Great truth moments in this video. I wish I had watched this when I started investing thousands of dollars in Shopify sites two years ago. Shopify is definitely not a "if you build it, they will come" model. I have switched my efforts to consulting businesses on selling on Amazon, maximizing social media, running lead gen ads & all possible activities to drive new business & product sales.
I have figured it out that Amazon is the best way to go as it's the biggest marketplace in the world, the most trusted marketplace, and shoppers habit to buy in amazon like myself. I shop a lot in amazon as I trust amazon.
So u would say its easier to just start with amazon?
Not necessarily. I would plan on spending money each month on Google Ads or some way of directing traffic to your Shopify site. Typically, $10/day is the recommended budget minimum with Google ads. It's not a "if you build it, they will come" kind of thing, which I learned over time. 😁😁 Organic traffic alone has not sent me a lot of sales. With Amazon, it is a different ballgame and Jungle Scout has a bunch of great learning and testimonial videos for Amazon. Finally, I use a product centric approach: I analyze the different selling platforms, run tools and figure out the products I choose to sell and where. Hop this helps! 😎

If that stuff is truly profitable, why don't you spend your time doing it instead of "consulting businesses"? It seems like you're teaching them to do stuff that isn't actually worth your own time.

Hi Jake! Very informative video. I just wanted to ask the process in which we are to dropship the product and we've listed it as FBM. What's the process? Do I send the labels to the suppliers? And do they get picked up by the Amazon partnered couriers? And what if our suppliers offer free shipping, what steps do we need to go through.

As per Amazon DS policy, we have to make sure that we are the seller of the record. How can we do that? Does it mean that we have to dropship a product that is our own brand (like PL) or this can be a product that is already available on Amazon (like OA)? 😵😵

(If I get COD type payment order from amazon customer how should I fullfill the order with Dropshiping store ) how will I receive the payment??
The customer pays the deliverer or shipper using cash or card. The COD amount is then deposited into the account of the logistics partner or shipper. The logistics company remits the amount to the seller's account after deducting the handling charges.
Drop shipping on Amazon is prohibited. Store gets suspended without any notice.
Its allowed under certain circumstances. The product must have your name on the package and address where the customer can return the product

They won’t. I have complained about Dropshipping Guru’s ruining the market because everyone they sell dreams to, end up producing shitty stores that then kill trust in ecommerce brands.

what do you think of AutoDS dropshipping platform?
I have been watching videos of AutoDs but I don't think it will be a good idea to source products from them. AutoDs suppliers mostly include marketplaces like eBay, Amazon and Walmart. Don't source products from any place where you won't be identified as the seller of record because it will do you more harm than good. It is completely against Amazon's dropshipping policy.

I select a product for less than $25 in the category I’m selling, and then click the buy button. In the final stage, amazon charges me an additional $5.99 shipping fee, since the price of the product is less than $ 25. At this point, is that $5.99 transferred to the seller’s own account or is that fee transferred to amazon due to amazon policies?

Amazon recently banned dropshipping! Why don't you mention that? Talk to any amazon seller central rep & they will tell you the same.

Amazon doesn't ban drop shipping. What it requires you to do is you must be identified as the seller of record on all shipments.
