This is not a bug. It's called y-boost (referencing the y axis on a graph). It's an in game mechanic that helps stabilize super jump combos. It can work with any character or move that allows upward momentum as you are hitting them. Another example would be Sentinel super jumping during the last set of HSF drones hitting the opponent. You have enough time to fly cancel and travel full screen to do whatever. This specific Hayato setup your talking about is dope af, but the execution barrier (Dark Hayato super input is hella weird) will fuck up most players. Still dope af tho. Yeah it's strange to me that even after showing this off I still haven't seen people doing it. There's really no reason to not do the dragon punch into the plasma field it just makes no sense when I see people do a couple of hits into shiden and then some other kind of super like sword slash or power geyser it's like dude you literally can like kill the dude for free it like what are you doing? Anyway on a certain level it almost makes me think that I should learn the game and make a team or something because if you have a character that can kill you off of any straight hit automatically I mean how many other characters can say that? To be honest I think it's actually kind of broken and stupid
I play him and I’m trying to do something that’ll set flying screen so I can hit a double gamma crush with hulk, it’s possible for me to confirm lk mk hp h.dp qcb kk into gamma crush and if they near the corner, I try to land a jump in and I do a tag combo into pay lock into double gamma crush so I’ll be able if I could find a way to do flying screen my team could actually kill off one hit with 1 bar
Oh geez I dunno anything about hulk, honestly I am not even super well vsed on MVC2 in general. I just have a small amount of knowledge. Like I said even when I made my original videos for the game, I sent it to other people to make sure the stuff was new and worth putting out. I had to double check multiple times.

Well I'll tell you what I think this is pretty broken and dumb that's for sure to be honest I'll probably do a video talking about how I would rebalance them because no character should kill you instantly from hitting you with a single light attack from anywhere on the screen.

I think what makes this game broken is simply because these characters all from different marvel vs games including their code glued together by whatever the developers made make them stick. Hence why certain characters that work in other games don’t work in mvc2 and in vice Versa.
Notice how majority of the god tiers were already god tiers in their respective vs games or the changes in mvc2 made them marginally better like dhalsim

There was a ton of people who did, full screen plasma field to wiff ninja dash to micro dash shiden for instant kill combos off any attack? If that was the case why is there no footage or discussion of it that ive ever seen? Which is also strange because even when I made my combo video 10 years ago for the game and went to all the combo videos for the game, including the people that were doing TAS combo videos, no one had ever seen the stuff I was even doing in THAT video... very very suspicious id say. Especially to say this is basic and a ton of people were doing it lol. Again surely if a ton of people were killing off of any stray hit with hayato anywhere on the screen you think there would be a lot of mention of it.
The major problem with Hayato is if you sneeze on him he dies! And he has to work a little harder than Strider, however if you are able to activate this super mid combo after an anti air prepare for fun!

the second someone shows that they can use his potential, he will be. most top players like chris matrix or jwong desperately want to put him god tier status like they have with ironman, but until someone shows that they can consistently do the sim stuff that everyone knows he can, its a bit of a moot point, but yeah that character rocks

Hayato has instant next to you teleports from the air too. I have a instant Black knight off hard knockdown. Also a nj backwards hitbox infinite ive been saving for a combo exhibition with Magnetro... I have some new tech ill upload soon.

@SaishuuKessen yeah I have a teleport tech with hayato. Also a backwards nj hitbox infinite... his level 3 can be used as an unblockable setup off of a hard knockdown setup. Sorta like sentinel creating unblockables midscreen with his down HP.

Im not aware of the last frame of hayatos black hayato being unblockable either.. or are you saying it requires a hard knock down for it to do so? What even is a hard knock down you mean just like a air combo? I know of guard break stuff solo with him into unblockable black hayato stuff, but I dunno anything like a sentinel thing.
