Take a moment and appreciate the Atharva's character. He's gem of a character with all those innocence, intelligence, humour.
He's the child every parent would want, equally supportive to both his parents (remember when Srikant was leaving he was the only one for see off, and when Suchi asked him and Dhriti to accompany her to family day at her office and Dhriti being elder rejected on face, it was Atharva again who agreed to join Suchi).

There’s something I don’t see many talking about. This season shows us how people responsible for wars and conflict as such remain unscathed while it’s the soldiers who suffer. Soldiers like Milind lost their lives, JK was shot and nearly died, Srikant’s daughter was kidnapped, but PM Basu and Sambit are completely safe.

The other thing I really really really liked about the series was the portrayal of women. Non of them were shown as weak or lazy. The way Priyamani gives is back to Manoj Bajpai that he was just doing what a father is expected to do that shouldn’t expect an award for it. Samatha was of course the only one who could complete their mission. Umayal being a badass. And the best of them all Dhrithi, who manages to stay alive before her father could find her.

While Srikant is working hard to save the nation, she has to deal with every single house hold problem, be it big or small. she does not have any emotional support, and she can't get hold of her husband when ever she wants to have a discussion. This still does not give her license to cheat on her husband because that is how defense job is, these people are putting their lives in danger so that everyone else including their family is safe. What we saw was an outburst from the emotional baggage she was carrying within. So yes, she is at fault, but she is not the bad person, in-fact you cannot judge anyone in this series right or wrong.

We can see her growth in the industry; in the start of her career she only did films that had beautiful and female centered characters in Telugu and Tamil but she deviated a little towards the middle of her career but in the past 2-3 years, she’s made a wonderful comeback.

One of the soaring points I found in the action scenes is that TASC agents and cops do not seem to have bullet proof jackets. I can understand that in many scenes combat started unexpectedly so they didn't find the time for it. But shootout with Sajid and the final shootout were fully expected and many people could have been saved if they had BPJs. I know that I am being a bit picky but after revisiting it I found it a bit surprising. Although the action scenes are extremely well done. There’s no money in healthy people and there is no money is dead people, there is only money in sick people. Whether her marriage is fixed or they get divorced in both this cases he’ll just loose his client either way as the problem is gone.

I really fell in love with the scene where Raji spoke to the lady inspector during an interrogation and said - if women starts talking, half of the men would be behind the bars.
Samantha in one of her interviews told that she doesn't consider Raji as the antagonist. While I completely oppose the activities of these people, I think the trauma these people went through, be it Moosa or Raji, it actually kills the inner soul and then the difference between good and evil, right and wrong demolishes! So yes, I agree with Samantha here! You really can't define who is actually an antagonist here.

It really depends on the point of view of the a person. For Britishers, Bhagat Singh was a terrorist. But for us Indians, he is a martyr. A hero. Our Independence warrior. You can pretty much understand why villagers in Naxalite areas support Naxalites. They are heroes for them.

What I like about 'The Family Man' series, is that generally the antagonists have a compelling backstory which led them to take this path of violence rather than just be bloodthirsty evil. Be it Moosa or Sajid or Raji. Also they have shown that conflicts are generally due to power politics which devastates life all around. Kashmir and Tamil Nadu were shown beautifully in both seasons. I hope they show Northeast India in the next season.
