- Palästinalied is a German Teutonic knight song. Palästinalied (Palestine Song, also known as Kreuzlied "Song of the Cross"), was written by Walther von der Vogelweide, the most celebrated German mediaeval lyric poet. Its subject matter is Palestine and the crusades. It is Walther's only song where not only the text but also the original tune was handed down to modern times. The full song consists of 13 strophes in Middle High German. Modern performers usually use only a few of these strophes.

His mother was a Christian and he had a lot of sympathy to Christians over it. He converted to Christianity later in life and by doing so as Emperor he converted the whole Roman empire at its largest expansion right to Egypt. He ended the persecution of Christians and stopped a large civil war that was about to erupt in Rome which probably would of led to the religion ceased to existing. I would genuinely put him as one of the biggest contributors of the faith right under Jesus. Every priest still bears his symbol on their robe to this very day, that his the effect he had. It is pity the faith has forgotten him and allowed his burial site to be desecrated and the burial of the apostles by Heretics.
