  • The Two Dyspraxics, (Barbara Neill and Matthew Munson) discuss how dyspraxic people deal with labels, from both themselves and others.

We'd recently had a conversation about how people can interpret and understand labels of disability in very different ways - and react!
We also share our own stories of how we were first diagnosed, and how those labels have had effects on our lives.

Having been diagnosed at age 8 twenty years ago, also that my problems overlap with dyslexia and dyscalculia without my label my life is a nightmare to be honest of being judged belittled and upset from others its hiding it all these years that caused all the misery and upset I now find myself in a state of unemployment I do lots of volentree work stuck on the benefits system, I have achieved a degree but it has come at a great personal cost in my personal life I dont mean to be so dark and maybe you should lighten it like you are doing but please dont in working so hard to labal ban encourage denial and so may cause experiences that lead to emotional distress that is harder to overcome, without my family and my god I wouldnt have done it, but I am a fighter and I'm getting there.

A suggestion (not a very good one) for your motto: "Because Two Dyspraxics Are Better Than One"
