      People are ignorant don't read and therefore they're stupid this is an awesome car I've owned it since 2016 and I absolutely love it and I have an M3 and a 335i convertible this one the ladder one is modified with no pollution is puts out 400 horsepower for sure to the to the rear wheels but I love my 328 GT xDrive it's completely stock and I'm thinking of lowering it because that is the one thing that it needs and then everything is going to come together seamlessly if you have the suspension intact only about 2 in let's say would be perfect because it's so high off the ground to begin with

It makes perfect sense to give ppl more choices. And this is definitely not the ugliest car bmw ever build...

    To paraphrase: "It is a cross between a wagon, crossover, and a sedan."
    That would be a hatchback.
    It goes to show how silly we are in America when the general car buying public turns its collective nose up at wagons, yet we have an insatiable appetite for tall wagons because they are called crossovers. Luxury brands like BMW build what is literally a hatchback and call it a GT. A GT car is much, much difference except in the case of the Ferrari FF.

    It should be optional to get the 3-series as a long wheelbase wagon. That would be a very useful car. Also, we should be able to get the wagon in 335 form. Why won't they give us the best toys? Audi does the same thing. No S or RS wagons.

    • @neddy781
      @neddy781 Před 10 lety +3

      Agreed. The M3 in wagon form as well, pretty sure that will never happen. I know this will be unpopular with some, but I wish they would offer some of their M cars with X-drive. I've heard rumors about that, but that's all they were. Nice review.

    • @tommy605
      @tommy605 Před 10 lety

      nick p
      There would be a very small group of buyers for such a car (am M3 wagon) to make it a profitable production idea. As for making the M cars with X-drive, sure, there'd be more people interested in that than a wagon, but then you take a great predictable handling car, and turn it into unbalance machine like the Audi's, and that's not what the M cars are about.
      However, I will bet that within a few years, we will see things like the M135 hatch be available in X drive, which will the testing ground for introducing a full M x drive model. But that would be strictly for those who do not drive or want the current M models but for those who would consider an Audi because of the AWD. There;s no real need for an AWD drive unless you're driving in snow for 6-10 months of the year. the RWD car will always out perform the (a similar) AWD on a track, but most don't track their cars. Boils down to what they think will sell, and clearly, not enough noise from those who want an X drive M3. Hell, the noise from complaints changing the M3 coupe to M4 wasn't enough to make them change their mind, so what chance does a vastly smaller group of people who want the X drive on an M car have? I'd say slim and none.

    • @neddy781
      @neddy781 Před 10 lety

      tommy605 I agree with your point. That being said BMW wouldn't hurt anything but enthusiasts ego's. I understand and appreciate the rwd BMW(I drive one myself), and I would really like a new M3, in a couple years. That being said I live in Colorado, even though we have relatively mild winters I wouldn't chose an M3 because of the rwd. I disagree with your assessment of who would and wouldn't be interested, but that's just an opinion.

    • @goatmonkey2112
      @goatmonkey2112 Před 10 lety +1

      I think we're on the edge of a comeback for the sport-wagon. The giant SUV of a few years ago is currently being replaced by smaller crossovers. Eventually people will start to realize that most of the crossovers look kinda dorky and never go off-road anyway. That is when the sport-wagon returns.
      I would be happy enough if BMW would just offer the 335i wagon instead of just the 328i wagon. A M3 wagon would be awesome, but it's going to take some baby steps to get there, and the 335i wagon should be the first step.
      I do really like that Porsche Macan though. That car could make crossovers stick around for a while and throw a wrench in this whole wagon idea.

    So BMW change 3 series coupe to a 4 series even though they have been making 3 series coupe's for many years, then they make a new car that's only loosely based on a 3 series and call it a 3 series GT?

    • @andrea_927
      @andrea_927 Před 10 lety

      Yes, they did. That's a quite clear marketing based statement: changing the name of the coupe means that BMW wants to tell you "this is a true sports car, not a coupe based on a compact sedan", even though we all know the truth. While using the name "3" for the GT means "yes, you buyer of the 3-Series, if you're interested in our compact sedan, you might even wanna look out for our new super spacious version of the same car", even though the car's not exactly the same. Anyway, this 3 GT is still based on a 3-Series sedan, but it's the extended wheelbase version of it, available only for Chinese market. So it's not that loosely based on the 3 Series, it's just based on its longer version.

    I do not get the point of the GT. Why not just get the 3 series wagon? Yes, most people in the U.S. think they are ugly, but I think the GT looks worse. The GT looks worse, holds less cargo, weighs more, and probably is not as fast compared to the 3 series wagon.

    • @BassRacerx
      @BassRacerx Před 10 lety +1

      if you watched the video the gt has more front and rear legroom a taller driving position, and more hip/shoulder room. in fact the 3gt has more space in the rear than the standard wheelbase 7 series. so the GT is more for hauling people and the wagon would be more for hauling stuff. if you like large vehicles you can get the 3GT for less than a E class,5 series and still have a big car. I look at the GT cars as if you made the bmws a better car but less sporty

      Yessir. It has more rear legroom than a standard wheelbase 7. 5" less than an extended wheelbase one. Drives better too. I just traded my 750Li for a 335GT.

    Call it what it is...it's a hatchback! Period. Plain and simple. Hatchbacks are not cool. Doesn't matter if they are blinged out with a 2014 BMW logo or a 1982 Mazda GLC. Lame. If you are going to buy a BMW then commit to either a sedan or wagon or X-over. Or go with the Prius or that really, really ugly hatchback thing that Honda makes. A true hatchback for hatchback lovers. Wheezy, ugly, but practical...

    Not my idea of a vehicle that belongs in the BMW line up, do not like much about this Chinese built 3 series morph, crappy, should be discontinued. Looks like BMW is going downwards like mercedes with C then B.....down, way down.

      The 3GT's built at the Dingolfing plant in the heart of Bavaria, at least for the NA market. Searching for any reason to dislike it perhaps?
