Don't forget to like and subscribe, it's lovely to have you here x
I like the drapey sleeves on the “holey” blouse.
Thank you
Love that Salto top and your "the blouse" in that gorgeous fabric. Also love your Sagebrush! Very inspiring.
Thank you Emma, it's lovely to hear from you
Thanks for sharing all your beautiful tops. I love the Paddington top. I've only made one but plan to make a few more this summer. While I love the buttoned back detail, I decided to cut the back on the fold and just have a pullover top. I really like the puffy sleeve without having a puffy shoulder. And it makes up so quickly.
Thank you Jeanette, that's a great idea about the Paddington Top!
Excellent suggestions- thanks for sharing x
Thank you, it's lovely to hear from you
Thanks for this video Cara! I’m definitely going to try the Emma pattern. Yours is gorgeous!
Thank you Diane, I hope you're well
Great video Cara, I am definitely going to try the Emma Blouse. Thanks for all your hard work giving us such great content. ❤
Thank you Roz, it's lovely to hear from you
Hi Cara, gorgeous pics and that Salto top looks so interesting 👌💖. You look lovely in everything and I agree that certain garments that you wear can really remind you of a holiday or a great day out 🙏👌. Really enjoyed watching this Cara.. thank you so much 😁🥰🤗😘
Hi Sally thank you, I hope you're keeping well
The Maison Fauve Salto is my favourite sleeveless top. Takes hardly any fabric and looks stunning. I made 2 for my hols and got some great comments when wearing them xx
Ah Im super jealous, I'd love to make one v soon!
Cute tops!
Thank you
Fabulous tops - I love them all especially your Sage brush. I want to try that next. Have made Frida and Olivia tops this Spring and love them both. Thanks for your great videos!
Thank you Sarah that's very kind of you
I haven’t heard of most of these patterns. I only purchase from the Big 4 but your tops are beautiful!! I really like the first one you were wearing and your tank top. So pretty. I’m obsessed with different patterns and tops. I may need to broaden my choices
Hi Debbie, the world is your oyster, how exciting to discover new patterns, it's lovely to hear from you
Thank you 💛
Lovely to hear from you
Such a lovely vlog, so many inspirational makes. Struggling to find the Emma pattern.
Hi, thank you, type Emma blouse Tiana designs into Google, it'll be there
Great to see so many versions, definitely handing out the inspiration there !! I love that sagebrush in the broderie anglaise, I have something like the bigger eyelets in my stash 🤔😀 thanks Cara
Hi Dazzy, go for it! Lovely to hear from you
Your Emma version is SO Beautiful!!
Thank you Ruth that's very kind of you
It was nice to see the soi silk cami as a favourite ,as it is mine too. I think once I had the fit right combining several sizes. I like the fact it’s so cool but gives good coverage and I don’t particularly need it but prefer it😆 great vlog Cara. I love the broderie anglaise blouse you’re wearing. I haven’t made a sage brush top but would love a double gauze one as feel the cold so much. 😊
Hi Ruth, glad to hear you like my choices, I always really appreciate your comments
@@sosewmad Thank you 🙏😊xx
Love the Broderie Anglaise Sagebrush, so summery and classic 😎. Great video Cara, I’ve made the Frieda and agree is you want it a bit looser maybe grade out to the next size. I love it and haven’t sized up and still find it nice and drapey for work and casual. Have to make another one or two. I made both in viscose. 🌸
Hi Hayley, your tops sound amazing! Have a wonderful weekend
I loved this vlog, I’m a complete novice and just about to make my first t shirt and now feel inspired to make much more 😊
Hi Naomi, how lovely, enjoy! The Naya t shirt that I mention in my latest vlog is super simple as a beginner project. Have fun xx
Oh Cara , your Honey blouse is just fantastic! and the fabric❤❤❤. Thanks for taking the time to do another great vlog. Claire
Thank you Claire that's really kind of you
You made some lovely tops. I must make the tunic top soon, and possibly also the SOI sleeveless one. I really like the Frida blouse, also TATB Stevie is great for warm weather, (it also suits lots of diffferent abric types and isgood for colour blocking) and I find the SOI Pussy Bow much more wearable than I would have expected.
