As far as vocals the mic makes the difference. I use a Sennheiser e935….excellent results to my ear. I have a background in live sound reenforcement. The mic is currently $200, worth every penny for your application in my opinion.

Think this is the most recent review of this amp. Thanks💪🇵🇭

I own this amp and generally agree with your comments. I have not experienced the hum you describe. I use the LR Baggs Align Session pedal to add some studio type compression and presence. I also use a Strymon Flint reverb/tremolo pedal because I don't like the Loudbox reverb or chorus. I didn't buy the Flint to use with this, I already had it to use with my electric guitars. Interesting that you turn the bass all the way down. In another vid I watched on this amp, that person said he turns the mids all the way down. I tried that an quite like it. I think that shows that this amp can be adjusted to individual taste to suit your guitar. Lastly, a better mic will make a big difference.

My name is Jordan and am thinking of buying one of these. there's one in in my area for 350 and just watching reviews. I am just a solo singer songwriter and was hoping this would do well for small gigs. maybe even medium sized gigs. I play a seagull dreadnought.
    Cheers, thanks for the video.

I think it could be a good investment!

Did you do it? I play a seagull concert through my mini. It sounds really nice. And it's recently loud too.

@@alanmcdonald7390 I sure did! VEry happy with the purchase and the deal I got on it. I have used it for 2 week long tours so far and has been great. The XLR out feature is fantastic when there is no sound tech. The reverbs are good though I use a Keely Caverns pedal. The vocal channel imo is pretty good but as I have read, there is something to be desired on that front. Overall very pleased despite my experience with Fishman Pups.

I see Godin also has a similar acoustic amp now. Looks interesting.

I’m looking at this vs the Blackstar Sonnet 120 (with a bigger speaker and twice the wattage). It’s the same price (350-400). I’m thinking the Sonnet might sound better at similar volumes.

Can the guitar volume and a backtrack playing off the BT channel volume be separated with the guitar volume louder?

Can you play backing tracks through it?

  • @joetechmatrixemail2920

Can you link 2 of them together. DI out to another amp? Create a stereo effect?

I’m gonna say yes. But the amp had two inputs. One is 1/4 inch (guitar) the other is xlr. I’m curious.

Thanks for the reviews, I’ve been wanting to get one of these for a while now. Nobody makes it very clear if this model vs the loudbox mini charge needs to be plugged in to use or How long it lasts for if it charges. I may have missed it if it was in there, but do you know those details?

Thanks! This amp is not battery powered but it does come with a 7’ cord. I don’t usually even need and extension chord when I use it.

It’s not a complete review if you don’t sing.
