    Great. I'm all for it. But sadly, I doubt the rail will reach into the Kern River Valley. If it did, I would be a regular rider.
    My 19 year old car won't last forever. And I do not have the funds to buy another car. And as a senior, the rail would give me mobility that otherwise would be lost.

    These idiots can’t even get an off ramp right on the new freeway, but want to build a high speed railroad? Hahaha

    Feedback on what exactly? The lack of any real progress? The cost overrun? The pointlessness of a Bakersfield-Merced connection?

    They been building this train for years … now that the Vegas train is coming to Rancho Cucamonga ca in Two years .., now the California train they going to take it seriously 😂 .. WOW but is a good thing for union jobs 🤷🏻‍♂️

    I thought that was supposed to be an hour from sf to la, that was the competition with air travel. Now it's 2:40? When it's done I'll have to pay $110/year in taxes, a ticket will be $190, and it will take 5 hours. Thanks but no thanks. I'll drive my car and avoid the violent, dirty sardine tube. Actually, I'll just move out and avoid this expensive nonsense altogether.