Wow some fabulous patterns suggestions there, I love them all! So hard to select just a few 😅
I enjoyed seeing your selection of summer top patterns! One of my favourites is the Love Notions Laundry Day Tee/Dress. Working on the LN Lenox top. Next on my list are the Amodor and Zakopane tops from Itch to Stich. Thanks for a great video, Cara!
Thank you Laura, gosh there are some amazing suggestions! I'll check them out
Thanks for all the inspiration😊.. With our warm weather the last week I can finally look forward to some summer sewing plans... perhaps a roundup on jumpsuits?
Ah, you read my mind! Dresses and Jumpsuits coming v soon 😁
Thanks for a really useful guide to tops Cara, I'm definitely going to try the Maison Fauve Salto and the SOI silk cami this year. I'm a fan of the Atelier Jupe patterns too, I made the Zoey blouse this week and really like it too, but the Frieda is my favourite so far
Hi Judith, that's some amazing plans, how exciting!
I love your Emma blouse and I think the idea for tried and tested patterns is great. Really enjoyed this blog.
Thank you Tracey, it's lovely to hear from you
Thanks for sharing your favourite blouses Cara, I’m still searching for my tried and true. Currently working on a Hailey shirt by Experimental Space. 🌈🍓💙
Hi Jenny how's the Isle of white? I hope you're ok
@@sosewmad Hi Cara, all good thanks but currently struggling with my sewjo, I’m going to a sewing retreat this weekend and hoping that will get me kickstarted again. 🧶🌈🍓💙
Ooo that sounds lovely
@@sosewmad It has the added bonus of only being 5 minutes from my daughters’ house, so I get to see both of them also. 😀
Thoroughly enjoyed this video Cara, you have made some beautiful tops using some gorgeous fabrics.🌹🌹🌹
Thank you so much Eileen, have you got some sewing planned at the moment?
Thank you for all those recommendations. I will be downloading the Emma blouse and purchasing the cami pattern 😀 A pattern I am about to start sewing is the Heron blouse from Sewing Revival. It has a sleeveless version, short sleeves and a gorgeous split long sleeve. Can be high necked or open. Hoping my sewing will be up to it!
Ooo I love the heron blouse, great choice!
Love them all💕 So pretty - I like an open neck as well. Great makes! Thanks so much for sharing... I'm inspired to make a blouse for summer now! (Or 2... Or 3!). Can't wait to see what you make next! 🥰🌻🌷🌺🌹💖
Thank you that's very kind of you
Thank you Cara a great video and lots of inspiration. X
You're welcome Trisha,
Lovely to hear from you
Some super pattern choices - the Maison Favuve Salto looks very chic for a sleeveless top. The sagebrush is a favorite of mine - love your broderie anglaise version 🥰 Do you think it would work in a jersey fabric? I have a RTW t-shirt that is very similar in design so was thinking of giving it a go in a cotton jersey.
Hi Lynda, I think it would, maybe a cotton jersey or something with a bit of structure, that's a lovely idea
Fabulous vlog Cara good choice of summer tops ☀️ 🥰
Thank you Lynne
Loved this Cara Thankyou.
Thank you maz much appreciated
Lovely collection of tops! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
Hi Kate, thank you
@@sosewmad ❤️
Great video Cara and I love all of the tops x
Thank you Susan
FYI there are except uses you can do to fix the hump on your upper spin.
Ok thanks
Nicely done video 📷
Thank you Karol, have a lovely weekend
All of your blouse are so pretty! I really want to try Maison Fauve patterns…. I usually do pdf patterns but their new collection is not in pdf format. Do you know if they plan to release these in pdf at some point. Also….are their patterns only in french?
Hi Donna, mason Fauve keep the current patterns on pdf only to help protect their designs, they release them as PDFs in about 18months after the launch, I'm also used to PDFs but it's been a lovely change to hv a paper copy. Their instructions are in french and English
@@sosewmad Thanks for this info Cara...I wondered if it might be something to that effect. I don't see too many stockist in the US and none with the newer patterns. Hopefully that will change soon. Their patterns look so great....I am eager to try them.
Do have petite patterns please
Hi, this isn't something I've looked into I'm afraid, each pattern company create their own size range
