the best pastels & street markets where oranges are sold by the dozen & not by weight, which was a huge shock after moving to North America. One day I hope you will produce an updated 2017 Canadian show"English Teachers" in Korea instead of Taiwan. Unsure if you remember that cable show.
You are missing out the most amazing country in the world, megadiverse, 10k years old culture, the 6th most visited country in 2017, and with the #1 food UNESCO heritage award: Mexico
I just love your videos. I am also an aspiring long term traveller :) Only one question i have, How much money one needs a month to have a travellers life. Like I have a business which I wish to come out of in maybe 3 years from now but if I keep on travelling, How would I survive. I mean I have a family to take care of. My income is 70,000 $/Year. But what if I stop earning?
I love y'all's videos. Especially of Vietnam 'cause I'm going there in March. This will be my second trip to Asia with my first trip being just over a year ago. At 51 years old, I finally decided to get myself there. I was nervous about being alone and far from home (USA) but I found it to be very easy to travel in Thailand. I not once got sick either. I ate mostly Street Food and it was heavenly. I too went to Chiang Mai. I'm glad my train didn't derail in a dark tunnel. Yikes. Y'all are the best on CZcams I think. Here's my Chiang Mai video. Thank so much.

The obvious question: Is B/W vid an effort to save money for more travel...:-)
Ledzz Go LOL, sounds like something we'd do for sure ;)

I have a question that I've been wanting to ask for a really long time: Is it possible to be an English teacher in Korea without a typical "foreign" face. I am Asian (Chinese) American and have lived in the US since elementary school, so I'm fluent in English. Will I have any disadvantages? If there are, what are they ( in terms of being hired ) ?
001xCHOCO You shouldn't have any problems at all. I've met foreign teachers in Korea from a wide variety of backgrounds.
Your main gear to capture your videos is Sony A77.
I also used that but felt its video quality was so bad.
Any plan to upgrade to a better one?
Any plan to come to Korea agan?
Goldpen09 Thanks! I hope we can come again soon. We're aiming for next spring :)
Samuel & Audrey I'm living in YongIn. Hope to meet you when you come to Korea
Now it makes sense why your videos are behind. You guys actually worked and not full time youtubers
Thank you! We do other things online besides CZcams but it is a big part of our focus.
❤️
+Shruthi Reddy Thanks! :)
The amount that you mentioned is for per person or for a couple?
Jiten Bhatia It is for us as a couple :)
Hi guys! When are you planning to have a baby?
No plans to announce as of now :)
and how much money do u spend in a month on an average while on travel?
Jiten Bhatia It depends on what part of the world we are traveling in. In terms of USD roughly $1500-2000 in SE Asia and $2250-2500 in Europe.
Hey I have a question! Why does Audrey (love that name) talk with her teeth clinched? My neighbor got lockjaw from a rusty nail and he talks like that, only worse.
Samuel's a guy I'd like to take to Yangshuo next time I go.
20alphabet hahaha...good question. No idea why she does that. Oh, we'd gladly go back to Yangshuo :)
Samuel & Audrey
Okay, you're on. Just bring some Finnish licorice and we'll call it even... especially the chocolate licorice.
Are you both from America?
Oooh...good guess. We're from Canada.
Great FAQ, as a new subcriber, where does Taiwan rank on your top 3 list? Given you just visted last year and I see you are back there again. Cheers!

Where in Canada are you from?
We're from BC and Ontario.
Audrey, what is your heritage?
She's half Argentinian and Peruvian born in Canada.
Is she fluent in Spanish? Will you guys be doing a video in Argentina?
@@meimackleer2461 Audrey is fluent in Spanish.
I think I remember she said that her ancestors immigrated to Peru from Germany a long time ago.
Jiten Bhatia I think the best bet would be to find a way to continue earning while you travel.
Thank so much.
swampzoid thank you very much! Great to hear about your adventures. Many people initially feel scared to travel abroad; however, the big secret is that adventure awaits those willing to step out of their comfort zone. Also, thanks for sharing the video :)
