Setting up a Cheap Squire Mustang | Can it sound good?

bought this baby blue squire blue mustang in a bulk deal and it's action and intonation were fully off and barely playable. Beyond giving it a full clean, setup, and some love all around, I also got around to adding an orange drop capacitor to the tone knob and it greatly improved the pickup performance.
If you have one of these squire mustangs, I highly recommend upgrading that or having a tech do it for cheap! easy way to get some more tone out of a cheap but okay playing guitar.
