@@house2249 yes. After applying I waited for a good 4 months before I heard anything, which was an email saying I had been “tentatively selected” and did I accept. After accepting, it was nearly a month of phone tag and emails trying to schedule a physical examination and agility test. When all was said and done, I started my onboarding at the base where I was hired over 7 months after my initial application. And from there the waiting just continues…months of having you fill in for various security jobs on base until you get to start your actual training.

Really? I applied and the chief replied to me I have an interview Monday. Are you prior service? Cuz I’m currently a 31b military police with a current active secret clearance. Maybe that’s why?

You should look on USA JOBS and find the direct HR contact person on the location posting where you want to work, and send them your resume.

It's not a "law enforcement position. Navy focus is "Anti terrorism" a sexy term for security guards standing at a gate.
Navy Police are shorthanded everywhere. I've been a Navy Police officer for almost 5 years now.
How would you describe the job compared to that of State/Local PD?
