Not being much of a car guy (my love are HD Softails and BMW R18B motorcycles), I bought the 6 cylinder Defender 110 XE a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE it. It's luxury tank that will plow through anything and the interior is so classically detailed. My wife's Jeep Cherokee seems like a plastic toy compared to this solidly built beast. Couldn't be more happier. Although I rarely would say this, this Land Rover is definitely worth the money. By the way, the screen is a perfect size and is proportional to the dashboard.

Hey guys, one correction for the video: This Defender 110 is has the "County Exterior Pack" with the white steelies among other cosmetic differences, rather than the *Country* Pack that's available under accessories for certain Defender trims. It's confusing for sure, but we did indeed make a mistake on that one here - sorry about that. Thanks for watching!

The volume knob makes sense where it’s at. It allows the passenger (usually the better half 😜) to have control of the sound level. The driver will usually use the steering wheel control to set the volume.

The Ingenium straight 6 has both a centrifugal supercharger and turbo charger which work together. Supercharger kicks in at lower RPM via 48v system for quick torque then the traditional turbo charger kicks in at higher RPMs. Interesting setup harking back to old Lancia analog compounded supercharged/turbo systems in their early 80’s rally cars.

I expect a 90 optioned with the stealies, off-road tires (from factory) the air suspension and locking diffs will be as off-road capable as the Ineos. I think the Ineos is so much of a heavy truck that it will struggle over obstacles the 90 will skip over, especially with the higher tide height/articulation of the air suspension. I’d love to see an over landing video of the Land Rover, new Land Cruiser, Ineos, Wrangler, Bronco, and G-Wagen over an extended course like the old Camel Trophy. Perfect for Top Gear, The Grand Tour, Nat Geo, History Channel or Amazon. I’d pay to watch it.

I watched a comparison grenadier vs wrangler and the CHEAPER wrangler seemed to have an easier time getting around than the grenadier. So it’ll be interesting to see a defender against the grenadier. These are cool but seriously you have to be some kind of nut to buy these British engineered piles of crap. This one made Slovakia but if anything they are worse then the crap made in the UK. Its a hard pass for me. The fact that most owners dump them before the warranty expires is telling.

@@HiPlains1 I've had my LR4 for 8 years and with relatively few problems. My next vehicle is probably going to be a Land Rover (or maybe the Grenadier). Most people who rail on Land Rover reliability are people who've never owned one or bought a clapped out, uncared for used one for pennies on the dollar. Yes, TFL had their issues with the white one they bought, but that appears to have been a somewhat isolated incident. Theirs threw codes nearly from the start, which seems to be a first-year hiccup on an entirely brand new vehicle model and not emblematic of long-term reliability. Every manufacturer has them, even Toyota. The 2.0 4cyl turbo on these has proven to be fairly reliable.

The P400 is an excellent engine
The Defender 110 weighs about 2.4 tonne, unladen.
    Then add passengers etc
    And
    It’s not an aerodynamic shape
Of course, fuel economy won’t be brilliant !
    The same engine in other
( lighter weight JLR product )
    Has much better economy…
    Roman,
The multi function display screen fitted in that vehicle, looks like the smaller one, not the larger
11.4 inch size, that is available.
Humongous screens that dominate the interior, might look very flashy, but…..
Defender is not trying to be that type of vehicle.
Defender is offered in different body styles, different engines, different trim levels etc
Many factory options & accessories etc
It’s a very comfortable daily driver, with tech and safety features.
Fantastic off road ability ( way more then 90 % of buyers will require ) comes standard.
No wonder Defender is an ongoing worldwide sales success for LR.
If you want a lot more off road capability, as some do, modify it to suit your specific requirements
    EG - Steve Burt
Who was on your channel, with his modified Defenders…
Defender is also a fantastic overlanding vehicle…
Grenadier is not as comfortable etc, as a daily driver.
Wrangler off the showroom floor, might have more off road capability, but it’s not as good as Defender, with regards to comfort & daily driving etc
People buy what they like & what suits them
    If that’s a Wrangler, great
    If that’s a Grenadier, great
    Each to their own…
    And
    Can’t u read the badge
    It says County
    Not CountRy !
County was a Defender model offered many years ago with previous generation Defender..
    🤷🏻‍♂️

If it's a hybrid, you should nver have to know when the turbo finally spools up. If you colkd feel the turbo lag, it means that hybrid motor didn't do jack squat when you gave it the beans. if done right the hybrid motor would launch the vehicle and then the engine would take over after reaching the max torque range.

You must be joking. Going through 3 of them is NOT ancient history. Given the abysmal reputation and the TFL experience backing that up, why would any sane person consider these? Too many good cars/trucks. For a capable but luxurious off-roader I'd just get a Bronco Raptor (I'm assuming their interiors are up to the same level as the F150 Raptor, which have exceptionally comfortable seating). You could always spend a little to customize/leather wrap the dash and door cards if you wanted it that extra bit special.

@@davva360Unless I'm missing something, I think that's what he meant. Swing direction wise, it's a bad design for 2/3 of the world's market, including the US and all of North America, actually most of the Americas. In addition to the other deficits of the design he did note, I was expecting Nate to mention that aspect as he was opening it. Only good for Great Britain and its existing and former colonies and others historically strongly so-influenced, and Japan. Oddly, they're not the only ones, some Americans including Jeep as well. Some fanboys have countered that (in left-hand drive countries) in case of a changing a tire on the road, with traffic it's safer to remove the tire.... but wouldn't/ couldn't you remove it before you swing the door to begin with? (And that argument doesn't hold with the right hand drive world then.). I've seen enough of these, I just think it's not on some designers' / engineers' radar. And in this case, as well as vehicles like the Lexus GX to-date, they (the accountants) are obviously catering more to their domestic markets, the others be damned. Other than that aspect, swing open gates are also problematic for loading / unloading in tight on-street parking, other limited clearance situations.
