I've been testing out variations of "have a nice day" and "hope things get better from here" (all of which I do actually mean genuinely) as a way to encourage people I see throughout the day who look like they need or want some human interaction. It's gotten a surprisingly positive response from most people and so far I haven't had any completely miserable failures. You might give it a try as a pretty small way that you can be helpful by brightening someone's day. ☀️

One time at school a preschooler knocked over a plant, getting dirt everywhere. I got a broom, he wanted to sweep, then while sweeping he ended up knocking over a vase and breaking it 😂 Thankfully he didn't get hurt. I told him "your not in trouble, it was just an accident, I'll finish cleaning it up for you" before he could make it any worse lol
This happened to me yesterday. Loading a mattress into a van for my brother and a rando shows up and is like "you want help?" - without saying yes he was helping my brother push whilst i was guiding - goes straight into my head and busts my prescription sunglasses. I'm standin there teying to bend everything back to shape so i can at least tey and wear it, i look up and i see the blurry image of the guy looking over his shoulder, giving a smile and a thumbs up. Yea cheers buddy 😂😅 (heart was in the right place tho)
