    Awesome work Sir! I appreciate you and your "Podify" projects. From one Ipod tweaker to another, in case you hadn't explored, swapping the slim to a thick 2007ish ipod classic back cover made more room for the HDD to SD CARD ,Bigger Battery mods for myself. Like you I destroyed my 1st ipod classic trying to cram everything into the original slim case after mods. Many thanks!

    dyi kit + "hold my hand" guide would be a thing I'd definitely buy. I've restrained from this project because I'd have to buy a lot of the stuff needed (ipod too) and I didn't wanna waste money on something I didn't know how to do

    • @Oliper-xo6hq
      @Oliper-xo6hq Před 9 měsíci

  • @kbhasi
    @kbhasi Před 2 lety

    Great to see an update! I agree with a lot of your points!
    When I watched the original video, I've had the idea to do something remotely similar, but I'm currently busy with other projects, and have to work on other projects to lay the groundwork and dependencies.

    • @kbhasi
      @kbhasi Před 2 lety

      I should mention that in that project, I'm imagining using a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (or newer), prototyping using the official I/O board, then spinning up custom PCBs to make the actual modules fit onto the mid-frame within the (broken device that isn't an iPod) shell with all the right connectors to make the hardware side a drop-in replacement. The software, however, is a different story, and that's one of the things I'd need to work on prior to the project I had imagined.

    Not bad bud. Thanks for all the work that you do. I find it hilarious that someone would call it pointless. I have been making projects for years and never once have I had the desire to make anything that wasn’t “pointless”.

  • @red13emerald
    @red13emerald Před 3 lety

    Don't listen to the haters and the meanies, what you did is absolutely amazing! No matter how simple it may seem to those who didn't actually do anything and can just complain, you've done a great thing that made a lot of people happy. The way you presented and documented your project opened the door for and brought together so many who had the same dream as you, and they will remember and be thankful to you for as long as their iPods pair with their Bluetooth headphones.

  • @Ikbenjanus
