For being a Skyline its surprisingly underrated.
There isn’t a single person in my town who I’ve met that knows what an R30 is, and they’re all JDM fanboys. Super underrated car
I love this model though I have never seen one in person - as they are more than rare here in Europe.

You'd be surprised at the amount of cool jdm stuff that flies under the radar. Let's keep it that way. I bought a 1JZ for $1800 shipped to my door. Now you can't even get a longblock for that price.
Just a little tip, the dr30 was specifically built to race in In an Australian race called Bathurst won 4 years in a row

Drove a near new dr 30 back in the 80s with the 2.4 litre, loved it, have now moved up 1 series to an R31 GTS.
I had a couple of these in the late 80s and early 90s. They were cool back in the day. Also had S-110 Silvia non turbo RS

You got a beauty! Do you know why there are some R30s have bigger grills? Is that another trim level or option?
The older r30 skylines had a bigger grill, the newer ones have the hood sloping down which got the nickname iron mask.@@giansdiecasts

I used to have an R31, R32 gtst, R33 gtst and R32 GTR. It's been 10 years since i last owned a skyline. But i always wanted a DR30... one day...

Nice ! I had a 85 Red Skyline 2 dr when I was stationed in Okinawa. Love this car. I paid $1500 for mine. Not able to ship to states in late 90's . Enjoy your beautiful car !

Skyline RS TV commercial in Japan was featured with Paul Newman. He said “terrific” at the end of the commercial. There is a rumor that the RS had a future GT-R 6 cylinder DOHC was in it. It was a test market model before re-announcing new GT-R in future at that time. Yes, it was 4 cylinders DOHC turbo in Japan. Somewhat there were disappointment among Skyline fun in Japan at that time, but it was the right approach to marketing test for the future GT-R.
when I came to Japan in the 90's they were everywhere...!

To me the most beautiful Skyline of all range..Sadly we didn't got those in Canada, we got the Stanza which replaced the R31 in Australia.
R31 never got replaced in aus

@@kazio1866 赤黒のRSはカッコイイけどGT-Rじゃないよ。当時はRナンバーが切望されてたけど、次期型R31でもGTS－Rで、GT-Rが復活するのはR32型です。

Sweet DR30! IMHO more desirable than a 32 or 33 or even the GTR35... ultimate skyline stable for me would be the KPGC10 GTR, DR30 RS 2000, and a BNR34... maybe - maybe even a C110 Kenmeri

Closest America had to an r30 is the 84-89 Nissan S12 coupe, it may not seem like it but the similarities r big, side view looks same, interior is same, and both use the CA engine
My first car was a 84 rs skyline gray and black mint and i sold it for 800$ in 1997 because I wanted something more modern woww how stupid was i.
Wow $800, rare back then, rarer now.

There were a lot when I was a kid growing up in Saudi Arabia, but now not a lot of them left. people drift them and crush them. I know it's stupid but what can I do about it? They also came as 4dr. I believe shares same chasie as the nissan Laural.
I would remove all those aftermarket gauges and that steering wheel everything original thanks
Really beautiful car, but it would drive me nuts if that steering wheel is that much misaligned like it looks.

この型のRSにも昔乗ってたが、次のR31と比較すると、ブレーキキャリパーの作りが良くないし、エンジンの振動も大きく、エンジンフードを開けて向かって右側に揺れ止めのトルクロッドが付いていた。点火系もR31には遠く及ばない。R31のDOHCターボにも乗っていたが。R31にしても欠点は有った。エンジンをチューンアップすると、５気筒目と６気筒目の排気側のヘッドガスケットが吹き抜けたりした。
Just got my r31
